Son Goku knew that even in this form, he was no match for Vegeta's Ultra Ego. His Ultra Instinct was incomplete, and he still couldn't control his power well enough to dodge perfectly.
Vegeta smiled. "Looks like your Ultra Instinct still isn't as advanced as my Ultra Ego, Kakarot! Ha ha!"
Sweat ran down Son Goku's face. He hadn't expected Vegeta to improve so much, but he wasn't about to give up.
He tore off his shirt and said to Vegeta, "Then I'll give it everything I've got too, Vegeta."
A sacred, deep-blue aura suddenly surged around Son Goku. It fused perfectly with his Ultra Instinct, and for now, he could still sustain the transformation.
And so, Ultra Deep Blue Son Goku, with his deep-blue hair, made his entrance! Ye Ming and Whis stared open-mouthed, both astonished by the sight.
Whis smiled. "It seems his transformation was greatly inspired by your battle with AF Son Goku. Son Goku's strength has certainly improved quite a bit. The outcome of this fight is hard to predict."
"I don't think so. If Son Goku can do it, Vegeta definitely won't fall behind!" Ye Ming said with a smile.
Whis was taken aback. He understood what Ye Ming meant. "It seems Vegeta has a very high chance of winning this fight!"
"There's no doubt Vegeta will win in the end, but I think the best part is watching them fight. After all, they're both comrades and rivals." Ye Ming glanced at Whis.
Back on the battlefield, Vegeta looked at Son Goku, who had completed his transformation, and was slightly surprised. "Kakarot, you really did manage to fuse your forms, just like Ye Ming!"
Son Goku smiled in reply. "And haven't you done the same, Vegeta? Come on, give it your all. Let's settle this in one final showdown!"
"As you wish, Kakarot," Vegeta said haughtily.
As he spoke, a deep-blue aura burst from Vegeta. It was almost identical to the energy radiating from Son Goku. After purple and deep-blue energy intertwined, Vegeta appeared before everyone.
Part of his hair was blue, and part was purple. His aura was far more powerful than before!
This was Vegeta's Ultra Ego Deep Blue Form. The purple and deep-blue energy around him swirled together, and his expression had become even more fierce and wicked than before.
Vegeta tilted his head. "Let's keep going, Kakarot. I'll beat you to a pulp. I have the pride of a Super Saiyan prince!"
And so, the battle began. Son Goku circled around behind Vegeta, but Vegeta had anticipated it. He caught Son Goku's hand with his own, then swung him down into the ground.
Son Goku immediately sprang back to his feet. By then, Vegeta had already formed a ball of Hakai Energy and sent it flying toward him.
Son Goku didn't dodge. He took the Hakai Energy head-on, his hands wreathed in Ultra Instinct energy. He roared, "Disperse!"
Son Goku gradually compressed the Hakai Energy until it vanished in a brilliant flash of light.
Vegeta looked down at Son Goku and grinned. Then he immediately swooped down to attack Kakarot!
Vegeta turned into a purple-blue bolt of lightning and drove a punch toward Son Goku's face. But Son Goku wore a triumphant smile and vanished from where he stood.
Vegeta was slightly surprised. He sensed Son Goku on his left and was about to strike back.
Suddenly, a huge flash of light erupted from the spot where Son Goku had been standing. It was clearly an attack Son Goku had set up earlier.
Boom!!! A mushroom cloud surged into the sky.
Son Goku stared at Vegeta amid the smoke, his brow furrowing. A faint voice rang out. "Kakarot, is that all you've got? A few cheap tricks?"
Hearing this, Son Goku hurriedly blinked away, putting distance between himself and the crater.
But in the next instant, Vegeta appeared behind him. Blue-purple lightning flashed through Vegeta's pupils as he punched Son Goku in the waist. Son Goku spat up a mouthful of blood and skidded across the ground, leaving a deep furrow behind him.
Ultra Instinct had warned him automatically, but his reaction had still been a fraction too slow. His body hadn't managed to move in time.
Vegeta said proudly, "Looks like I'm about to win this match, Kakarot. Once you've perfected your Ultra Instinct, I look forward to another fight."
Son Goku grinned. Vegeta's punch had hurt, but he said, "I haven't given up yet, Vegeta. Not just yet."
When he finished speaking, energy surged around him again. He roared, "Kaioken!"
A terrifying power kept erupting from Son Goku. The red steam dyed even the God of Destruction Realm in Universe 7 a hazy red!
Vegeta furrowed his brow. He knew Son Goku was about to use his signature move, Kaioken! But Son Goku wouldn't be able to sustain it for long, so Vegeta had to end the fight quickly.
Vegeta immediately became a bolt of lightning and charged at Son Goku. Son Goku roared, "Kaioken times thirty! Hyaa..."
Son Goku refused to back down and clashed head-on with Vegeta. A purple-blue figure and a red-and-blue figure wrestled in the sky.
Whis and Ye Ming watched every moment of their battle.
Son Goku and Vegeta's figures crossed back and forth in the sky. Son Goku suddenly spotted an opening and threw a punch, but Vegeta hastily blocked it with his hand.
But Son Goku had no intention of letting Vegeta have his way. He instantly raised his energy again, using Kaioken times fifty. At that moment, his strength had reached its limit.
Vegeta hadn't expected Kakarot to have another move in reserve. Son Goku's punch struck him in the abdomen, then sent him crashing into the ground, where he left a huge crater.
Son Goku knew this was his chance to defeat Vegeta. A Kamehameha gathered in his hands, and he poured every last bit of his energy into the attack.
Vegeta opened his eyes on the ground. He had already figured out that Son Goku meant to settle the fight with this move. He rose to his feet and grinned. "Then I'll give you what you want, Kakarot."
Veins bulged on Vegeta's forehead as he gathered a Final Flash in his hands. This time, he infused it with Hakai Energy, making it far stronger than before.
Vegeta roared as blue-purple light surged around him to its limit. He finished gathering the Final Flash and shouted to Son Goku, "Kakarot! Take this!"
Son Goku refused to back down and retaliated. Soon, the two immense energies collided! The God of Destruction Realm trembled beneath their overwhelming pressure. Whis waved his staff, strengthening the barrier once more.
They knew the winner would soon be decided. Vegeta said to Kakarot, "Kakarot, I've won this time. You're out of energy."
As he spoke, Vegeta unleashed his power again, pushing himself to his limit. The Final Flash in his hands grew even stronger.
Before long, Son Goku could no longer hold on. His energy rapidly drained away, and Vegeta's Final Flash came hurtling toward him.
Ye Ming noticed what was happening. He instantly appeared beside Son Goku and caught him in his arms. Transforming into Super Saiyan 4, he gathered energy in his hand and completely canceled out Vegeta's attack.
If Son Goku had taken that hit, he might have been seriously injured. Fortunately, Ye Ming had stepped in just in time. It seemed Vegeta was still as decisive as ever!
By then, Son Goku had collapsed weakly onto the ground. Vegeta, breathing hard, flew over to Ye Ming.
The last moment was still fresh in his mind. Vegeta hadn't intended to kill Kakarot, but he had to admit that he'd used too much force.
Son Goku lay weakly on the ground and said to Vegeta, "You win, Vegeta. You're really strong!"
"I don't need your praise, Kakarot. We'll settle this again next time. Consider this a wake-up call," Vegeta said, chin held high.
"Okay, okay. Once I've perfected my Ultra Instinct, we'll fight again!" Son Goku said, squinting.
Vegeta snorted and said nothing, though deep down, he was more than willing.
Ye Ming smiled. "You've all improved a lot lately. Once we've dealt with our current business, I'll teach you how to transform into Super Saiyan 4. You're strong enough to handle it now."
Son Goku and Vegeta were a little excited to hear that Ye Ming would teach them how to transform into Super Saiyan 4.
Vegeta also longed to attain a transformation that would elevate his Saiyan bloodline. Seeing AF Son Goku transform into Super Saiyan 5 earlier had left him deeply unsettled.
