"Oh?"
Whis chuckled, his tone laced with a hint of mockery.
"Lord Champa, it seems Lin Fan has left you with some psychological trauma, hasn't he?"
"You still haven't forgotten the scene from back then, when Lord Lin Fan suppressed you so effortlessly?"
Vados helplessly pressed a hand to her forehead and whispered a reminder:
"Lord Champa, please mind your image as a God of Destruction."
"It wouldn't look good if word got out that you were acting so uncomposed."
Champa's cheeks flushed bright red instantly as he realized just how pathetic he had looked a moment ago.
He hurriedly cleared his throat and feigned disdain, saying:
"What psychological trauma? I'm just stating the facts!"
"Lin Fan's strength has long since exceeded the scope of a normal contestant; letting him participate is just bullying!"
"Anyway, my stance remains unchanged. If he enters the tournament, there won't be any competition!"
Beerus found Champa's stubborn, die-hard attitude rather amusing.
He hadn't actually intended to let Lin Fan fight anyway; after all, the purpose of this tournament was primarily to let Son Goku and the others gain experience.
"Fine, then we won't have Lin Fan participate."
Beerus waved his hand dismissively.
"But the rules will have to change. We will only send Son Goku, Vegeta, and Son Gohan."
"Since you have five people, our three will take on your five. That should be fair enough, right?"
"What? Three against five?"
Champa was stunned for a moment, then his face lit up with overwhelming joy.
"Beerus, you aren't joking, are you?"
He looked Son Goku and the others up and down, already beginning to calculate the odds in his mind.
These three little guys might have some strength, but they were ultimately just mortal warriors. Three against five—this was practically a free win!
He was going to win this tournament for sure!
"Of course I'm not joking."
Beerus said indifferently.
"Good! It's settled!"
Afraid that Beerus might change his mind, Champa quickly hammered out the deal.
"I'm going to bring the Universe 6 contestants over right now!"
He beckoned to Vados.
"Vados, let's go!"
"We'll meet at the Nameless Planet in one hour!"
"Understood, Lord Champa."
Vados shook her head helplessly and followed Champa as they transformed into two streaks of light, vanishing from the castle hall in an instant.
Watching their retreating figures, Son Goku immediately turned to Whis and said:
"Whis, hurry and help Vegeta and me remove our Gravity Suits!"
"We need to use our full strength in the upcoming match, and wearing these things is too much of a hindrance."
Vegeta nodded as well, chiming in:
"That's right, take them off quickly so they don't affect our performance."
They had been training in these heavy Gravity Suits for quite some time, so naturally, they needed to shed the burden now that the tournament was approaching.
"No problem."
Whis smiled and waved his staff, casting two soft beams of light onto Son Goku and Vegeta.
With a few light clicks, the Gravity Suits on both men automatically unlocked and fell to the floor.
As soon as the suits were removed, Son Goku and Vegeta both released a slight burst of energy.
Two powerful auras radiated from their bodies, causing the very air in the castle hall to tremble.
Even though it was just a casual release of energy, it carried an intense pressure that would be enough to strike fear into the hearts of ordinary warriors in the universe.
Standing to the side, Son Gohan's pupils flickered slightly, and he instinctively clenched his fists.
He could clearly feel that the auras of Son Goku and Vegeta had grown significantly stronger than before; the gap between him and them was still quite vast.
"Haha, that feels much better!"
Son Goku stretched his limbs, an excited grin spreading across his face.
"After training in the Gravity Suit for this long, my body feels so much lighter now that I've taken it off!"
Vegeta also stretched his arms, feeling the surging power within his body, and a confident smirk curled at the corner of his mouth:
"After this period of training, my base combat power in my normal state has improved quite a bit."
"I'm also on the verge of touching a new limit with the power of Super Saiyan God Blue."
Son Goku quickly chimed in:
"Me too, me too!"
"I'm still trying to break through the limits of Super Saiyan 4 Ultra Full Power; who knows, I might have a new breakthrough during the tournament!"
Son Gohan looked at the two of them and couldn't help but ask:
"With the three of us facing five opponents, how should we arrange the order of appearance?"
"Who goes first?"
"Obviously, I go first!"
Vegeta said immediately, his tone full of confidence, "With the likes of those from Universe 6, I can take care of them all by myself!"
"There's no need for you two to even step in; I'll defeat all five of them alone!"
"Why should you go first?"
Son Goku immediately retorted, "I want to lead the charge too! I still want to have a good spar with the strong fighters from other universes!"
"If you finish them all off by yourself, what am I supposed to fight?"
"Hmph, your strength isn't up to par with mine, you'd just be throwing it away if you went first!"
Vegeta said dismissively, "Better to let me go first and settle this quickly!"
"Who are you saying isn't as strong as you?"
Son Goku became anxious at once, "I didn't lose to you in our last training match!"
The two immediately started arguing, neither willing to give an inch, both fighting to lead the charge.
"Alright, enough bickering."
Beerus frowned and interrupted them, "I will decide the order of appearance."
"Son Gohan goes first, Vegeta second, and Son Goku last."
"Huh? I'm last?"
Son Goku instantly looked like a deflated balloon, his head drooping, "But if that's the case, what if all the strong fighters from Universe 6 are finished off by Gohan and Vegeta? Won't I have nothing left to fight?"
He looked aggrieved; he was looking forward to the battle so much that it would be a huge letdown if he didn't even get a chance to step into the ring.
Beerus glanced at him and said indifferently:
"Rest assured, you won't be left without a fight."
"I'm adding a rule: if the opponent only has one fighter left, even if Vegeta hasn't lost, he must let Son Goku take the stage."
"That way, you don't have to worry about not having a fight."
"Really?"
Son Goku's eyes lit up instantly, the disappointment from a moment ago vanished, and he perked up immediately, "That's great! Thank you, Lord Beerus!"
He rubbed his hands together, already looking forward to the battle against the final powerhouse of Universe 6.
Upon hearing this additional rule, Vegeta didn't object, effectively accepting the arrangement.
In any case, he and Son Gohan could definitely handle the first four opponents with ease.
As for the final opponent, he would let Son Goku deal with them; it would be a good chance to see exactly how much strength the strongest warrior of Universe 6 truly possessed.
Son Gohan nodded and said in a serious tone:
"I understand, I will go first."
"I will try to take out as many opponents as possible to buy more rest time for Vegeta and Goku."
"I don't need your help; I can handle the first four opponents by myself,"
Vegeta said proudly, "You just need to take care of the first one, and leave the remaining three to me; I guarantee it won't delay Goku from facing the final one."
Son Goku hurriedly said:
"Vegeta, don't go bragging! What if the first four opponents from Universe 6 are all very strong, and you can't handle them alone?"
"Hmph, no matter how strong they are, they couldn't possibly be my match!"
Vegeta let out a cold snort, his eyes filled with confidence.
Ever since he began training under Lin Fan and mastered Super Saiyan 4 Ultra Full Power, his strength had ascended to an entirely new level.
He had absolute confidence that dealing with the warriors of Universe 6 would be more than enough.
Beerus nodded and said to everyone:
"Let's go."
