Rain pattered incessantly against the eaves of Konoha.

Deep within the Uchiha compound, inside a dilapidated attic, Su Ye snapped his eyes open.

An unfamiliar ceiling, air thick with the smell of mold, and... a piercing, needle-like agony radiating from his eye sockets.

"Hiss..." He drew a sharp breath, instinctively raising a hand to touch his eyes. His fingertips did not meet the familiar frames of his glasses, but rather warm skin etched with faint, intricate patterns.
