Sasuke sat cross-legged before it, Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan hovering in his palm as the golden Power of the Fire Seed flowed slowly from his fingertips. The runes on the tablet's surface writhed like living things, answering the patterns in Shisui's eyes with a faint hum.
Obito stood a short distance away, the fluctuations of the Kamui Dimension flickering around him. Watching Sasuke's focused profile, he unconsciously rubbed his Sharingan with his fingertips. "On the night of the massacre, when I found this eye among the ruins, it still held traces of Shisui's chakra. Now I see that he had long since foreseen the return of the Void Realm."
Su Ye's Rinne Sharingan turned slowly, its pale purple light enveloping the entire forbidden ground. Countless tiny runes emerged from the cracks between the stones, joining the symbols on the tablet to form a massive array. "These runes are Spatial Marks left behind by our Uchiha ancestor, Zhibo. If I'm right, the entire ancestral ground is one enormous sealing array, and the tablet is its focal point."
As soon as he finished speaking, Sasuke suddenly groaned. Shisui's eye erupted in blinding golden light, and a golden figure emerged from it—Shisui Uchiha himself. He wore an Anbu uniform, his face bearing the familiar, gentle smile, but his expression was unusually grave. "Sasuke, Su Ye, Obito. I'm relieved to see you."
"Shisui!" Sasuke sprang to his feet, the golden Power of the Fire Seed surging out of control.
Shisui's apparition raised a hand and pressed it to Sasuke's shoulder. His touch was gentle, yet carried an unquestionable authority. "Don't get worked up. This is only a fragment of my consciousness left in the eye. It won't last long. I have a secret to tell you—the leader of the Void Realm is named 'Zhibo Gen.' He's the twin brother of our Uchiha ancestor, Zhibo."
The revelation struck like thunder, leaving all three of them stunned. The Kamui Dimension around Obito fluctuated violently, nearly exposing his position. "A twin brother? But there's no mention of that in any Uchiha records."
"Because this is Zhibo's greatest secret." Shisui's apparition sighed and turned toward the tablet. "Back then, Zhibo and Gen accidentally entered the Void Realm together. They turned against each other while fighting for a chance to return to the Shinobi World. Zhibo sacrificed half his bloodline to gain the power of space, but Gen also placed the Void Curse on him. After returning to the Shinobi World, he set up the seal to stop Gen from using Uchiha blood to open the gates to the Void Realm."
Su Ye's Rinne Sharingan suddenly pulsed violently. Its pale purple light pierced the ground, revealing the scene beneath the ancestral grounds: countless dark golden chains wound around a mass of black mist, in which a pair of scarlet eyes could just be seen. "There's something underground."
Shisui's apparition nodded, his expression growing graver. "That's a fragment of Gen's soul. On the night of the massacre, he used it to control some Root shinobi and also drew Void power from my body. Now his soul fragment is absorbing the chakra of the ancestral grounds. Once it fully awakens, it'll be able to connect with his main body outside and break the seal completely."
Naruto arrived in a hurry, carrying the Nine-Tails Chakra. As soon as he stepped into the forbidden ground, the Nine-Tails let out an angry roar. "That dark presence feels familiar. This guy nearly dragged me into the Void Realm once!"
"The Nine-Tails has encountered Gen too?" Sasuke asked in surprise.
The Nine-Tails' voice rang in everyone's minds. "A long time ago, he tried to take my Tailed Beast essence, but the First stopped him. I never thought he'd been hiding in the Uchiha ancestral grounds."
Shisui's apparition looked at the four of them, a trace of resolve flashing in his eyes. "To stop Gen, we must awaken the stone tablet's ultimate protective power. The key is to fuse the chakra of the three of you. But this fusion will be even more dangerous than last time. If you're careless, the Void power will devour you."
Su Ye clenched his fist, determination shining in his Rinne Sharingan. "We have no way back—not if we're going to protect the Shinobi World."
Sasuke and Naruto nodded at the same time. The three of them took positions on three sides of the tablet. Su Ye's Rinnegan power, Sasuke's Power of the Fire Seed, and Naruto's Tailed Beast power gathered toward the tablet like three beams of colored light. Obito activated Kamui and set up a spatial barrier around them to keep the force of the fusion from escaping.
The moment the three kinds of chakra touched the tablet, the ground shook violently. The ruins of the ancestral grounds rose into the air, forming an enormous rune overhead. The dark golden chains underground began to break, and Gen's soul fragment let out an angry roar from within the black mist. "Shisui, how dare you ruin my plans!"
A black pillar of light shot out of the mist and slammed toward them. Shisui's apparition raised a hand, and golden chakra formed a barrier. "Quick, keep fusing! I can't hold out much longer!"
Su Ye, Sasuke, and Naruto immediately poured out more chakra. Pale purple, gold, and orange-yellow chakra intertwined, forming a huge three-colored vortex above the tablet. It spun faster and faster, warping the space around it as countless ancient runes appeared within its depths.
Seeing this, Gen's soul fragment roared. The black mist gathered into a gigantic claw and tore through Shisui's barrier. Shisui's apparition grew transparent, his voice weakening. "Remember, at the crucial moment, you have to trust each other. Only complete trust will let you control the protective power." With those words, Shisui's apparition vanished completely.
The black claw came down at Su Ye and the others. Obito immediately activated Kamui and moved the three of them inside the spatial barrier. But Gen's soul fragment was incredibly fast; black mist slipped through the gaps in Kamui's space and entered the barrier. Su Ye used Samsara: Banshō Ten'in, forcibly drawing the mist into his Rinnegan. But the Void power within it immediately began eating away at his chakra pathways. Su Ye groaned, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
"Su Ye!" Sasuke and Naruto shouted together.
Su Ye shook his head, enduring the pain. "Don't worry about me. Keep fusing." He circulated his Rinnegan power, temporarily suppressing the Void power. Sasuke and Naruto exchanged a glance and poured out more chakra. The three-colored vortex expanded again, and every rune on the tablet lit up. A massive golden pillar of light shot from the tablet and into the sky.
Gen's soul fragment let out a shrill wail. The golden pillar enveloped the black mist, which began to dissipate. But just then, a violent tremor came from outside. A crack appeared in Obito's Kamui Dimension, and Gen's voice came through it. "It's no use. The seal has already weakened. My army will soon enter the Shinobi World."
A dark golden pillar of light shot through the crack and struck Gen's soul fragment. Its power surged instantly, and the black mist gathered again, forming a gigantic figure. "Now, I'll show you the true power of the Void Realm!"
Gen's soul fragment raised a hand, and countless black chains shot out of the ground, lashing toward Su Ye and the others. The Nine-Tails roared, forming a Tailed Beast Bomb that slammed into the chains. But the chains seemed alive; they dodged the attack and kept reaching for them.
A flash of understanding crossed Su Ye's eyes. "He's after our chakra. Quick, pour all of it into the vortex!"
The three of them did as he said. The three-colored vortex blazed with dazzling light, and the golden pillar shone even brighter. It struck Gen's soul fragment, and the black mist began to vanish rapidly. Gen's soul fragment let out an unwilling roar. "I won't lose! Next time we meet, I'll destroy you with my own hands!" With those words, the soul fragment disappeared completely.
The shaking of the ancestral grounds gradually stopped. The runes on the tablet slowly dimmed, and a golden scroll flew out of it, landing in Su Ye's hands. It contained the ultimate ninjutsu left behind by the Uchiha ancestor, Zhibo: Three-Color Rinne Void Seal.
"What is this...?" Su Ye unrolled the scroll, a glimmer of delight in his eyes.
Sasuke leaned in to read the words on the scroll. "This is a ninjutsu made specifically to fight Gen. We can only use it if the three of us completely fuse our chakra."
Naruto scratched his head and grinned. "Looks like we've got another trump card."
Obito deactivated Kamui, a long-missed smile appearing on his face. "With this technique, we'll definitely defeat Gen the next time we face him."
But just then, Tsunade's voice came through the Summoning Technique, urgent with worry. "Su Ye, Sasuke, Naruto. We have trouble! Spatial rifts have appeared along the borders of all Five Great Nations. Countless Demon Eater Lords and Gen's men are attacking the defensive lines. The Raikage and Killer B can barely hold on!"
The four of them paled. Su Ye put away the scroll, his expression grave. "Gen's already made his move. We need to go help at once."
When the four of them arrived at the border of the Land of Fire, the scene before them was alarming. Countless Demon Eater Lords and Void Soldiers clad in dark golden armor were savagely attacking the allied forces' defensive line. The Raikage's Lightning Release Armor was already cracked, and the Void power had eaten into Gyuki's tails, leaving them numb.
"Raikage! Killer B!" Naruto roared. The Nine-Tails Chakra surged, and an orange Tailed Beast Bomb formed before blasting toward the Void Soldiers.
Su Ye circulated his Rinne Sharingan, forming a massive spatial vortex from pale purple chakra that sucked in a large number of Demon Eater Lords. Sasuke formed a golden flaming sword and cut down the Void Soldiers approaching the defensive line one by one. Obito activated Kamui, transporting the wounded shinobi to safety.
Gen appeared above the spatial rift. Looking at the four of them, he curled his lips in a mocking smile. "Uchiha brats, heir to the Rinnegan, and a Tailed Beast vessel. You escaped by sheer luck last time. You won't be so lucky today."
Gen raised a hand. Dark golden chakra formed a gigantic demonic sword, which he swung at the four of them. Su Ye, Sasuke, and Naruto attacked at the same time. Samsara: Chibaku Tensei, Blaze Release: Kagutsuchi, and Nine-Tails: Tailed Beast Bomb intertwined to form a powerful barrier.
The demonic sword crashed into the barrier with a BOOM. The enormous shock wave sent all four of them flying, blood spurting from their mouths. Gen seized the opportunity to attack, sending countless blades of dark golden chakra through the air toward the allied shinobi.
"Look out!" Su Ye's pupils contracted. He was about to use his Rinnegan power when he felt the Void power inside him stir again. The Void power he had absorbed last time was still eating away at his chakra pathways.
Sasuke and Naruto immediately stepped in front of Su Ye. Sasuke's golden flames formed a shield, while Naruto's Tailed Beast Chakra gathered into a gigantic fist that blocked the spatial blades. But Gen's attacks kept coming, and the two of them soon struggled to hold on.
Seeing this, Obito roared. He activated Kamui, merging his body with space as he charged at Gen. "Su Ye, hurry! Use Three-Color Rinne Void Seal! I'll hold him off!"
"Obito!" Su Ye cried out. He knew that what Obito was doing was tantamount to throwing his life away.
Looking at Obito charging toward him, Gen showed a trace of disdain. "Fool." He raised a hand, and a stream of black mist shot out, hitting Obito. Void power immediately began to consume his body, and the Kamui Dimension started to collapse.
"Now!" Obito's voice came out weakly.
Su Ye gritted his teeth, enduring the pain in his chakra pathways. He looked at Sasuke and Naruto, and the three of them nodded together. Pale purple, golden, and orange-yellow chakra fused again, forming an enormous three-colored rune above them.
"Three-Color Rinne Void Seal!" all three shouted.
The rune became a massive pillar of light and shot toward Gen. His expression changed, and he formed a shield of dark golden chakra. But the pillar's power far exceeded his expectations. It pierced straight through the shield and struck him. Gen let out a shrill wail as his body began to turn transparent. "I won't surrender! Next time, I'll bring the full power of the Void Realm and crush the Shinobi World!" With those words, Gen's body disappeared completely.
The spatial rifts began to close. The Demon Eater Lords and Void Soldiers lost their source of power and fell to the ground one after another. The allied shinobi cheered, but the four of them felt no joy. Obito's body turned transparent, and the Kamui Dimension collapsed completely. "I'm glad I could do one last thing for the Shinobi World."
Su Ye immediately circulated his Rinnegan power, trying to repair Obito's body. But the Void power had eaten away at him too badly, and even Su Ye's Rinnegan power was useless.
