Tsunade's fingertips gathered pure chakra as she carefully repaired the meridians eroded by the power of the void. Fine beads of sweat dotted her forehead. "The power of the void inside you has become entangled with your meridians. Forcibly removing it will only cause greater damage. From now on, you must slowly suppress it with the power of the Rinnegan. You absolutely must not force another chakra fusion."
Su Ye nodded and raised a hand to cover his left eye. Inside the Rinne Sharingan, pale purple light intertwined with a wisp of black mist, and every rotation brought a faint sting. Outside the tent, the sound of orderly footsteps approached. Naruto rushed in, still carrying the lingering warmth of the Nine-Tails Chakra, with a grim-faced Sasuke following behind him. "Su Ye, are you all right? The resonance between our three types of chakra failed again on the training ground."
Sasuke placed a scroll glowing with golden light on the table. It was the diagram for the "Three-Color Rinne Void Seal," left behind by the Uchiha ancestor Zhibo. "Without your power of the Rinnegan leading us, Naruto's and my chakra can't form a stable resonance. And I can't shake the feeling that the diagram hides an even deeper secret. We're just missing a crucial clue."
Su Ye reached out and touched the scroll. The Rinne Sharingan suddenly lit up. Pale purple light pierced through the scroll's surface, and countless tiny symbols emerged from the diagram, assembling in midair into a line of ancient text: "Let blood be the guide, and unity of heart the bridge. When three colors become one, the true form shall be revealed." His pupils narrowed. "The key is 'unity of heart.' As soon as he finished speaking, Sage Fukasaku leapt in through the window, smoke curling from his pipe. "I might have a solution. Mount Myoboku's 'Trial of the Mind' lets people face the most realistic trials in an illusion. It may help you break down your defenses. But the trial is dangerous. One wrong step, and you could be trapped in the illusion forever, never to wake again."
The three exchanged glances, resolve flashing in all their eyes. Naruto thumped his chest, Nine-Tails Chakra flowing through his palm. "What's a little danger when the ninja world is at stake!" Sasuke clenched his fist, the golden Power of the Fire Seed dancing at his fingertips. "As long as I can master the Sealing Jutsu, I'll make it through, even if it's an illusion."
The next morning, the three followed Sage Fukasaku to Mount Myoboku. The trial site lay deep within the mountain, at the "Mind Pool." A faint blue glow rippled across its surface, reflecting their images. Sage Fukasaku formed Hand Seals, and ripples spread across the water. "Step into the pool, and the illusion will take shape based on the deepest desires of your hearts. Remember, no matter what you see, don't lose yourselves."
Su Ye stepped into the pool first. Blue light enveloped him, and the scene before his eyes abruptly changed. He stood amid ruins, surrounded by the devastation left after the ninja world had been swallowed by the Void Realm. Gen appeared in the distance, holding the bodies of Naruto and Sasuke, a mocking smile on his face. "Do you see? This is what your so-called protection amounts to. Just submit to me, and I'll give you the chance to rebuild the world."
Su Ye clenched his fist, and the Rinne Sharingan blazed to life. "I'll never submit to you!" He channeled the power of the Rinnegan, forming pale purple chakra into a sword and slashing at Gen. But Gen's figure turned into black mist and merged with the surrounding ruins. Su Ye's body trembled slightly. He knew it was an illusion, but the scene before him felt all too real. Just then, Shisui's voice rang out in his mind. "Remember, protecting others isn't about blaming yourself. It's about carrying the hopes of the dead and continuing forward." Su Ye snapped back to his senses. The power of the Rinnegan erupted, and pale purple light dispelled the illusion around him.
When he opened his eyes, he was lying beside the Mind Pool. Sage Fukasaku handed him a bowl of medicinal liquid. "Not bad. You made it through the illusion in just half an hour. Naruto, you're next." Naruto took a deep breath and jumped into the pool. Blue light flashed, and he appeared in the Hokage's office in Konoha.
Tsunade, Kakashi, and Jiraiya sat behind the desk, disappointment on their faces. Tsunade spoke. "Naruto, you've disappointed us. Your recklessness cost the Allied Forces dearly. As of today, you're no longer a ninja." Naruto tried to explain, but it was as though his throat were blocked. Not a word came out.
Just then, Gen appeared outside the office. He raised a hand, and a black pillar of light shot toward Konoha. Naruto roared and tried to gather a Tailed Beast Bomb, only to find that the Nine-Tails Chakra inside him had vanished. He watched the villagers fall beneath the black pillar of light, despair filling his eyes. "No!"
"Naruto, don't give up!" the Nine-Tails' voice echoed in his mind. "Power isn't the only way to protect people. Your perseverance and your smile are the greatest strengths of all." Naruto snapped back to his senses, golden chakra erupting around him. The illusion shattered, and he leapt from the pool, determination shining in his eyes.
Finally, Sasuke stepped into the pool. Blue light flashed, and he returned to the night of the Uchiha Clan's massacre. His clan members lay in pools of blood, and Itachi stood nearby. Sasuke roared, his golden Power of the Fire Seed forming into a sword as he slashed at Itachi. "Why! Why did you massacre the clan?!"
Itachi didn't dodge. He let the blade pierce his body, then raised a hand to stroke Sasuke's head, complex emotions in his eyes. "Sasuke, this is the Uchiha's fate. To break free of it, you must accept the past." As he spoke, Itachi's figure turned into a golden light and merged into Sasuke.
The scene shifted. Sasuke stood before the stone monument in the Uchiha ancestral grounds. Gen appeared behind it. "Sasuke, submit to me, and I'll help you revive the Uchiha Clan." Sasuke clenched his fist, the golden Power of the Fire Seed dancing at his fingertips. "I don't need them revived. I'll protect the Uchiha's honor!" He channeled the power of the Fire Seed, and golden light dispelled the illusion.
Once all three had passed through their illusions, three beams of colored light rose from the Mind Pool. Sage Fukasaku stroked his whiskers. "Excellent. You've all passed the trial. Now that you've done that, you should be able to fuse your chakra successfully." The three stood by the pool. Su Ye's power of the Rinnegan, Sasuke's Power of the Fire Seed, and Naruto's Tailed Beast power gathered overhead like three pillars of colored light.
This time, the three kinds of chakra didn't repel one another. Pale purple, gold, and orange light intertwined, forming a massive three-colored vortex above them. It spun faster and faster, warping the space around it. Delight flashed across Sage Fukasaku's eyes. "It worked! This is the true form of the Three-Color Rinne Void Seal!"
But just then, Mount Myoboku began to shake violently. A black pillar of light shot down from the sky, and Gen appeared within it. "I didn't expect you to master the Sealing Jutsu. But the game ends here." He raised a hand, and countless black chains shot out from the pillar, lashing toward the three.
Su Ye and the others immediately activated the Sealing Jutsu. The three-colored vortex erupted in dazzling light, and a massive pillar of light blasted toward Gen. His expression changed sharply as dark golden chakra formed a shield. The pillar of light collided with it with a thunderous BOOM! The shockwave sent all three flying, blood spraying from their mouths.
Gen sneered and raised a massive demonic sword, slashing toward them. "You escaped by sheer luck last time. This time, you're all going to die!" At the last moment, the Tailed Beasts suddenly appeared. Kurama, Matatabi, Isobu... all nine Tailed Beasts launched Tailed Beast Bombs at the demonic sword.
BOOM! The demonic sword shattered, and the force of the Tailed Beast Bombs sent Gen reeling. He looked at the Tailed Beasts, surprise flashing in his eyes. "I didn't expect you to ally yourselves with the Tailed Beasts. But it's not enough!" He channeled the power of the void, and black mist enveloped Mount Myoboku. Countless Demon Eater Lords surged out of the mist and charged at the three.
"Everyone, work together!" Su Ye shouted. He channeled the power of the Rinnegan, forming pale purple chakra into a massive space-time vortex that sucked in hordes of Demon Eater Lords. Sasuke formed a golden flame sword and cut down every Demon Eater Lord that came near. Naruto entered Nine-Tails Mode, forming his golden Tailed Beast Chakra into a gigantic fist that repeatedly pounded the Demon Eater Lords.
The Tailed Beasts attacked as well. Kurama's Tailed Beast Bombs, the Eight-Tails' ink, Shukaku's sandstorm... countless attacks wove together into a vast barrage, cutting down the Demon Eater Lords in droves. Sage Fukasaku led Mount Myoboku's Toad Army in Senjutsu attacks, purifying the surrounding power of the void.
Seeing this, Gen roared. He channeled all his power of the void, and the black mist coalesced into a gigantic claw that swung down at the three. "I won't surrender!" Su Ye and the others immediately activated the Sealing Jutsu. The three-colored pillar of light formed again and blasted toward the claw. The claw and the pillar collided, and all of Mount Myoboku shook violently.
"Hold on!" Su Ye roared, pouring out even more power of the Rinnegan. Sasuke and Naruto put all their strength into it as well. The three-colored pillar of light grew stronger and stronger, gradually overpowering the claw. Gen's body began to turn transparent, and a flicker of unwillingness crossed his eyes. "This isn't the end for me! The armies of the Void Realm will soon trample the ninja world!" As his words fell, Gen's figure vanished completely.
The black mist gradually dispersed. Without a source of power, the Demon Eater Lords collapsed to the ground. The three slumped down, their chakra utterly depleted. The Tailed Beasts gathered around them, and Kurama's voice rang out in their minds. "Not bad, brats. I'll count this one as your win."
Sage Fukasaku stepped forward, a relieved smile on his face. "Congratulations. You've not only mastered the Sealing Jutsu, but also broken down your defenses. The leaders of the Five Great Nations also held an emergency meeting. The Raikage slapped the table, Lightning Release chakra crackling around him. "Kumogakure will send all our elite forces to support your efforts." Iron Sand swirled in Gaara's palm. "Sunagakure will give its full support as well. As long as we can protect the ninja world, we're willing to give our lives for it."
Tsunade looked around at everyone, her eyes filled with relief. "As of today, the Allied Forces of the Five Great Nations are officially formed. Su Ye, Sasuke, and Naruto, the three of you will serve as their commanders and lead us against the Void Realm." The three stood together, determination shining in their eyes. "We won't let everyone down!"
Meanwhile, in the Void Realm, Gen's true body emerged from the black mist. The dark golden armor on his body gleamed with a chilling light. He looked at the Uchiha mask in his hand, a cold killing intent flashing in his eyes. "Su Ye, Sasuke, Naruto. The next time we meet, I'll make you—and the entire ninja world—pay for what you've done!" He raised a hand, and countless Void Soldiers surged from the black mist, lining up in formation. The final battle, one that would determine the fate of the ninja world, was about to begin.
