Background / History
Bone Demons first appear as the challenge-dungeon exotic beasts of the Bone Burial Ground. They emerge from massive kilns and approach the graveyard’s tombstones, where they consume valuable Sorrowful Bone Tears. Their bodies are exposed skeletons animated by clusters of ghostly green soulfire. 51
Chen Ming initially defeats several level 8 and 9 Bone Demons by shattering their skeletons, but receives no kill notification. He discovers that their Necrotic Rebirth allows them to reconstruct their bodies from their remains. Their resurrection increases their physical combat power while reducing the mental energy contained in their Netherfire. 52 53
Because Chen Ming’s attacks inflict mental damage even against scattered remains, he can exhaust the energy sustaining their rebirths. The Bone Demons consequently become reliable sources of Beast Cores and Spirit Rune Stones during the Bone Burial Ground battle. 53 56
After obtaining the Nether Eye, Chen Ming discovers that its internal Pitch-Black Tower can summon Bone Demons. He later learns that the Bone Tower can absorb the remains of creatures and convert them into additional Bone Demons, building an army under his command. 64 189
The Bone Tower’s conversion ability applies to the remains of both Class Changers and exotic beasts. Chen Ming begins treating the conversion of personally defeated creatures as a regular post-battle practice, particularly after discovering that his personal kills can bypass the normal summoning-level restriction. 189 190 242
During the Phantom Sea beast tide, Chen Ming further develops the army’s role as a self-replenishing force: Bone Demons carry slain sea beasts back to the Bone Tower Space, where their remains can later be converted into replacements or new members of the legion. 254
Appearance
Bone Demons are skeletal undead animated by green spirit fire or Netherfire.
- Exposed, ghastly white bones form their bodies. 51
- A cluster of ghostly green soulfire burns within their frames. 51
- Their skeletal shapes can reflect different creatures, including tiger-like, canine-like, wolf, flood dragon, and Sea God forms. 52 53 190 242 269
- Resurrected individuals may become wrapped in Netherfire across their entire bodies. 53
- Their size varies greatly; a summoned level 10 Bone Demon stands approximately five to six meters tall. 97
- Exceptional transformed summons can be colossal; the Wolf King Bone Demon is described as a roughly hundred-meter-tall skeleton. 196
Abilities & Skills
Necrotic Rebirth
Bone Demons can regenerate their shattered skeletons through the spirit fire or Netherfire sustaining them.
- Destruction of the physical skeleton alone does not necessarily kill them. 52 53
- After reviving, their speed, defense, and attack power increase. 53
- Each rebirth weakens the mental-energy fluctuations of the Netherfire sustaining them. 53
- Mental damage can still be inflicted upon their remains, enabling their resurrection energy to be depleted. 53 56
- Bone Demons killed by powerful enemies may fail to revive if the force destroying them also eliminates the energy supporting their Netherfire. 98
Netherfire Animation
Spirit fire is the basis of a Bone Demon’s undead existence.
- Bone Demons are described as netherworld undead revived after receiving Spirit Fire. 51 97
- The Pitch-Black Tower ordinarily suppresses a Bone Demon’s Netherfire within the Bone Tower Space, releasing its fire of life when the unit is summoned. 190
- Netherfire can suppress mental power, including the Sea God’s Eternal Mental Power. 269
- Ordinary Bone Demons gradually lose independent consciousness after transformation. 269
Bone Tower Summoning and Conversion
The Pitch-Black Bone Tower within Chen Ming’s Nether Eye can summon and create Bone Demons.
- Chen Ming can summon standard Bone Demons ranging from level 1 to level 10. 64 97
- Releasing the Tower’s restrictions allows a massive Bone Demon army to pour through Nether Gates. 97
- The remains of living creatures, including Class Changers and exotic beasts, can be absorbed and converted into Bone Demons. 189
- Ordinary summoned Bone Demons scale with Chen Ming’s level; creatures personally killed by him can be summoned without that level restriction. 190
- The controlled army had reached roughly twenty million members by Chen Ming’s level 24. 190
- Bone Demon kills ordinarily do not grant Chen Ming experience, as the Bone Tower rather than Chen Ming’s own mental power functions as the source of their summoning. 97 196
- Chen Ming can attach his mental power to an individual Bone Demon for precise summoner-style control, allowing its kills to grant him experience at the cost of mental power. 196
- The level 51 Wolf King Bone Demon is powerful enough to lead Chen Ming’s team through dungeon challenges and farm experience on his behalf. 196
Retained Abilities and Consciousness
Exceptional Bone Demons may preserve traits beyond basic undead combat.
- Ordinary transformed Bone Demons lose the abilities they possessed in life, including the level 51 Wolf King Bone Demon, which relies on its level and basic physical combat power instead. 190 195
- The Golden Scale Flood Dragon Bone Demon retains Dragon Breath, Sea-Overturning Dragon Tail, and Space-Rending Golden Scale Claw, apparently due to its Eternal Attribute. 242
- The Sea God Bone Demon retains self-awareness for limited periods and can alternate between awakened and dormant states. 269
- Chen Ming can use the Bone Tower to force a god-tier Bone Demon into awakening or dormancy, and can briefly impose direct control through Eternal Mental Power. 270
- Fusion with mental bodies through the Soul Banner can create conscious Bone Demons capable of using abilities possessed in life. 360
- A Bone Demon without a complete Spirit Body has neither consciousness nor abilities and can only perform basic combat. 380
- Complete Spirit Bodies may allow a Bone Demon to retain genuine self-awareness and fully access abilities from its former life. 360 380

Story Role / Major Arcs
Bone Burial Ground
Bone Demons serve as the primary hostile exotic beasts in the Bone Burial Ground’s Demon Cave challenge. Their ability to resurrect turns the battle into a test of mental-energy depletion rather than simple physical destruction. 51 53
Chen Ming exploits their weakness to persistent mental damage, repeatedly shattering them on revival and harvesting their guaranteed Spirit Rune Stone drops. 56
Bone Tower Army
After clearing the dungeon, Chen Ming gains access to the Pitch-Black Tower’s Bone Demon summoning function. He eventually deploys a vast Bone Demon army through Nether Gates against Abyssal beasts. 64 97
The army’s numbers and ability to revive let it overwhelm stronger opponents through attrition and sheer volume. It also serves as an efficient resource-harvesting force, returning collected materials and enemy corpses to Chen Ming. 98 104 199
Chen Ming later discovers that, by establishing a mental link with a Bone Demon, he can make its kills count toward his own experience. He uses the Wolf King Bone Demon to farm dungeons while he personally explores the Abyss. 196
Special Transformations
Chen Ming expands the army by converting powerful enemies he personally kills, including the Pale Moon Wolf King and Golden Scale Flood Dragon. The latter establishes that Eternal Attribute creatures can retain their abilities after becoming Bone Demons. 190 242
During the Phantom Sea beast tide, the Bone Demon army recovers and expands its numbers by collecting the corpses of slain sea beasts for subsequent conversion rituals. 254
God Bone Demon and Soul Banner Experiments
The Bone Tower converts Sea God Remnants into a god-tier Sea God Bone Demon, demonstrating that even divine remains can be refined and controlled. 269
Although Chen Ming cannot ordinarily control the Sea God Bone Demon across its level gap, the Bone Tower grants him the ability to force its awakening or dormancy and briefly impose direct control with Eternal Mental Power. 270
Later, Chen Ming discovers that the Soul Banner can provide Bone Demons with mental bodies, enabling consciousness and the use of former-life abilities. 360
Trivia
- Bone Demons in the Bone Burial Ground are physically weaker than normal exotic beasts of comparable level, despite their resurrection ability. 52
- Chen Ming’s mental-damage basic attacks make him a direct counter to their Necrotic Rebirth. 53
- The first Bone Demon Chen Ming summons from the Pitch-Black Tower is level 1 and immediately stands beside him without hostility. 64
- Chen Ming cannot inspect the true nature or full information of the Pitch-Black Bone Tower even with Eternal Mental Power. 196 256
