Masaki Uchiha unleashed his chakra. Blue chakra erupted from his body like flames.
The wooden floor beneath his feet had already shattered from the chakra's release.
Cracks began to spread across the shrine's roof and walls, and dust drifted down.
The chakra was so oppressive that everyone struggled to breathe.
"Make the first move. If I go first, I'll finish you in one move!" Masaki Uchiha said, acting as if he were giving Fugaku Uchiha three free strikes.
"Arrogant!!!" Fugaku Uchiha roared.
Yellow chakra radiated from his body, quickly taking the shape of ribs and an arm.
[Susanoo!]
The people inside the shrine cried out in shock at the sight.
"Are you sure that thing can stop my [Chidori]?" Masaki Uchiha asked, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly. His eyes opened and closed, revealing the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
Fugaku Uchiha, however, said confidently, "Why don't you find out?"
"Try it and die!"
Hearing Masaki's words, Fugaku Uchiha tensed as if facing a deadly threat and hurriedly activated the Mangekyo Dojutsu in his right eye, [Amenotachitatsu]. When deliberately activated, this technique let him see images of whatever he wanted to witness from up to three months in the future.
In other words, the amount of time he could see into the future depended on how much ocular power he poured into it.
As soon as he finished using the technique, blood trickled from the corner of Fugaku Uchiha's eye.
I saw it! Three seconds from now, Masaki Uchiha will use Chidori, and Susanoo will block it! Fugaku Uchiha was overjoyed.
Seeing Fugaku Uchiha looking so confident, Masaki Uchiha couldn't help but smile. He extended his right hand, and lightning began to gather around it. A cacophony rang through the shrine, making it sound as if a thousand birds were chirping.

His feet shifted slightly, and the ground instantly cracked in a web-like pattern.
In an instant, Masaki Uchiha vanished from the field.
"What?!" Fugaku Uchiha was shocked. Even with the Mangekyō Sharingan, he couldn't see how Masaki Uchiha had disappeared.
"I'm on your right."
Hearing Masaki Uchiha's voice beside him, Fugaku Uchiha broke out in a cold sweat. Could that be a new Space-Time Ninjutsu he created? His speed is practically on par with the Fourth Hokage's.
Before he could think further, the right hand wielding [Chidori] slammed into the Susanoo covering Fugaku Uchiha's shoulder.
"Bang!"
Cracks spread across the yellow ribs, which creaked under the strain.
"It blocked it." A smile appeared on Fugaku Uchiha's face.
"Oh? You don't actually think it blocked me, do you?" Masaki Uchiha asked. He applied a little more force with his right hand.
[Chidori] pierced through Susanoo as easily as hot oil cutting through tofu, then struck Fugaku Uchiha in the face. He was sent flying and slammed against the wall.
Masaki Uchiha had still held back. Otherwise, he wouldn't have just been knocked away; his head would have been blown apart, killing him on the spot!
After crossing over, Masaki Uchiha had invented a whole series of Lightning Release techniques, including Lightning Release: Chidori, Lightning Style: Kirin, and Lightning Chakra Mode. He had even invented Rasengan before the Fourth Hokage.
After all, as a time traveler who'd arrived so early, he'd have had to invent a few techniques.
Only now did Fugaku Uchiha, hanging on the wall, come to his senses. He immediately roared, "It's not over!" Then he raised his head and stared at Masaki Uchiha with his left eye, blood running from its corner.
[Amaterasu]
In an instant, black flames covered Masaki Uchiha's entire body. Yet he acted as if nothing had happened, looking at Fugaku Uchiha with interest as he asked, "One eye has Amaterasu. What's the technique in your other eye? Show me."
Fugaku Uchiha's forehead veins bulged. "Damn you! Don't underestimate me!" He activated [Amenotachitatsu] again, foreseeing five seconds, then ten seconds into the future. No matter what he did, he couldn't hurt Masaki Uchiha. Every time, Masaki Uchiha defeated him with a single move.
Has this bastard really become this strong?! Fugaku Uchiha roared in frustration.
Seeing the blood at the corner of Fugaku Uchiha's right eye, Masaki Uchiha understood. The right eye's technique was probably what people on Blue Star had speculated: a vision of the future, not an offensive ability.
"Looks like you're out of options. I don't want to kill you. Step down." As he spoke, he crouched and pressed his right hand against the ground.
[Fire Sealing Method]
A web of tadpole-like markings instantly spread across the ground within a two-meter radius.
The seal trapped the Amaterasu flames covering Masaki Uchiha's body. As the flames were absorbed, his figure emerged.
He looked completely unharmed. After all, Masaki Uchiha had known how to deal with Amaterasu for a long time: a Chakra Cloak could defend against it.
"You bastard! If you've got the guts, kill me! I'll never submit to you!" Fugaku Uchiha continued shouting from the wall. "Your ideas are too extreme! The Uchiha Clan fought hard to win this peace. You can't destroy it!"
As the Third Great Ninja War drew to a close, Fugaku Uchiha and Masaki Uchiha had discussed their respective bids for the Fourth Hokage's position. Masaki Uchiha believed that the Land of Fire should have only one leader instead of the current system of one nation and one village. When the time was right, even the entire Ninja World should have only one leader. Fugaku Uchiha had been shocked by how outrageous the idea was.
It was practically the same ideology as Uchiha Madara's.
If outsiders learned that the Uchiha Clan's leader held such views, the entire Ninja World, the Land of Fire, and Konoha would have no place for the Uchiha. The Uchiha Clan's only fate would be extinction.
Masaki didn't respond to Fugaku Uchiha's taunts. He simply opened his eyes again. The pattern in them was no longer the Three-Tomoe Sharingan; a new design had appeared, shaped like a triangular pinwheel.
"Whoa!"
Seeing the Mangekyō Sharingan in Masaki Uchiha's eyes, the clan members excitedly began talking among themselves.
"Our Uchiha now have two Mangekyō Sharingan! The next Hokage has to be one of us!"
"That's right! Lord Masaki has the strength and the reputation—he's no less renowned than the Three Legendary Sannin. The next Hokage Position must belong to him!"
"Hmph! Let's see how Sarutobi Hiruzen can stop the Uchiha from becoming Hokage now!"
"The clan leader's contest is over! Clan Leader Masaki!"
"Clan Leader Masaki!"
The Uchiha Clan members in the shrine began to cheer.
Fugaku had been utterly defeated. Who else could take the clan leader's position besides Masaki Uchiha?
Uchiha Setsuna spoke up then as well. "Masaki, from today on, you're the leader of the Uchiha Clan!"
Masaki Uchiha glanced at Uchiha Setsuna, then addressed the clan members. "From today on, I will lead the Uchiha to greatness once more!"
