Ma Xiaotao was an Inner Court student of Shrek Academy and the direct disciple of Dean Yan Shaozhe. Her Evil Fire Phoenix martial soul inflicted a long-term backlash that tortured her for more than a decade. The unstable flames made her notorious in the Inner Court as the “Mother Tyrannosaurus.” 2 3 5

Long Xiaoyao identified Ma Xiaotao’s Evil Fire as the force needed to stabilize Long Yaochen’s flawed, near-god-tier martial soul. He forced Shrek to produce her, then proposed a marriage contract: Ma Xiaotao’s evil fire would mend Long Yaochen’s Soul Core, while his presence would suppress her backlash. 1 2 3

After witnessing Long Yaochen absorb her uncontrolled Evil Fire, Ma Xiaotao experienced unprecedented relief. She accepted the marriage arrangement, judging it necessary for both her own survival and Shrek’s interests. 3 4

Ma Xiaotao is decisive, proud, fiery, and intensely protective of those she considers her own. She chose the marriage contract without hesitation once she understood its necessity, and she repeatedly places herself between Long Yaochen and danger. 4 5

Her temper is notorious: she threatens to burn an entire classroom when students stare at her, confronts Long Yaochen over perceived neglect, and openly challenges him when jealous or dissatisfied. 19 20 82 83 Despite this aggression, she is thoughtful and caring, paying for the Spirit-Devouring Carving Knife herself and worrying openly about Long Yaochen’s safety. 20 42
