Mu En is Shrek Academy’s Sea God Pavilion Master and a Limit Douluo once famed alongside Long Xiaoyao. Their relationship is defined by an old, unresolved history, mutual understanding, and rivalry; despite this, Mu En recognizes that Long Xiaoyao is not indiscriminately bloodthirsty. 2 3

By the time Long Xiaoyao arrives at Sea God Island, Mu En is physically frail, white-haired, hunched, and dependent on the Golden Tree’s power. He confronts Long Xiaoyao to prevent him from taking Ma Xiaotao, but his condition worsens after only a brief clash of domains. 2

After learning that Ma Xiaotao’s Evil Fire can stabilize Long Yaochen’s defective God-tier Martial Soul, Mu En accepts the marriage arrangement and persuades Long Xiaoyao to leave Long Yaochen at Shrek as an exchange student. He sees the boy’s potential as an opportunity to restore Shrek’s declining state. 3 4 10

Mu En later receives a Nine-Grade Purple Ganoderma from Long Yaochen.
