Background

Jiang He is the son of Jiang Shan and He Yi, both Soul Kings and former teachers at Heaven Dou Royal Academy. They died protecting students from a powerful soul beast during an expedition in Sunset Forest. The academy gave Jiang He a pension, allowed him to remain in the staff residential area, and promised him enrollment if he possessed Innate Soul Power. 1

At age three, Jiang He regained memories of a past life and awakened a cultivation auxiliary system. Using its analysis and deduction functions, he spent years creating and refining cultivation methods, physical-training plans, and nutritional plans to improve his Martial Soul awakening prospects. 1

Dissatisfied with the initially low chance of awakening the Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear, Jiang He secretly entered Sunset Forest and stole four Immortal Herbs from Dugu Bo’s Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. He harvested Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum, Narcissus Jade Muscle Bone, and Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid, while leaving two more dangerous herbs untouched. 3

The herbs strengthened his mind, physique, soul power, and Martial Soul foundation. They also caused extreme physical growth, turning the five-year-old into a 1.9-meter-tall child with an adult-like build. 4 6

After Dugu Bo discovered the theft, Jiang He explained that he sought strength to live with dignity rather than die helplessly. His intelligence, resolve, and eventual solution to the Jade Phosphor Snake poison earned Dugu Bo’s approval; Jiang He formally became Dugu Bo’s disciple. 8 11
