Danzo's Shamelessness!

Konoha, Root Headquarters

Danzo had been waiting for news. An hour after Torune set out, he realized the mission might have failed. Assassination battles between ninja usually didn't last long.

"Lord Danzo, we've already sent people to investigate. There was blood near Tsunade's house, but we couldn't find Torune's body. There weren't many signs of a struggle, either. Torune either escaped or was killed instantly," a blond-haired ninja reported.

"I believe Torune wouldn't run away! Did Tsunade make a move? No, Tsunade's fighting style would have caused extensive damage to the scene. There wouldn't be so few traces. So who was it...?" Danzo was baffled. He had suspected Obito Uchiha, but had to dismiss the idea. Even a prodigy like Obito couldn't have killed Torune without leaving a trace. Could it have been someone from the Uchiha Clan?

He could never have imagined that Obito had become absurdly overpowered. Forget Torune—even Danzo himself wouldn't be a match for Obito if he went all out.

The flickering candlelight made Danzo's face look even more sinister!

"Fu, take a team to the scene. Use the pretext that Obito Uchiha is suspected of secretly assassinating Torune. Bring him back for questioning. If he dares to resist, kill him on the spot!"

"Yes! What if Tsunade gets in our way?" Yamanaka Fu asked quietly.

"Take two teams. If she interferes, bring her back as well!" Danzo said darkly.

"Yes!"

Yamanaka Fu led two teams of elite Root ninja and set off at once, heading straight for Tsunade's house!

After Tsunade left, Obito opened his eyes and started planning how to get back at that old bastard Danzo. He'd been minding his own business, and Danzo still wanted to kill him. That was just too much!

"Hm?" Obito heard footsteps outside. The newcomers weren't even trying to hide their presence; they barged openly into the courtyard!

"Obito Uchiha! You're suspected of secretly assassinating a Root member. Come with us for questioning!" Yamanaka Fu shouted through his mask.

Obito was so furious he nearly passed out. Now he knew what shamelessness really looked like! They could turn black into white and slap any accusation on him they pleased!

Root had been the ones who tried to assassinate him, and now he was the criminal!

The blazing anger made Obito lose control. Tsunade wasn't home, so if they were asking for death, he couldn't be blamed for showing them no mercy!

Obito hurried to Shizune's room. Little Shizune was still fast asleep, so he silently sucked her into the Kamui Dimension.

"Attack!" Yamanaka Fu signaled. The Root ninja behind him drew their weapons and charged into the house.

Obito wielded Ryujin Jakka, its cold blade flashing again and again inside the house! With his Hollowfication ability, Obito was nearly invincible in close combat!

Half a quarter of an hour later

"Kamui!" Space twisted, snapping Yamanaka Fu's neck! Terror and confusion filled his face as he died. What kind of monster was this?!

When Tsunade returned from the Third Hokage's place, she saw the wreckage of the house and felt her heart leap into her throat. She rushed inside, and the blood and severed limbs covering the floor nearly made her collapse!

But worry for them forced her to push through her fear and weakness and get back to her feet! She stumbled toward Obito's room. No one was there! All her strength drained away in an instant!

Helplessness and grief tore at her heart, and she could no longer hold back her tears.

"Shizune!" Tsunade raced to Shizune's room. The moment she opened the door, it was as if she'd gone from hell to heaven.

Obito, who was "gravely injured," was comforting a trembling Shizune.

After the battle ended, Obito had, with practiced ease, given himself a few fresh wounds. Then he let Shizune out of the Kamui Dimension and woke her up.

Tsunade rushed forward and pulled them both tightly into her arms.

Root's headquarters was a secret base to ordinary ninja, but it wasn't hard for the Uchiha Clan to find out where it was. Tsunade had been staying home to look after Obito these past few days, even though his wounds had healed long ago.

That delayed Obito's revenge by a few days! After two failed attempts in a row, Danzo had backed off and made no further moves.

Obito had been enjoying a happy, carefree life these past few days. He could clearly feel that Tsunade was treating him differently, and it was a good start. There was still plenty of time, too; he wouldn't grow up for several more years!

A week passed in the blink of an eye. Tsunade was still cooped up at home, either playing cards or drinking every day, looking utterly dispirited. She had no intention of going out and had become a complete shut-in.

"Big Sis Tsunade, I'm going out to take care of something. I won't be back tonight," Obito said to Tsunade, who was lying on the sofa with her eyes closed.

"You won't be back? What if you're in danger?" Tsunade asked worriedly. She hadn't gone out these past few days because she was afraid Danzo would try another assassination.

"Don't worry. I'm strong. If I'm in danger, I'll run back to you," Obito said confidently.

"All right, then. Be careful. Take this with you." Tsunade thought it over and agreed. Obito couldn't stay indoors forever, but she still gave him a small Katsuyu. If he ran into danger, he could contact her right away, and Katsuyu could also help heal him.

Obito took the slug and returned to his own home, where he changed into black clothes.

"Cheping, get in touch with Clan Head Fugaku. I have something to discuss with him. We'll meet at his house in half an hour."

"Yes," Cheping replied.

Half an hour later

"Clan Head Fugaku, long time no see." They met in the same quiet room. A year had passed, and Fugaku looked more mature.

"You've grown quite a bit," Fugaku said without expression.

"I'll get straight to the point. A week ago, Danzo sent people to assassinate me. My information must have been leaked by a spy he planted in the Uchiha Clan. Please look into everyone who's had access to it, Clan Head Fugaku. Tonight, I'll retaliate against Danzo and use the chance to show off my strength!"

"I've already looked into it. A clan member who was guarding the gate the day you arrived leaked the information. He only knew you'd awakened an ordinary Sharingan. I've dealt with him," Fugaku said.

"Are you sure you want to do this? You'll be exposing yourself to Konoha's high command. It won't be easy to keep living as freely as you do now," Fugaku continued.

"Would Uchiha Madara hide his strength? I just don't want flies and mosquitoes pestering me. Just watch. After tonight, no one will want to assassinate me!" Obito said.

"As long as you're confident. What do you need me to do?"

"Gather the Uchiha Clan members and let them watch my performance. It's time to show them the strength of the Uchiha Clan!" Obito said with a smile.

"No problem. I'll gather the clan members right away." Fugaku was silent for a moment before answering. If Obito really went through with it, Fugaku would have much less pressure on him as clan head. As the strongest fighter in the Uchiha Clan, Obito would undoubtedly bear some of the clan's burden. Konoha's high command would also focus all its attention on this child, seeing him as a thorn in its side!
