Zhu Guang first meets Ling Qing through Tian Yong and Zhang Zhe while seeking Ghost-Repelling Pills for the coming Lao Mountain Daoist Time Fragment. A wealthy and well-connected Daoist, he trades resources and a peripheral dungeon slot for the pills, which he considers necessary protection against ghosts and monsters. 25 26

He enters Mount Lao alongside Ling Qing and Zhang Zhe. Though physically unsuited to the mountain journey and accustomed to comfort, Zhu Guang refuses to abandon the sect’s hardships, learns the Eight Divine Incantations with his companions, and undertakes menial work after entering the academy. 43 45 46

During later dungeon expeditions, he adapts the sinister White Bone Ghost Soul Method into a path compatible with his Purification and Bright Light Precious Pearl Scripture.
