Background / History

Tang San possessed the Tang Sect’s unique arts, notably the complete Mysterious Heaven Skill and Purple Demon Eye. The complete Mysterious Heaven Skill was known only by his direct disciple Jixiang at the time Qian Yu sought to obtain it. 4

After ascending to the God Realm, Tang San’s absence created an opening for Qian Yu and the remnants of Martial Soul Hall to act on the Douluo Continent. He later absorbed Immortal Spirit Power, began arranging divine inheritances for the Shrek Seven Devils, and accepted the Asura God King’s assistance in locating suitable god positions for them. 2 94 95

Personality

Tang San is highly concerned with strength, control, and the reliability of those around him. Upon learning of Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing’s deaths, he dismissed their carelessness as weakness despite believing they should have been nearly invincible on the contemporary Douluo Continent. 131

He is calculating in his alliances: he spared Ning Fengzhi partly because Ning Rongrong’s ascent and support could benefit him, and later considered secretly manipulating other gods to restore his fallen companions. 176 179

His conflict with Qian Yu increasingly drives him toward ruthlessness. Conflict with Qian Yu

Tang San confronts Qian Yu after sensing Angel God divine power near Shrek Academy. He recognizes that Qian Yu’s demigod body conceals a force powerful enough to threaten his life and resolves to kill him. 167

Qian Yu exploits Tang San’s anger, draws him away from the Angel Temple, and successfully transmits warnings to his allies. Qian Yu later wounds Tang San with the Heaven-Shocking Sword; unable to match Qian Yu’s speed within the Douluo Plane, Tang San loses the pursuit. 168 172

In retaliation, Tang San executes nearly a hundred people suspected of links to Martial Soul Hall, then returns to the God Realm to pursue greater strength when Qian Yu remains hidden. 173

Consolidating Power in the God Realm

As a God King successor, Tang San resurrects allies and grants them divine positions. He seeks further positions for his faction, including one for Tang Chen, while considering covert methods to revive Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, and Oscar. 179 209
