"You've all learned Tree Walking and Water Walking. No wonder you picked up Strength of a Hundred so easily."
After learning that Shin, Kushina, and Mikoto had all mastered Tree Walking and Water Walking, Tsunade was no longer surprised that they had learned Strength of a Hundred so quickly.
"In that case, there's nothing else I can teach you for now. We'll start taking missions tomorrow."
Tsunade was frustrated to realize that she didn't seem to have anything left to teach them.
"Tsunade, do you want to learn a ninjutsu?"
Shin asked Tsunade as a strangely spinning sphere of chakra appeared in his hand. It was the Rasengan.
Tsunade had taught them all Strength of a Hundred, so Shin didn't mind teaching her the Rasengan in return.
"You're going to teach me this hand-sign-free technique?"
Tsunade stared at Shin in surprise. Not many people in the Shinobi World were willing to teach their own techniques to others.
"Of course. You were willing to teach us your secret technique, Strength of a Hundred. What's wrong with me teaching you a ninjutsu? Besides, don't you want to learn it?"
"Since you're so sincere about teaching me, I suppose I can make an exception and learn it," Tsunade said haughtily.
Shin's mouth twitched. He hadn't expected Tsunade to be such a tsundere!
Shin explained how to train in the Rasengan and personally guided Tsunade, but even so, it couldn't be mastered in a short time.
It would take at least a few days to complete the Rasengan training.
"Your self-created Rasengan is pretty good, but I don't think it'll be much use to me," Tsunade told Shin. Although it was a powerful hand-sign-free technique, Tsunade's punches were no joke either.
Once she got close to an enemy, why not just punch them? Why use the Rasengan?
"Don't underestimate the Rasengan. It has great potential. On its own, it's a natureless ninjutsu, but you can add Chakra Nature Transformation to develop it into an even more powerful technique,"
Shin said.
In the original story, Naruto Uzumaki had relied on the Rasengan, endlessly developing new versions of it right up to the very end.
"Besides, the Rasengan isn't limited to close-range attacks. You can use it as a ranged attack, too."
Shin opened his hand. Chakra gathered in his palm and spun irregularly, forming a sphere.
Then Shin added more chakra. The Rasengan, which had been pale blue, gradually deepened to dark blue.
Shin tossed it. The Rasengan struck a rock thirty meters away and unleashed its power in an instant, pulverizing the stone and leaving a huge crater.
"You can throw the Rasengan?" Kushina stared at Shin in surprise.
"Yes, but you have to make it denser and more stable. That's the only way to throw it."
In the original story, Naruto Uzumaki couldn't throw the Rasengan, but after studying it, Shin had finally figured out how.
The Rasengan couldn't normally be thrown because once it left the user's control, its already irregularly spinning chakra would disperse without anyone stabilizing it.
As long as the Rasengan was made more stable, though, it could be thrown.
There was a drawback: the chakra cost. Making the Rasengan more stable required compressing it further, which naturally consumed more chakra.
A thrown Rasengan used as much chakra as three Rasengan held in the hand. In other words, it cost three times as much.
There were pros and cons, but Shin had plenty of chakra and didn't care about the extra cost. For him, it was all benefit.
After hearing Shin explain how to throw the Rasengan, Kushina and Tsunade's eyes lit up, while Mikoto shook her head in frustration.
Shin had taught Mikoto the Rasengan earlier, and she could already use it. But she really couldn't throw it.
She didn't have enough chakra. The Uchiha Clan had a decent amount, but nowhere near as much as the Senju and Uzumaki clans.
Mikoto had enough chakra to use the Rasengan twice at most. After all, the Rasengan was an A-rank ninjutsu. Its chakra cost was low compared to other A-rank techniques, but that was still only by comparison.
"Let's head back for today. Meet here tomorrow," Tsunade said.
"You go on ahead. I'm going to train here for a while."
Tsunade glanced at Shin, then nodded and left with Kushina and Mikoto. Kushina hadn't wanted to go, but Tsunade picked her up and carried her off.
After they left, Shin activated the Mind's Eye of the Kagura and confirmed that nobody else was within dozens of kilometers. Then his eyes turned blood red, and three black Tomoe began to spin slowly.
The Three-Tomoe Sharingan spun faster and faster until the Tomoe joined together. The pattern in his eyes changed, becoming a five-pointed shuriken.
The Mangekyō Sharingan. This was Shin's Mangekyō Sharingan.
The Sharingan was the eye that reflected one's heart. When it evolved from the Three-Tomoe Sharingan into the Mangekyō Sharingan, it awakened three dojutsu.
Aside from the shared ability, Susanoo, the other two dojutsu differed from person to person. They were born from the desires hidden in the wielder's heart.
The Mangekyō Sharingan could awaken some absurdly overpowered dojutsu. Just look at Uchiha Obito's Kamui and Uchiha Shisui's Kotoamatsukami. How broken were those?
Shin's two dojutsu were probably even more overpowered than anyone else's.
The dojutsu in Shin's left eye was Yomotsu Hirasaka, an ultimate Space-Time Ninjutsu. Its user could travel freely through any space and activate it instantly.
Unlike the Flying Thunder God Technique, it didn't need any markers as a medium. The user could teleport at will. It was far superior to the Flying Thunder God, or it wouldn't be called an ultimate Space-Time Ninjutsu.
It was a Space-Time Ninjutsu that could only be used by someone possessing all three dojutsu: the Sharingan, the Byakugan, and the Rinnegan.
In the original story, even counting Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, only Otsutsuki Kaguya and
Otsutsuki Urashiki could use this ultimate Space-Time Ninjutsu.
But since it had become Shin's dojutsu, he could use it without having the Byakugan or Rinnegan.
Shin's right-eye dojutsu was even more outrageous. It was called Amenominaka. If Yomotsu Hirasaka ruled over space, then Amenominaka ruled over time.
Amenominaka could turn back Shin's own time by three minutes.
Three minutes might not seem like much, but in battle, it could make all the difference.
For example, if he was injured, he could turn back his own time by three minutes and return to the moment before he was hurt.
Unless someone could kill Shin instantly, no one could injure him. One second he could be wounded, and the next, he'd be as good as new.
And with Amenominaka combined with Yomotsu Hirasaka, his ability to survive was beyond description.
"Just how afraid of dying am I?" Shin couldn't help teasing himself.
Shin decided to test it. He took out a Kunai and slashed his arm. His clothes were cut, but his arm wasn't hurt at all.
Shin blinked. Had his skin somehow become tough enough that even a Kunai couldn't cut it?
"Looks like I'll have to use the big guns."
Shin took out a Sealing Scroll and released its seal. A katana appeared in his hand.
He lightly slashed his arm, opening a wound, then used Amenominaka. The wound vanished instantly, as though it had never been there.
His clothes, however, remained torn. Amenominaka only affected his own body; it had no effect on external objects like clothing. The chakra and eye power it consumed were pretty substantial, though.
The chakra and eye power consumed by Amenominaka didn't recover when time was turned back.
