Di Tian sensed Gu Yuena's anger and nearly went weak in the knees.

Of course, he wasn't afraid of Gu Yuena's pressure. He was afraid she would give up.

Gu Yuena was the only hope for the rise of the Soul Beasts. Nothing could be allowed to happen to her.

He didn't want his own mistake to plunge the Soul Beast Clan into an irredeemable predicament.

"All right, leave. I need some time alone. Don't come and disturb me for the next few days."

Gu Yuena calmed herself and waved a hand lightly.

Di Tian and Xiong Jun exchanged glances, then obediently withdrew.

As Di Tian left, a strange change came over Gu Yuena. Her whole body began to emit seven-colored light.

Then something uncanny happened.

Another girl suddenly stepped out of Na'er's body...

The girl had long black hair and a face completely unlike Na'er's. She wasn't stunningly beautiful, but she wasn't unattractive either—she was above average.

Still, paired with the natural air of authority she carried, she seemed especially remarkable.

The girl had just emerged, her clothes in disarray. Her skin wasn't as fair as Na'er's, but it was still exceptionally smooth and delicate. Her thighs were long, and her proportions were nearly perfect.

As the girl fully separated from her, Na'er's aura weakened noticeably, leaving her looking especially feeble.

"Gu Yue, why did you only give me thirty percent of your power? How could you do that to me..."

Na'er had completely shed the domineering air she'd carried moments ago. She puffed out her cheeks, put her hands on her hips, and glared, looking especially cute.

"Hmph. You're lovesick. What use do you have for so much power? I need strength to revive the Soul Beast Clan. Giving you thirty percent is already generous." Gu Yue casually draped a robe over herself, her tone indifferent.

"Mm... With only thirty percent of my power, what if I can't beat Brother in the future..."

Na'er said, feeling aggrieved.

After all, she had made a promise to Su Chen.

With less power, her potential would naturally diminish as well.

"You like him so much, yet that guy flirts with women everywhere. He's already like this at such a young age. In a few years, he might even have children. Is he really worth it?"

Gu Yue frowned.

After peeling off that part of herself that held those feelings and turning it into Na'er, she had become utterly rational. She thought Na'er was being incredibly foolish.

"Hmph, Gu Yue, you don't understand him. Brother isn't like that!" Na'er stuck out her chin and glared, clearly unwilling to let Gu Yue badmouth Su Chen.

"Then I'll just have to see what kind of person he really is."

Gu Yue looked at Na'er and said coolly, "In a few days, I'll send you away to study somewhere else. I'll stay here in Eastsea City and keep observing him, while I fully integrate into human society. I want to see what makes this guy so appealing."

After separating the part of herself that blindly admired Su Chen into Na'er, Gu Yue thought he was just an ordinary human genius. Aside from having slightly better talent, he had no real strengths. In fact, he was quite the womanizer.

If he was like this at such a young age, what would he be like when he grew up?

"Gu Yue, maybe don't. What if you end up falling for him too? Wouldn't that make you look like a fool?"

Na'er tried to dissuade her timidly.

"Shut up! How could I possibly fall for him? I'm not like you. I'm not lovesick!"

Gu Yue glared fiercely at Na'er.

"Uh... I think I came from inside you..." Na'er retorted.

Gu Yue...

"I've already separated you from myself. There's no way I'll ever fall for a human!" Gu Yue stubbornly insisted.

Then she thought of something, the corners of her mouth curling into a teasing smile. "Actually, with Su Chen being such a womanizer, Na'er, what if he falls for me and then dumps you?"

"He wouldn't..."

Na'er shook her head gently. "From what I know of Brother, he might want to keep both of us in his harem. He might even bring other women into it..."

Gu Yue...

"He'd better not! If he got together with me and still dared to be unfaithful, I'd castrate him!" Gu Yue fumed, clearly unable to accept such a thing.

"Uh... Gu Yue, don't be so fierce... What if you can't beat him..."

Na'er muttered softly.

She suspected Su Chen was hiding a lot from her.

Being a Soul Elder at ten was already astonishing. If Su Chen was hiding even more, Gu Yue might be in for a nasty surprise.

Na'er stuck out her tongue and obediently handed over her communicator.

She'd been planning to use it to secretly contact Su Chen.

Though she was reluctant, she knew she had to go through this.

Besides, if Gu Yue fell for Su Chen too, then maybe she wouldn't stop Na'er from being with him...
