Background

Lin Lei spent eight years in the Flower Territory after arriving in this world under the name Ji Shang. He took his father Aguda's surname and lived as the son of a poor free citizen, expecting to remain an ordinary farmer for life. That changed when the King Card System activated and granted him a draw chance. 1

His first Hero Card was Erlang Shen (Yang Jian). After using it to kill a Silver-rank Earth Demon Bear, he retained 43% of Yang Jian's attributes, received the Three-Pointed Double-Edged Spear and the Three Eyes divine ability, and saw Ah Huang empowered as well. 2

Lin Lei left Wheat Town to become stronger and arranged protection for his family before departing. His stated aim was not to become a savior, but to gain enough power to protect them from future threats. 8

Appearance

Lin Lei was initially thin and undernourished from his life as a farmer. The Yang Jian card's settlement transformed his body into a muscular, athletic build. 2

As a commander, he favors discipline paired with opportunity. He transformed idle noble soldiers into a functioning unit, introduced cultivation training and a proposed merit system, and sought out capable people among slaves and commoners rather than judging them by origin. 11 12 26 27

He can be ruthless when facing threats, but does not treat lives as expendable. He spares and subordinates defeated goblins and kobolds when they can provide long-term value, while strongly opposing abuse by his own troops. 28 39 43

Baron of Crouching Dragon Ravine
