At this moment, Hogg felt that something was wrong. The energy brought by consuming a daemon primarch—an entity analogous to a Greater Daemon—was simply too vast, far exceeding his expectations. His conversion rate could not keep up, causing the behemoth Hogg had transformed into to remain frozen in place, struggling with all his might to digest the conflicting energies within his body.

But gorging oneself is never a good idea. As the Psionic Energy used for assimilation was withdrawn, the gaze of the Warp once again descended upon this region. A massive greatsword tore through the veil of reality, and violent Warp energy, accompanied by a gaze of appreciation, was poured into Hogg.

Crimson lightning tore through the sky, and the heavens were shrouded in darkness.

Angron, who had been watching the battle between the two xenos, crawled out of the ruins, intending to leave this place. However, Guilliman blocked his path. The innate resonance between primarchs caused the terrified Angron to calm down.

"Angron! I am your brother, Guilliman. We have come to take you back to the Imperium. Come with us quickly; this place has been tainted by xenos." Watching the fleeing Angron, Guilliman could only attempt to soothe him.

"No, I must go back. My comrades are still there; I must save them," the stubborn Angron only wanted to return and see for himself.

"Very well! Once our brother returns to normal, we can help you search for your comrades together. But you must come with us now; there are enemies in orbit surrounding this area."

"Brother? Are you talking about this xeno?"

A disbelieving Angron pointed at the monster standing in the ruins, which looked even more like a xeno than the daemon primarch that had been hunting him just moments before.

What must come will come. Looking at Hogg, who indeed did not look human, Guilliman could only explain: "Yes! He is our brother; he is simply capable of growing larger. Hogg!! It is time to go. What are you doing?"

Seeing Hogg motionless, Guilliman felt something was wrong, but he could not discern what. Angron, who was present, was just as much of a "muggle" and could not tell either. Guilliman had no choice but to call for a landing craft to pick them up.

If a psyker had been present, they would surely have been twisted into a Chaos Spawn by the violent Warp energies of this place.

Having lost his "pity pull," Khorne decided to recoup his losses by setting his sights on Hogg, this rather "dirty" SSR. Khorne decided to pull the gacha. Although the power of an Evil God is weakened by the veil, Khorne was willing to exert himself to personally descend and pour his power into the vessel.

Hogg's consciousness was dragged to a battlefield paved with skulls, where an endless army of daemons fought solely to earn a sliver of appreciation from the Evil God seated upon the Brass Throne.

Hogg was a little panicked, but upon sensing his physical body in reality, he calmed down.

A tremendous roar erupted. A bewildered Hogg heard the whispers of the Evil God opposite him. All the warring Khornate daemon armies ceased their slaughter to listen to the proclamation of their deity, presumably expecting a Champion to be born and join their ranks.

"Why are you shouting so loudly?" The arrogant Hogg did not fear Khorne's might, using an even louder voice to suppress him.

Interrupted, Khorne was instead even more pleased: "Little one, I think highly of you. Become my Eternal Champion! I shall grant you unparalleled power."

"Power? What other benefits are there besides power?" Hogg felt not the slightest interest in Khorne's boring enticements. Back when he was a soldier, his superiors had to at least buy them a popsicle to get them to work.

"...Besides power, I shall also grant you the status of my progeny," Khorne upped the ante.

"But, I am already a progeny of Emperor. Furthermore, in the Imperium, no one can suppress me except Emperor. If I defect to you, wouldn't that just mean joining Chaos and having four more guys to beat me up? That would be a wasted effort."

Hogg remained unmoved. Laughable! Even at its worst, the Imperium was better than Chaos. Besides, for someone like him who possessed no Warp essence, even if the Warp exploded, it would have nothing to do with him.

Thinking of those few pieces of trash, Khorne felt there was some truth to the refusal, despite being rejected again. Encountering something that suited his tastes so well, Khorne decided to increase the stakes further.

"I can grant you a seat beside my throne and make you my lieutenant, to share in the joy of war with me." This was Khorne's greatest concession; after all, the best things should be reserved for the angels.

Hearing such a tremendous honor, the surrounding Khornate Champions were green with envy. It seemed the foreign monk was better at chanting scriptures; they had fought and died for tens of thousands of years only to become Champions, while this newcomer could become their direct superior upon arrival. It was too painful.

Hogg did not speak, as if weighing his options. Slowly walking to the stage, stepping over the 888 stairs made from the skulls of the most valiant warriors, Hogg calculated the time and arrived at the feet of Khorne.

In Hogg's eyes, Khorne's figure seemed like a pathetic sycophant; no matter how good the conditions were, they could not stir the slightest bit of interest in him.

"Too lowly." Lies do not hurt, but the truth is a sharp blade. The indifferent words dealt Khorne a massive critical hit, as if something within his heart had shattered.

Hogg continued his monologue, and though his voice was not loud, every daemon could hear him.

"Khorne, everything I have belongs to myself. Although I am deeply moved by your generous treatment, the one who earns my loyalty must be a true master, not a lowly sycophant.

Your offer just now was very tempting, but if I were to receive such rich rewards the moment I arrived, while those old subordinates who have followed you for countless ages are left as mere foot soldiers, it makes me very uneasy. I do not wish to defect to you only to be discarded and denied promotion like them." The ruthless rejection, coupled with the look of profound disappointment on Hogg's face, deeply stung Khorne's pride.

Stung, Khorne stood up directly from the Brass Throne, the extreme humiliation and rage igniting the last shred of his reason.

Sensing that things were going south, Hogg decided to make a run for it. Pitch-black tentacles emerged, eroding the stairs beneath his feet. The form manifested by his consciousness began to vanish; even an Evil God could not prevent his departure.

But in the final moment of disappearance, Hogg could not help but be snarky: "Khorne, you aren't even as good as the fluids Slaanesh leaks. Go lick Slaanesh's &%¥, don't contact me again. I'm embarrassed for you."

The vanishing afterimage was pierced by a greatsword burning with rage, and the stairs themselves were torn to shreds. The skull Hogg had once stood upon was sent flying, and countless daemons were utterly annihilated by this single blow.

A violent roar erupted from the Khornate domains in the northwest of the Warp, triggering a massive tide that tore countless Warp entities to shreds.

But this had nothing to do with Hogg. Enjoying the satisfaction of his verbal assault, Hogg opened his eyes to see Guilliman and Angron crouching at his feet. Feeling bloated from overeating, Hogg found it uncomfortable and slowly returned to his original size, joining the two.

Seeing the man transform, Angron greeted his brother warmly. He had already learned some information from Guilliman; his comrades had been found. Although some had died in the shelling, most were still alive, and the two were waiting for the fleet to arrive while keeping an eye on Hogg's body.

"Thank you, brother. I am Angron." A rough hand covered in scars was extended.

Hogg placed his hand on it: "Hogg Menethil, your brother. If you run into trouble in the future, come find me; I'm good for it."

Seeing Guilliman still crouching and failing to read the room, Hogg gave him a kick. The Thirteenth Primarch reacted and placed his hand on top: "Brothers, I am Guilliman." But Hogg's next words made Guilliman wish he could pull his hand back.

"Good! I declare the Imperium Secundus established, and I am the boss." Three palms were stacked together. In the ruins, the actions of the three primarchs were recorded by the soldiers who had just arrived.
