Guy and Pakura fought the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, then Guy spared Pakura and met Yahiko’s Akatsuki. After returning to Konoha, Guy broke through the Yijin Jing, earned a jonin promotion, and began training with Chen to refine his taijutsu.

• Pakura recovered with the Spinach Pill’s help as Guy and the Konoha team fought the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, and Guy used their weapons and his taijutsu to kill four of them.
• Guy pursued the surviving swordsmen with Pakura, then spared her after she warned that Rasa could turn her capture or death into a political weapon against Konoha.
• Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan arrived with Munashi Jinpachi, and Guy let them leave with Shibuki and claim Jinpachi had escaped.
• Guy received new system rewards and divided the captured swords among Ebisu and Genma before Konoha reinforcements brought the group back to the garrison.
• Guy spent 1,000 Monk Points to perfect the Yijin Jing, gaining the Body of the Rising Sun and Yang-nature chakra, but the breakthrough made his hair fall out.
• Fugaku Uchiha revealed that Kirigakure had distorted the battle and Sunagakure had branded Pakura a rogue, then awarded the team merit and accepted their choice to surrender Kabutowari and Kiba’s remains.
• Fugaku promoted Guy to jonin and Ebisu and Genma to chunin, then sent them to join Chen’s squad.
• Guy demonstrated his Sixth Gate techniques for Chen, who identified Morning Peacock’s scattered power as a flaw and prepared a precision-focused training plan for the three youths.

Guy completed Teacher Chen’s demanding training and joined Ebisu and Genma in the Giant Forest to secure a summoning contract. After gaining the Crab Fortress King as their summon, the team set out to find a reconnaissance beast and approached a cave of genjutsu-producing bats.

• Guy completed his kitchen training by carving a tofu sculpture, then mastered Chen’s mosquito-threading challenge and learned Konoha taijutsu, including Konoha Dragon God.
• Chen declared Guy’s training complete, and Guy, Ebisu, and Genma learned their transfer orders were delayed before visiting Fugaku Uchiha and earning 6,200 merit points.
• Guy rejected the Giant Crab contract offered at the merit exchange and bought four blank summoning scrolls so the team could seek their own beasts in the Giant Forest.
• Ebisu offered a water-sealing scroll to a giant crab, but Guy fought the Crab King and Ebisu and Genma teamed up against it before Guy defeated it with the Fourth Gate and Konoha Dragon God.
• Ebisu and Genma bound and shocked the crab, then persuaded it to accept a summoning contract, and Guy had the two teammates sign while he joined their team without signing himself.
• Guy used Hiramekarei’s stored chakra to help Ebisu and Genma summon the crab, which they named Crab Fortress King, and they agreed to save merit points for its enormous appetite.
• The team chose to seek a reconnaissance beast, rode Crab Fortress King to a cave of giant bats, and Guy warned Ebisu and Genma about the bats’ genjutsu before sending them to capture one.

Guy’s team found and rescued Anko from Amachi’s underwater experiment base, then brought her to Orochimaru before escorting her toward Konoha for treatment. The arc ended with Shizune leading them to meet Tsunade.

• Guy, Ebisu, and Genma contracted the Bat Queen and Iron Arm, agreeing to have stronger bracers forged for the panda.
• Fugaku sent Team 9 to the Land of the Sea to find Anko, and Guy left Chen a booklet of taijutsu insights before departing.
• Guy joined Aoba, Raidō, and Tatami in searching the islands, and the Bat Queen detected a hidden site beneath Demon Realm Island.
• Amachi attacked the team with mutated fishermen and the Sea Monk, while Ebisu searched for Anko and brought her back on the Bat Queen.
• Guy opened the Sixth Gate and destroyed the Sea Monk’s body, then Genma captured the fleeing Amachi alive.
• The team found a Curse Mark on Anko and brought her and Amachi to the Land of Waves, where Orochimaru treated the mark and Anko woke without her memories.
• Guy secured leave to escort Anko to Konoha, and Hyuga Yuma warned them to stay alert before they left by ship.
• At Konoha Medical Hospital, Shizune agreed to take Guy, Genma, and Ebisu to meet Tsunade about Anko’s treatment.

Guy trained under Tsunade in medical ninjutsu, chose the Yin Seal, and learned Creation Rebirth as his return to the battlefield approached. He prepared to deploy near Kannabi Bridge with Ebisu and Genma, then went to inspect the Ninja Tortoises and recognized the caretaker.

• Tsunade examined Anko, embraced Guy while grieving for Nawaki, and agreed to teach Guy medical ninjutsu.
• Guy arranged for Ebisu and Genma to remain in Konoha, repaired his nunchaku, and brought supplies and money to the Konoha Orphanage.
• Guy began hospital training under Shizune, quickly mastered the Mystical Palm Technique, and helped treat wounded soldiers.
• Tsunade tested Guy’s knowledge, trained him in medical ninjutsu, and offered him a choice between the Yin Seal, Katsuyu Summoning, and Monster Strength.
• Guy chose the Yin Seal, mastered its basic chakra storage pathway, and began learning the Strength of a Hundred Technique and Creation Rebirth from Tsunade.
• Guy completed his training and told Ebisu and Genma that he had applied to deploy near Kannabi Bridge, and they agreed to join him.
• Guy asked Morino Jiro about redeeming a summoned beast, then visited the Ninja Tortoise breeding grounds and recognized the old caretaker.
