• Guy and Shizune operated on White Brow, removing his damaged shell plate, and White Brow recovered enough to stand.
• Guy and Shizune staged a life-threatening injury that forced Tsunade to confront her hemophobia, and Tsunade healed Shizune.
• Tsunade gave Guy the Katsuyu contract, and Katsuyu accepted him as a summoner.

Guy destroyed Kannabi Bridge, fought Yugito Nii, and learned that Rin had been captured while Obito might still be alive. He and Kakashi reached Rin on Sentry Island, but Kirigakure’s forces surrounded them as a familiar leader arrived.

• Kurenai confessed her feelings to Guy before he left with Ebisu and Genma to report to Minato Namikaze.
• Minato assigned Guy to lead a reconnaissance unit near Kannabi Bridge, where Guy’s team defeated Taiseki’s Iwagakure squad and captured survivors.
• After Minato ordered the bridge destroyed, Guy shattered Kannabi Bridge with three flaming punches and raced toward Thundercloud Gorge.
• Guy found Kakashi injured and Rin alive after Obito disappeared in strange blue flames, then fought Yugito Nii and defeated Matatabi before Black Zetsu dragged Yugito underground.
• Guy learned that Kirigakure had taken Rin and returned Kakashi to the battlefield, then joined him in resolving to rescue her.
• Guy and Kakashi traveled to the Land of Water, followed a suspicious scout’s information to Sentry Island, and found Rin amid a large Kirigakure force.
• Guy knocked Rin unconscious to stop her from revealing Kirigakure’s plan, then fled with her and Kakashi as more than two hundred enemies surrounded them and a familiar leader arrived.

Guy, Kakashi, and Obito subdued the Three-Tails and rescued Rin, while Obito survived and returned to Konoha after losing his memories of the black-robed figures. After reporting to the Hokage and tending to their wounds, Guy brought Obito and Rin to Minato, who reinforced Obito’s seal and began examining Rin’s.

• Guy and Kakashi fought the Kirigakure forces, then joined Obito in subduing the Three-Tails and rescuing Rin.
• Guy made Obito the jinchuriki of half the Three-Tails, and Obito chose to return to Konoha with Rin after agreeing to have his memories of the black-robed figures erased.
• Guy and Kakashi recovered Obito’s missing body parts from the black-robed figures, and Guy restored Obito’s body except for his right eye.
• Guy, Kakashi, Obito, and Rin returned to Konoha, where they reported to Hiruzen and learned that Rin’s heart seal prevented her from killing herself.
• Guy told Tsunade about Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, then reunited with Kabuto and learned that the orphanage and turtle jelly business were doing well.
• Tsunade examined Kakashi’s burns, and Kakashi chose a skin graft from near his groin before Guy and Shizune prepared him for surgery.
• Guy, Obito, and Rin traveled to the Konoha encampment, where Minato reinforced Obito’s seal and examined the chakra beneath Rin’s seal.

Guy helped secure peace between Konoha, Iwagakure, and Kumogakure, then took in war refugees and helped establish their care at Konoha’s orphanage. As he recovered from his fight with A and prepared to cultivate the Yin Seal, Kakashi told him that White Fang might be nominated for Hokage.

• Minato Namikaze led Konoha’s delegation to peace talks in the Land of Rice Fields, where A’s proposal to attack Sunagakure threatened the negotiations.
• Guy fought A’s One-Finger Nukite with Vajra Finger, badly injuring his own hand while severing A’s index finger, and Minato Namikaze secured A’s agreement to withdraw Kumogakure’s troops.
• At a banquet, Guy showed Obito the suffering of refugees and helped him confront the hardship hidden behind the Land of Rice Fields’ prosperity.
• Guy took in Ghost Mother and her infant Kidomaru, gathered other displaced women and children, and brought them to Konoha with Obito’s and Rin’s help.
• Yakushi Nonō agreed to care for the refugee children, while Might Duy moved into the orphanage to teach them Taijutsu.
• Tsunade treated Guy’s injured hand and ordered him to avoid fighting for two months, and Guy witnessed Hizashi Hyuga’s son Neji being born safely.
• At a gathering with their returned classmates, Kakashi told Guy that White Fang had been nominated to become the Fourth Hokage, though he did not want the position himself.
