At that moment, Wei Dong and Beerus were evenly matched. Wei Dong's base power had already reached over 260 million, and after transforming into Super Saiyan 4, his power climbed to 429 billion. Beerus hadn't even powered up yet. He'd never once used his full strength. If he had, that punch would have reduced Wei Dong to dust.
Beerus thought to himself, So that dream was real. At last, someone I can fight. It seems the Saiyans have made rapid progress during the decades I've been asleep. Whis wasn't lying to me. With power like this, I can believe he could not only kill Frieza but destroy the entire universe. There's just one problem: the Oracle Fish's prophecy. It said the one I'd meet would be a Super Saiyan God, but this man doesn't look like one. Son Goku, who transformed into a Super Saiyan God, might put up a fight, but he wouldn't pose any real threat to me. Yet this man's power is absurd.
The fight grew increasingly intense. Although the two seemed evenly matched, anyone could see Wei Dong was at a disadvantage. His ki was fading, and he was sweating more and more.
Beerus, by contrast, showed no sign of fatigue. He looked completely relaxed.
After about ten minutes, Beerus decided to end the match. He powered up and appeared behind Wei Dong in an instant. Wei Dong was already battered and struggling to defend himself. Beerus unleashed a flurry of punches, and Wei Dong, unable to withstand them, was sent flying back to Earth.
As he neared the ground, Wei Dong's body could no longer bear the strain of Super Saiyan 4. Having lost the fight, he reverted to his normal form in midair.
When everyone saw the familiar face, they recognized Wei Dong. "Oh, it's Wei Dong. I was wondering who it was." They gathered around him.
Wei Dong struggled to take a Senzu Bean from someone's hand and put it in his mouth. He swallowed it, then sighed. "Whew, I thought I was going to die. I can't believe I'm okay."
The Senzu Bean healed him, and Wei Dong got to his feet. Grinning, he said, "I lost."
Son Goku, standing nearby, said, "You were amazing, Wei Dong. If Beerus had used that kind of strength against me just now, I don't think I'd have lasted ten moves before dying."
Beerus had beaten Son Goku badly too. After eating a Senzu Bean, Son Goku had recovered from the brink of death, and his power had already surpassed 100 million. Wei Dong had also grown stronger, his base power rising from 260 million to nearly 270 million.
There was no denying Beerus's strength. Calling him a monster wouldn't be an exaggeration.
No matter how you looked at it, even if Beerus spent the later parts of the story sleeping, the anime kept making him stronger. No amount of training could surpass him. Of course, if you meant Son Goku with Ultra Instinct, then I had nothing to say. If Beerus had mastered Ultra Instinct too, Son Goku wouldn't stand a chance.
Beerus came down as well, but he didn't say anything. He went straight to the desserts. Whis introduced him to some of them. Beerus had been fighting, while Whis had been eating the whole time, so he told Beerus which ones were especially tasty. The really delicious ones, though, Whis had already eaten.
For now, Wei Dong's power far surpassed Son Goku and the others', so he had nothing to worry about. Still, the boost from Super Saiyan 4 was absurd. Super Saiyan God's red form only multiplied power eight hundred times, and he had no idea how much Super Saiyan Blue multiplied it by.
But before I'd even had a chance to rest, Son Goku was acting like he'd been injected with adrenaline. He went straight to Beerus and asked for another match. Beerus refused, threatening to destroy Son Goku first—and then Earth—if he disturbed him while he was eating.
Vegeta heard this and pulled Son Goku away. "You can fight Wei Dong instead. He's strong too. Maybe if you keep fighting him, you'll even master that form of his."
Vegeta kept coaxing Son Goku until it seemed he'd finally talked him into it.
Wei Dong was troubled too. It wasn't that he didn't want to fight. The problem was that Beerus's last attack had contained a tiny trace of destruction energy. Even after eating a Senzu Bean, Wei Dong hadn't fully recovered. It had only healed his body. The power of a God of Destruction was destruction itself; no Senzu Bean could possibly counter it.
Son Goku seemed unable to understand what that meant, but Whis did. He healed Wei Dong, and he was back to normal in an instant.
Wei Dong didn't hesitate. Beerus had just beaten me to a pulp. Fine, I couldn't beat him—but surely I could at least beat you.
Wei Dong instantly transformed into Super Saiyan 3. Transforming into Super Saiyan 4 would have been a bit unfair to Son Goku.
The two of them began fighting in space outside Earth. Even in Super Saiyan 3, Wei Dong completely dominated Son Goku. After all, Son Goku couldn't compare to Wei Dong's base power.
