The sheer gap in power left Son Goku unable to fight back. In truth, Beerus had been holding back while fighting him, barely exerting himself. But the moment Beerus used even a little more power, he knocked Wei Dong straight out of his transformed state.

Damn, he was the strongest God of Destruction among the twelve universes. This was no one an ordinary person could fight, especially since Beerus had Ultra Instinct: Sign. His power in his normal state was already absurd, and with Ultra Instinct on top of that, no one could beat him.

Sigh. Forget it. I'm not saving these System Coins. System, exchange them all for Battle-Hardened.

Battle-Hardened is now at Level 5.

Sigh. What can I do? Without Battle-Hardened, it's hard to raise my power. Wei Dong was never very good at increasing his strength to begin with.

Son Goku, who was fighting Wei Dong, also sensed that Wei Dong's power was rising during the battle. The same thing had happened when Wei Dong fought Beerus earlier, but this time his power was rising faster and by more.

Piccolo and Biro, watching from below, were shocked too. Piccolo had an idea: fuse with Kami. The Grand Elder had said that once they fused, Piccolo would become a true Namekian of the Dragon Clan. Piccolo didn't want to be left behind. He wanted to catch up to Son Goku, just like eleven years ago, when they had been on the same level—not like now.

Piccolo's feelings were a tangled mess. Was the gap between people and races really that huge?

Son Goku was having a hard time posing any threat to Wei Dong now. But what Wei Dong found interesting was that Pan had been born. Gohan must have been pretty quick about it. Pan's power wasn't very high—only a few thousand, as far as he could tell. But she had been born only recently, and she already had a power level in the thousands. By contrast, Gohan and Trunks at this point were nothing to write home about. Their power levels were already over nine million, but they were around twelve years old. And they had been born without tails. Would that affect their growth later?

Back when Son Gohan fought Cell, his power had surged to eight billion. Those two were even lazier than Gohan, damn it.

No matter how lazy Gohan was, his normal-state power was still over forty million. Those two only had a little over ten million. It wasn't enough that they lacked Gohan's talent—they didn't even put in the effort. Weren't they just slacking off and waiting to die?

But they were only side characters anyway, so it didn't matter. Wei Dong's fight with Son Goku was basically just a chance for him to keep increasing his power. Son Goku was already panting, while Beerus below kept stuffing his face with cake.

A little while later, Son Goku was out of stamina too. He dropped out of Super Saiyan God form and said, "Wei Dong, you're incredible. I'm no match for you at all. I thought if I dragged things out, you might get tired too, but I guess I was wrong."

I smiled and replied, "Not at all. You've only just learned that form, so you're not very used to it yet. It just takes a lot of energy."

Afterward, Son Goku and Wei Dong returned to the ship. Vegeta's normal-state power was now over sixty million.

Piccolo's normal-state power was close to fifty million, while Biro's was about to break seventy million. Why did Vegeta seem so weak now?

Vegeta had already fallen behind in power before, and he was falling behind again now. I had a feeling he might not stay the perennial runner-up. At this rate, even Piccolo could surpass him. Actually, Piccolo already had, since he hadn't even fused with Kami yet.

And Biro was in this timeline too. If Piccolo fused with Kami first, then assimilated Biro, his power would become enormous. Wei Dong couldn't even imagine it. Maybe it would surpass his own.

Vegeta was in a bad spot, though. He couldn't fuse with anyone. Maybe he'd get a big boost if he eventually transformed into Super Saiyan God Blue 2, but that was still a long way off. If Babidi had unlocked his potential back then, Vegeta's power would be close to ninety million by now. But Babidi hadn't gotten the chance to control Vegeta and bring out his potential before Wei Dong killed him in one blow.

All in all, there still weren't any powerful villains around. Vegeta's power wasn't much to look at now, but after he mastered Ultra Ego and the God of Destruction form, he might surpass me. Maybe he'd get angry if a powerful villain threatened Bulma.

Wei Dong had realized there was a problem. In the future, Son Goku and Vegeta would both have divine techniques, but he had none. Vegeta was on the God of Destruction path, while Son Goku was like the Angel Race, with Ultra Instinct. What about him? Damn it, he wouldn't have any divine techniques later. Would those two wipe the floor with him?
