Gohan had no choice but to agree, and the group followed Whis to the God of Destruction's Temple.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the universe, a group of people aboard a spaceship were discussing a terrifying plan: to resurrect someone from the Frieza Race. Ever since the Frieza Race had been wiped out, their lives had grown harder and harder. They needed someone who could protect them.
That was why they had set their sights on Earth's Dragon Balls. They had initially been interested in Namek's Dragon Balls, but after hearing that Namek now had many combat-type Namekians whose power levels were in the hundreds of thousands, they gave up on the idea.
They chose Earth instead. Son Goku and the others were there, but most people on Earth had power levels below five. As long as they stayed hidden, finding the Dragon Balls would be easy.
A month later.
A spaceship landed on Earth, but it had activated a cloaking device, so Kami didn't notice it. Inside the ship, the Cosmic Beings had a Dragon Ball Scouter. They sent someone to search for the Dragon Balls, but when he turned on the Scouter, he found that they were all together. Overjoyed, they sent someone with a power level in the hundreds of thousands to retrieve them.
The sneaking figure reached his destination: a place with enormous, luxurious buildings. It was Bulma's home. He grabbed the Dragon Balls at incredible speed and hurried back to the spaceship.
When he returned with the Dragon Balls, the others were overjoyed to see them.
They were ecstatic and immediately began making their wishes. When Shenron appeared, Earth's Guardian sensed it too, and used Kami's magic to see who was making the wishes.
"State your wishes. I can grant three."
The group was thrilled. Their first wish was to resurrect Frieza of the Frieza Race. Their second was to resurrect Cooler of the Frieza Race. They thought long and hard about the third wish before realizing, "Wait, the people we resurrected aren't here!" So they used their final wish to teleport them all to their location.
But after the wishes were granted, Shenron didn't disappear. They had no idea what was happening to him. If Wei Dong had been there, he would have known this was a sign that the Shadow Dragons were about to appear. Suddenly, the Dragon Balls shot away, the earth split, and mountains crumbled. The group had no idea what was happening. They hurriedly carried Frieza and Cooler's chunks of flesh onto the spaceship and fled Earth.
They had left Earth, but now the planet seemed to be wrapped around something, and it was being ravaged. A while later, the seven Dragon Balls that had flown away transformed into seven people: the One-Star Dragon, Two-Star Dragon, Three-Star Dragon, Four-Star Dragon, Five-Star Dragon, Six-Star Dragon, and Seven-Star Dragon.
Earth had now entered an unprecedented crisis. But everyone at the God of Destruction's Temple knew nothing about it, so Earth could only rely on the Z Fighters. Unfortunately, Buu also erupted at that moment. That's right—Evil Buu had appeared too. He had emerged where the Three-Star Dragon was. That sly bastard.
