"Oh, I see. I always felt like I didn't fit in. It turns out I'm a Cosmic Being," Kami mused.
Kami slowly spoke up. "Son Goku was killed by Piccolo five days ago. Piccolo and Goku teamed up to fight Raditz, but Goku sacrificed himself."
Wei Dong thought, Oh no. I shouldn't have done that mission. What a disaster. Otherwise, Son Goku wouldn't have had to die.
Then Wei Dong asked, "Kami, where is he training? Could you take me there too?"
Kami said, "Only the dead can go. I don't know if a living person can."
Wei Dong said to Kami, "It's fine. Take me there. If it doesn't work, I'll sneak in."
Kami nodded, then took Wei Dong to Otherworld.
Without even asking, Wei Dong immediately detoured and ran off toward Snake Way. That was Wei Dong for you.
On the way to King Kai's Planet, he ran into Son Goku.
Wei Dong introduced himself to Son Goku and told him where he was from. Then he went with Goku. Since Wei Dong's power level was relatively high—2,628—he brought Goku along and reached King Kai's Planet in no time. Once they arrived, they began training. Goku wasn't used to it at first, but Wei Dong was different: he'd already trained under gravity, so it was much easier for him than for Son Goku.
After three months, Wei Dong began learning Kaio-ken. It was still a little too early for Goku; King Kai said he needed another two months.
Wei Dong didn't mind. He'd brought Goku along Snake Way, and the trip hadn't even taken a month. (This was after Piccolo and the others died in the original story.)
It had taken a power level of 1,500 just over ten days to reach King Kai's Planet, so anyone who didn't believe it could go back and reread it. They'd chatted along the way, and only four months had passed. At this rate, Vegeta might really end up as "Tragedy Vegeta." After learning Kaio-ken, King Kai didn't seem to bring up the Spirit Bomb with Wei Dong, but he didn't mind. Maybe King Kai felt Wei Dong wasn't as righteous as Son Goku. Besides, Wei Dong didn't care about the Spirit Bomb anyway.
Wei Dong brought out his spaceship and went inside to train under gravity.
He started training under thirty times gravity.
Four months later, Goku had learned Kaio-ken and the Spirit Bomb. Only seven months had passed, and Goku's power level was already over 7,000.
Wei Dong's was just over 80,000, and he could already handle eight times Kaio-ken. That put his maximum power level at over 640,000, which was more than enough for now.
Another month passed, and Son Goku had become very proficient with the Spirit Bomb. King Kai suggested that he go into the spaceship and train with Wei Dong.
Wei Dong's power level was only 90,000 by then, so he decided to take a break. He lowered the gravity to twenty times, came out, and let Goku train inside.
With a power level close to 8,000, Goku would have no trouble beating Vegeta. Before Goku went in, Wei Dong told him to spare the Saiyan when the time came. After all, there weren't many Saiyans left; they were nearly extinct.
Goku agreed, but said, "I'll spare him once. If he threatens Earth again, I'll still kill him."
It hadn't even been nine months yet, so there was still plenty of time. Wei Dong kept discussing Kaio-ken with King Kai, always asking how he could increase the multiplier.
But Wei Dong felt it wouldn't help him much, so he asked the System whether there were any missions in Hell.
The System said there were, so Wei Dong went off to do them again. The rewards were System Coins. Some missions involved tracking down escaped prisoners, while others required beating up prisoners. People in Hell couldn't die, so they often beat up the management staff.
Was there any justice? Any law? There were only System Coins!
Time flew by. Less than a day remained before the Saiyans arrived on Earth when King Kai finally remembered.
Once Goku came out, Wei Dong immediately recalled the spaceship. He was worried he'd forget. He'd also earned twelve System Coins over those three months. By the time Wei Dong and Goku flew over, some of the Z Fighters were already dead. Yamcha and Chiaotzu had kicked the bucket. Just as Tien Shinhan was about to use his Tri-Beam and die, Wei Dong rushed over and gave him a Senzu Bean. The System's mission was to save an ally of justice, and it paid 0.5 System Coins. That 0.5 System Coin was damn important, you know.
Then Wei Dong flew off and watched them from a distance. Goku asked him, "Aren't you coming with us? You're so strong, it should be easy for you."
