"It's fine, I'll just watch you fight; otherwise, it'd be too much of a bully to the Saiyans, and besides, I want to let you all immerse yourselves in my strength," Wei Dong said with a straight face.
Son Goku gave an awkward laugh before diving into the match. Facing Nappa, he looked completely relaxed; after all, the current Son Goku already possessed a combat power of just over 10,000.
Off to the side, Vegeta kept his eyes on Wei Dong, filled with disbelief, because his scouter had exploded—and he knew exactly what that meant.
In truth, Wei Dong didn't want it to be this way, but he wasn't skilled at manipulating ki, so he couldn't control the intensity of his energy. Even with 100,000 combat power, his lack of combat experience meant he couldn't properly control his ki to unleash his full potential.
Nappa was simply no match for Son Goku, as Nappa could only muster a combat power of at most 7,000. This was quite puzzling, as the original story had pegged Nappa's combat power at just over 4,000.
When Vegeta saw that Nappa was no match for Son Goku, he ordered Nappa to return so he could step in himself. However, as Nappa flew back, he veered toward Son Gohan. Sensing something was wrong, Son Goku immediately activated Kaio-ken and charged at Nappa.
After Goku finished off Nappa, he didn't kill him, instead telling Vegeta to take him away. Although Vegeta was terrified of Wei Dong, he was certain that if he transformed into a Great Ape, Wei Dong would be no match for him. Thus, Vegeta threw Nappa into the sky and killed him with an energy blast.
So, as Vegeta sent Nappa to hell, he prepared to release an Artificial Moon, banking on the fact that Son Goku and the others wouldn't realize there was something else hidden within the energy wave.
When Vegeta released the Artificial Moon, Wei Dong immediately severed his tail. Vegeta was left stunned; he was a Saiyan himself, and he had seen Wei Dong cut off his tail with perfect clarity.
So, the only Saiyans left are me, Kakarot, and his brat—not counting those two who died, Vegeta thought. Where did this guy pop out from? But since this idiot cut off his own tail, he can't transform into a Great Ape, so he's no match for me.
Goku shouted, "Piccolo, Krillin, Tien Shinhan, Gohan, get out of here! Go to Kame House!"
But Vegeta had already noticed this and quickly stomped down. Just as his foot was about to land, Piccolo pushed Gohan out of the way—truly a father's love from Piccolo.
Indeed, Piccolo sacrificed himself, but Krillin, Gohan, and Tien Shinhan were saved. Yes, Wei Dong had saved them; he had activated 5x Kaio-ken to reach them in time. Goku shouted, "Why didn't you save Piccolo?"
Wei Dong replied slowly, "Let him go train with King Kai; that way, he saves the time it would take to travel there."
Goku was stunned for a moment before saying, "But if Piccolo dies, the Dragon Balls disappear, and he can't be revived!"
Wei Dong spoke up, "Goku, have you forgotten where I come from? There are still *Dragon Ball*s there that can revive him. Plus, those ones can grant three wishes and revive people no matter how many times they've died. So, you'd better hurry and fight..."
Before he could finish, Vegeta grabbed Goku and prepared to crush him. Seeing this, Wei Dong didn't hesitate; he rushed over and gave Vegeta a brutal beating, forcing him to let Son Goku go.
Wei Dong looked at Vegeta and adjusted his Kaio-ken to 2x, meaning he now had 200,000 combat power.
Yet, facing Vegeta's 180,000 combat power, he still fell into a disadvantage and kept taking hits.
Conversely, Vegeta grew more relaxed, mocking him, "You regret cutting off your tail now, don't you?"
"I, Vegeta, am the strongest Saiyan! Low-class warriors like you and Kakarot will never catch up to me."
But as the fight dragged on, Vegeta noticed something wrong: this guy seemed impossible to kill.
Indeed, Wei Dong was eating from his Senzu Bean Potted Plant while taking hits. Over the past year, he had accumulated over 400 Senzu Beans. As for the other 400, he had already eaten them; he used to beat himself to the brink of death in the Gravity Chamber and eat a bean, but even though Saiyans are supposed to gain massive power after recovering from the brink of death, Wei Dong seemed to be stuck in a bug where the gains were minimal.
Because Vegeta's current combat power wasn't enough to kill Wei Dong in one hit, Wei Dong could just keep eating beans and never die.
System, why am I still being suppressed after all this time?
The system replied, "The host's combat power is high, but your application of ki and combat techniques are insufficient. You should practice or fight more to improve."
"Damn it, there's absolutely no improvement!" Wei Dong cursed.
"5x Kaio-ken!" he roared, activating the technique and pummeling Vegeta, leaving him with no room to counterattack.
At this moment, the system chimed in: "Congratulations to the host for triggering a mission regarding Vegeta."
"Option 1: Kill Vegeta. Reward: 100,000 combat power."
"Option 2: Let Kakarot defeat Vegeta. Reward: 10 *System Coin*s."
"Option 3: Let Kakarot kill Vegeta. Reward: 200x Gravity Chamber."
Wei Dong looked at the screen. *Holy crap, 10 System Coin*s? Since when is the system so generous? Helping other planets defeat invaders only netted 0.02, or 0.09 at best. This is a huge jump.
"No choice, Vegeta, I'll have to leave you to Goku." With that, Wei Dong broke off Vegeta's tail. Vegeta reverted to his human form, muttering "Damn it, damn it" over and over.
Wei Dong then said, "Son Goku, he's yours. See you on Namek later. Bye! And remember, spare Vegeta's life and let him go."
As soon as he finished speaking, Wei Dong vanished, leaving only the Z Fighters and Vegeta behind.
