Background

Tang San is the son of Tang Hao and a disciple of Yu Xiaogang, known as Grandmaster. He studied under Yu Xiaogang for six years before arriving at Shrek Academy with Xiao Wu. 71 80

The Dao Guardian System identifies Tang San as a future enemy of Martial Soul Hall and of Qian Renxue, whom Lin Xiao chooses to protect. The system describes Tang San as a person of great luck who carries the Asura God's divine intent; attempts to kill him recklessly could bring unpredictable consequences. 2

Tang San is also designated as the sole possible inheritor of the Sea God's throne. Lin Xiao is warned that attempting to seize that position would attract Asura's attention and divine punishment. 49

Tang San is highly confident in his tactical judgment. During Shrek Academy's fourth trial, he coordinates his team around Blue Silver Grass bindings and Ning Rongrong's support, believing four Soul Grand Masters can overcome Zhao Wuji. 66

He is exceptionally stubborn and protective of Xiao Wu. After Zhao Wuji captures her, Tang San refuses to concede despite recognizing that a Soul Saint is beyond a Soul Grand Master's ability to defeat; instead, he escalates from hidden weapons to his second martial soul. 67 68

Shrek Academy Enrollment Trial

Tang San enters Shrek Academy alongside Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing. During the fourth trial, he leads the group's coordinated attack on Zhao Wuji, but is struck down almost immediately by Positioning Tracking. 65 66

Refusing to surrender after Xiao Wu is restrained, Tang San uses Dragon Whisker Needles, a concealed blade, Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track, and finally the Clear Sky Hammer. Zhao Wuji withstands every attempt and knocks him unconscious. 67 68

Conflict at Shrek Academy

After recovering, Tang San recognizes the difference between himself and a Soul Saint, though he remains hostile toward Dai Mobai's behavior around Xiao Wu. 74
