Background

A fought alongside his younger brother, Killer B, after Kakuzu lured the pair to a battlefield prepared by Rasa. Rasa annihilated most of the accompanying Kumogakure force with metal spears, then confronted the brothers from a Gold Dust Throne. 149

During the battle, A repeatedly prioritized Killer B's survival. He caught Killer B during his retreat from Rasa's Steel Wings, personally blocked the pursuing blades with Lightning God Armor, and shattered the sword-feathers with his fists. 150

After Rasa's rise to godhood, A became part of Rasa's faction. His former grievance over Rasa killing his father ceased to matter once he learned that the Third Raikage could be deified and made immortal through Rasa's developing system. 325
