Background

The Sikong Family is an ancient Eastern Wasteland lineage descended from Sikong the Great. Its inheritance has endured for more than a million years, historically safeguarded by the Great Emperor’s Extreme Dao Imperial Weapon, the Shocking Saber. 263 297

Its outer territory spans millions of li, while its core is located in a secluded minor world over one hundred million li wide. The minor world contains floating mountains and islands, dense spiritual energy, and a central hall used by the family’s senior leadership. 297 302

The family commands at least one-tenth of the Eastern Wasteland’s resource mines. Its wealth, imperial weapon, and inherited formation made it one of the region’s major ancient lineages until its confrontation with Li Xiaoyao. 333

History

Conflict with Li Xiaoyao

The family first becomes involved with Li Xiaoyao because of his striking resemblance to its Dao Child, Sikong Haoyue. After Haoyue is suppressed and his Saint weapon damaged, Sikong Yan intervenes as Haoyue’s Dao Guardian. 288 290

Sikong Yan is defeated despite wielding an imitation imperial weapon, returning to the family grievously wounded. The elders investigate Li Xiaoyao’s identity, suspecting both a possible lost bloodline connection and a link to Haoyue’s missing father, Lu Qingxuan. They instead decide to capture Li Xiaoyao and, if he is not a suitable relative, extract and seal his soul. 297 302

Expedition to Dream Immortal City

The family awakens Sikong Qingyun, a Saint King Realm ancestor, and sends him with Sikong Jin and Sikong Yuntang to await Li Xiaoyao outside the Emperor Ruins. Qingyun declines to enter the ruins, choosing to ambush Li Xiaoyao at its exit. 317

Li Xiaoyao defeats Jin and Yuntang, rejects Qingyun’s offer to return to the family as a potential heir, and battles Qingyun beyond the domain. When Qingyun is overwhelmed by the Divine Radiance Mirror, Sikong Wuya arrives carrying the Shocking Saber. 322 323 327

Loss of the Shocking Saber

During the ensuing battle, Sikong Wuya is killed after Li Xiaoyao uses the Metal Dao Secret to influence the Shocking Saber. Li Xiaoyao then suppresses the weapon with the Divine Radiance Mirror, preventing the family from recalling it through its secret art. 331 332

The deaths of Qingyun and Wuya, combined with the loss of the Shocking Saber, leave the family in panic. The elders fear that rival holy lands and ancient lineages will target their mines and remaining resources. 333

Siege and Settlement

After advancing to the Saint King Realm, Li Xiaoyao attacks the Sikong Family’s ancestral grounds. The family activates its incomplete Imperial Formation but leaves numerous outer clansmen outside its protection due to the formation’s limited range. 338 339

Unable to resist Li Xiaoyao’s Divine Radiance Mirror, Sikong Xuanfeng offers Sikong Haoyue as a scapegoat and agrees to pay 100,000 jin of Dao Crystals and one trillion jin of Yuan Crystals. Gathering this payment empties the family’s mines, vaults, and even private elder reserves. 340 341 342

To reclaim the Shocking Saber, the family additionally gives Li Xiaoyao its Imperial Scripture, half a measure of Chaos Immortal Source, and an Undying Immortal Medicine Seed. Li Xiaoyao returns the saber after verifying the exchange items and suppressing the weapon one final time. 343 344 345
