Respect an S-Rank Forbidden Technique!

The Third Hokage was puzzled. "Presence?"

Yeyu thought for a moment, then explained, "Back when I was at the Ninja Academy, I noticed that the teachers there always had a certain presence that could intimidate their students."

"I was curious about that presence, so I kept studying it and wondering how I could develop one myself."

"After a few years of research, I figured it out."

Yeyu made it up on the spot.

The Third Hokage's mouth twitched. "So that's how you developed this presence?"

"That's incredible."

The Third Hokage, of course, understood what Yeyu meant by presence.

He just hadn't thought that presence could be so powerful.

But Yeyu's presence had nearly knocked Kakashi unconscious.

It practically counted as a ninjutsu—and an extremely powerful one at that.

Kakashi was a Jonin, and an Elite Jonin at that.

Yet he still couldn't withstand Yeyu's presence.

If Yeyu had unleashed it on Kakashi on the battlefield, Kakashi would already be dead.

The Third Hokage sighed in amazement. "This is no different from an S-Rank ninjutsu."

It took Kakashi quite a while to recover. Only after a long time did he finally come to his senses.

He looked at Yeyu in shock. "Yeyu, how can your presence be so terrifying? I nearly passed out."

Kakashi was still shaken.

Yeyu's presence was truly lethal.

It was far more intense than Orochimaru's killing intent.

It had utterly demolished his mental defenses.

He hadn't been able to resist it at all.

Yeyu remained calm. "I just casually studied it a few years ago."

Kakashi's mouth twitched at his words. "You just casually studied it?"

That was certainly the sort of thing that made a person jealous.

Yeyu had casually studied something that could knock out a Jonin like him.

Yeyu's strength had definitely surpassed that of a Jonin.

The Third Hokage was also somewhat shocked, but he hadn't underestimated Yeyu's strength in the first place.

He believed Yeyu had already surpassed the average Kage Level shinobi.

He just didn't know by how much yet.

The Third Hokage remembered the reason he had come and said to Yeyu, "Yeyu, I didn't order the Root shinobi to come looking for you."

Yeyu nodded. "I know. Otherwise, you and Kakashi-sensei wouldn't have come here."

Seeing that Yeyu didn't seem displeased with him, the Third Hokage breathed a sigh of relief.

He had been worried Yeyu would think he'd sent someone to test him.

"I'll go back and warn Danzo."

Yeyu smiled faintly. "It's really nothing. I didn't lose anything."

"By the way, have you made any progress with those three ninjutsu you picked?"

"All three are very difficult. It's perfectly normal if you can't understand them," the Third Hokage said.

Yeyu had only looked at one of the ninjutsu so far. He hadn't had time to examine the other two.

"I've only looked at the Five-Fold Rashomon. I have a feeling it doesn't suit me, but I did learn it. I just haven't had a chance to try it out."

The Third Hokage's eyes widened. "What? You—you learned it?"

Yeyu nodded.

The Third Hokage was stunned.

That was the Five-Fold Rashomon, an S-Rank defensive ninjutsu.

There weren't many people in Konoha who knew it.

At present, Orochimaru was the only one.

And even Orochimaru could only summon the Triple Rashomon.

He didn't have enough chakra.

Orochimaru was a Kage Level shinobi, but his chakra reserves weren't particularly large compared to those of other Kage Level shinobi.

Yet Yeyu had learned it in just one night.

The Third Hokage didn't doubt Yeyu.

It was just so astonishing. This was the Five-Fold Rashomon, a technique of the First's that was extremely difficult to master.

Kakashi had never even heard of the Five-Fold Rashomon.

The technique had been used very rarely.

Very few people had ever used it—only the First and Orochimaru.

Kakashi had never seen it.

"Lord Hokage, is it a forbidden technique?" Kakashi asked the Third Hokage.

The Third Hokage nodded. "It's an S-Rank forbidden technique."

Kakashi's gaze sharpened. "An S-Rank forbidden technique?!"

"Why would you give him such a dangerous ninjutsu?"

Kakashi thought it was a bad idea. Yeyu might be powerful, but he was still only twelve.

His knowledge of ninjutsu wasn't extensive enough yet. Learning an S-Rank forbidden technique all at once could get him killed if he wasn't careful.

Yeyu, however, didn't take it seriously at all.

The Third Hokage explained to Kakashi, "Yeyu is certainly strong enough, and although the Five-Fold Rashomon is an S-Rank forbidden technique, it isn't very dangerous."

"The dangerous part is that this technique requires an enormous amount of chakra to summon."

"If the user doesn't have enough chakra, it just means fewer gates will be summoned."

The Third Hokage turned to Yeyu. "Yeyu, how many gates do you think you can summon?"

Yeyu shook his head. "I'm not sure. I think at least three."

The Third Hokage nodded. "I think around three as well. Your chakra reserves should be about the same as Orochimaru's."

He mentioned Orochimaru because he knew Orochimaru could use the Rashomon too, and could summon three gates.

The Third Hokage thought Yeyu's chakra reserves were probably about the same as Orochimaru's.

After all, Yeyu was only twelve.

He was still nowhere near the peak of his chakra reserves.

Even Naruto, a Jinchuriki, had chakra reserves that were only about equal to Kakashi's at the moment.

But having as much chakra as Kakashi was already quite a lot.

If Kakashi hadn't had a Sharingan that he couldn't deactivate and that wasn't suited to him constantly draining his chakra, his reserves would have been at Kage Level.

You could tell from the large-scale ninjutsu he'd used before he got the Sharingan.

What the Third Hokage didn't know was that Yeyu had thirty times as much chakra as Kakashi.

He wasn't as strong as the First, but he still belonged in the category of human Tailed Beasts.

And Yeyu was only twelve.

As he grew older, his chakra reserves would keep increasing.

The Third Hokage asked Yeyu, "What do you mean when you say the Five-Fold Rashomon doesn't suit you?"

Kakashi was curious too. Why would Yeyu say that?

"It's a defensive ninjutsu, but it doesn't fit my fighting style."

"I mainly fight with Taijutsu. By the time I use the Five-Fold Rashomon, I could've already dodged."

The Third Hokage and Kakashi both paused.

Kakashi didn't understand, but the Third Hokage remembered fighting Yeyu the previous night and his bizarre speed.

He nodded in agreement. "That's true."

"But you've already learned it. You can't just give up on it, can you?"

The Third Hokage thought Yeyu was planning to abandon it and felt that would be a shame.

After all, it was an S-Rank forbidden technique, and it could be useful—especially for defending against large-scale ninjutsu attacks.

For example, it would be very useful against a Tailed Beast Bomb.

Even if it couldn't block one, redirecting its trajectory would still be helpful.

Listening to the two of them talk, Kakashi felt like he was hearing a conversation in another language.

It was too absurd.

This was an S-Rank forbidden technique. Why were the two of them talking about it as if it were a C-Rank ninjutsu?
