Tsunade looked at Jiraiya and smiled faintly. "Jiraiya, how long will you be staying this time?"
Looking at her former teammate, with that mature yet youthful, sunny aura and such a beautiful appearance, Jiraiya was somewhat dazed.
Was this still the Tsunade he remembered?
Tsunade did not notice Jiraiya's expression.
"Granny Tsunade, how are you getting younger and younger?" Seeing that Jiraiya had not said a word, Naruto spoke up.
Tsunade merely smiled slightly.
"It was a gift from heaven."
Naruto's mouth twitched. "A gift from heaven?"
Tsunade waved to the two of them. "See you later, then. I need to go to the Hokage Office."
Watching Tsunade and Shizune leave, Jiraiya finally snapped out of it.
"Was that really Tsunade?"
Naruto nodded. "Granny Tsunade really has become much younger, and a lot prettier too."
"It's hard to believe that beneath that beautiful exterior is an old lady in her fifties or sixties."
Jiraiya shook his head. "The village has changed so much. The people in it have changed a lot too."
A ripple stirred Jiraiya's once-calm heart.
In the Hokage Office, Tsunade entered with Shizune.
Yeyu, Kakashi, and Sakura looked up.
"Lady Tsunade."
"Master."
Sakura and Kakashi both greeted Tsunade when they saw her.
Tsunade simply nodded before looking at Yeyu.
She walked over to him. "Was the funding approved?"
Yeyu handed her a document from the side. "Spend it carefully. Your Medical Department is Konoha's biggest money pit."
Tsunade took the document, looked at Yeyu's signature on it, and smiled.
"I knew you would approve it."
Shizune was happy as well.
With the funding approved, she would have money for her experiments.
