After the Mummy Man was defeated, it was the turn of the winged devil to take the stage.
"Impressive. I never imagined there would be a powerhouse like you in the human world, but this is as far as you go. I am a devil from Hell, completely different from that piece of trash before! Don't think you can win as easily as you did just now!" Facing Zhang Wutian, the devil said with an evil grin.
Even if he couldn't match Zhang Wutian in hand-to-hand combat, the devil was full of confidence in his signature move.
"Completely different? Do you mean because you are of the devil race and he was of the undead race? I see. I should be able to use the Soul-Absorbing Sword to deal with you." Zhang Wutian fell into deep thought.
"Don't drag me into your Japanese RPG worldview! When I said different, I meant the gap in power!! You'll regret it if you underestimate me!!"
"It's all the same. There's no difference." Zhang Wutian said calmly.
"How dare you look down on a devil! Damn brat, let me show you the power of this move!!"
As he spoke, the devil placed his hands on either side of his head and struck a pose.
"Behold my Devil Beam...!!"
At that moment, Zhang Wutian's fist had already sunk deep into the devil's abdomen.
"Be... huh?"
Clutching his stomach, the devil staggered back two steps, then lost consciousness and collapsed to the ground, his eyes rolling back.
"Next." Zhang Wutian said.
"I didn't expect you to be this strong. My miscalculation; I was hoping to watch a good show." Fortuneteller Baba said expressionlessly. "Next is the final warrior. As long as you can defeat him, I will give you a free fortune-telling."
Following that, an old man wearing a fox mask stepped onto the stage.
Zhang Wutian, who knew the original plot, naturally knew the identity of this old man. He didn't rush to attack, but quietly watched him.
"I have a humble request." Pressing his palms together and bowing to Zhang Wutian, the old man spoke in a calm tone. "Although it may be inappropriate, would you allow me to have the next battle with that young girl over there?"
"That is not a humble request, but a very reasonable one." Zhang Wutian smiled. "However, you probably won't be able to beat her as you are now."
"Heh heh, if that is the case, I shall only feel relieved."
Zhang Wutian didn't spell it out, and the masked old man didn't say anything more either. Then, Zhang Wutian floated up and said to Son Wukong, "Switching out, Wukong."
"Are you tired, Zhang Wutian?"
"No, it's just that this old gentleman said he wanted to spar with a pretty young girl."
"Is he a pervert or something? Zhang Wutian, how could you let Wukong fight a guy like that?" Bulma said with dissatisfaction.
"Rest assured, I guarantee that guy isn't a pervert. There's a reason for doing this." Answering Bulma's doubt, Zhang Wutian turned to Son Wukong and said, "Go ahead, Wukong. Use your full strength and show him what you're capable of."
"Okay." Trusting Zhang Wutian's words completely, Son Wukong nodded and flew toward the Devil's Toilet.
"Wait a moment." The masked old man suddenly said. "Fortuneteller Baba, I have a request. I want to fight this child with no holds barred, but it is too cramped here. Could you let us fight on the arena outside?"
"Hmm, that can be done. Are you confident you can defeat this child?"
"Heh heh, I'm afraid it will be difficult, but I would like to try." Stroking his white beard beneath the mask, the masked old man said with a humble smile.
And so, the group moved back outside. Master Roshi, who was deep in thought, had already realized something. He looked at the back walking in front of him, paid special attention to the halo above his head, and then silently nodded.
Arriving at the outer arena, Son Wukong stood opposite the masked old man. After bowing to each other, the match officially began.
"Here I come!" Because she had listened to Zhang Wutian, Son Wukong intended to go all out from the start. She vanished instantly from the sight of everyone except Zhang Wutian and threw a punch.
The speed of that strike was no less than Zhang Wutian's, yet Wukong's fist was caught by the masked old man.
"He can see Wukong's movements?"
"Could that old man be a master as well?"
Krillin and Yamcha discussed it in hushed tones, while Master Roshi frowned once again. "What is going on? If it really is that person, he shouldn't have been able to catch Wukong's strike just now. Could I have been mistaken?"
"I see." Just as Master Roshi was lost in doubt, Zhang Wutian suddenly spoke. "He didn't track Wukong's movements; he relied on his familiarity with her to guess where she would attack and set up a defense in advance. As for the timing, he likely referenced my movements."
"Familiarity with Wukong? Wukong and you are the closest, right? Besides you, who else could do this to such an extent?" Krillin asked.
"No, even I couldn't do this. But in this world, there is actually one person who cares for and loves Wukong who could. He went to great lengths to be resurrected from the afterlife for one day, coming before us just to see his granddaughter once more."
On the arena, the masked old man was struggling to fend off every one of Son Wukong's attacks. Every time, it was as if Wukong were running into his guard, automatically delivering her attacks onto the old man's defenses. Even so, Son Wukong's attacks were not easy to receive; even while defending with all his might, the old man was forced back repeatedly by Son Wukong.
"You said... granddaughter?" Bulma said in surprise. "As far as I know, Wukong does have a grandfather, but he died a long time ago, didn't he?"
"He did die." Master Roshi spoke up. "Look at his head; there is still the halo that represents the dead. My sister can travel between the afterlife and the living world. If it is her, she should be able to bring a deceased person back to this world for a day."
"Th... that means..."
"That person should be Son Wukong's grandfather, my student Son Gohan!" Master Roshi stated his conclusion.
"To think such a thing could happen..." Everyone was a bit stunned, except for Zhang Wutian, who knew the plot.
"You knew he was Wukong's grandfather and still let Wukong attack him with full force? Did you do that on purpose?" Miss Bulma immediately linked it to Zhang Wutian's previous behavior. "You intentionally let Wukong attack her own grandfather with full force?"
"Only in this way can Wukong's strength be displayed before him, so he can rest easy."
"You guy, you really have a twisted sense of humor." Bulma looked at Zhang Wutian with disdain.
"Don't worry, Wukong isn't stupid. She's just honest, especially during a fight; her intuition is actually very sharp." Zhang Wutian said confidently. "Look, she has also sensed something; her movements have already slowed down."
"H... have they slowed down?" Bulma squinted her eyes and stared intensely at the arena, then asked uncertainly.
"Ah, I forgot, you're a mortal with a combat power of only 5, so of course you wouldn't be able to tell."
"You!! Yamcha, help me teach him a lesson!" Miss Bulma gritted her teeth and demanded her boyfriend take action.
"This... I really can't do that!!" Yamcha felt like he was going to cry.
