A man wreathed in golden flames stood in the sky. He placed the index and middle fingers of his left hand against his forehead and pointed his right hand downward. A colossal white Spirit Bomb, over a thousand meters across, pressed down on a pink-skinned monster.

"Ha!"

The man suddenly shouted, and a terrifying aura burst from him.

Majin Buu felt the pressure of the Spirit Bomb he was holding back with both hands suddenly intensify. Before he could react, the colossal Spirit Bomb crushed him to a pulp.

"There are only a few months left until the Gods and Gods storyline!"

Lei Chen looked up at Son Goku in the sky and gave a bitter smile. He had thought that having just attained Super Saiyan 2 would give him enough strength to protect himself.

But now? It wasn't just Son Goku. Lei Chen wasn't sure he could beat Vegeta, Son Gohan, or even Supreme Kai when fused with his bodyguard.

Lei Chen's current battle power was about the same as Son Gohan's when he first transformed into Super Saiyan 2 as a boy.

Lei Chen muttered to himself, looking toward the Lookout. His destination was the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

After going to great lengths to get on good terms with Son Goku, Lei Chen had finally managed to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

As far as Lei Chen was concerned, other people weren't easy to fool. Someone as simple and a little dim as Son Goku, the main character, was the easiest to approach. Of course, it also helped that Lei Chen hadn't killed many people. His aura was righteous, so the other Dragon Ball warriors didn't dislike him much.

Most importantly, plenty of people were stronger than Lei Chen. Even Piccolo, though not as strong as him, wasn't far behind.

"I've been in this world for over forty years. I thought that even if I couldn't match Son Goku's battle power, I'd at least be close to Vegeta's. I never expected so many people to be stronger than me. This is awkward."

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber's gravity was ten times that of the outside world. A person could enter it for only two years in their lifetime—that is, two days outside. In the story, Piccolo destroyed the Hyperbolic Time Chamber's exit and still managed to get out. So what if the chamber shut itself? It wouldn't matter.
