"Kamehameha!"

After kicking Lei Chen away, Son Goku followed up with a combo. He quickly brought his hands together in a flower-shaped cup, held them at his waist, and gathered a golden ball of energy between his palms. Then he thrust both hands toward Lei Chen.

As Lei Chen flew backward through the air, he felt the Kamehameha Son Goku had fired at him, packed with terrifying energy.

Lei Chen abruptly halted in midair. He opened his left hand, holding up a smooth little sphere in his palm. Red light flashed around it with a crackling boom.

The instant Lei Chen hurled the energy sphere, it swelled dramatically. The enormous, fearsome ball of light rushed toward Son Goku's Kamehameha.

"Boom! Boom!"

Vast, surging energies collided and exploded in midair, their dazzling light spreading across the entire planet.

"Damn, what incredible power!"

Vegeta muttered inwardly, forcing himself to hold his ground instead of retreating. His expression was grim.

"The power of Super Saiyan 4 is just too incredible!"

Son Goten said, his face full of shock.

The energy unleashed by the clash between Super Saiyan 4 at full power and the Semi-Finished Super Saiyan 4 God was simply too immense.

Boom! Boom!

The battlefield rang with repeated collisions, and a massive chasm had split open in the earth.

Clouds of dust billowed one after another as towering mountains crumbled.

In midair, two figures fought without pause, moving like phantoms.

They seemed evenly matched.

But Lei Chen knew that without Instant Transmission, he would have lost long ago. He also sensed that their apparent deadlock wouldn't last.

Lei Chen kept using Instant Transmission, and it was draining more of his energy than Son Goku's.

Besides, Son Goku still wasn't fighting at full strength. He was only matching Lei Chen's power, holding something back.

"Thud!"

Son Goku was forced back by one of Lei Chen's energy blasts. Just as he was about to charge at Lei Chen, he suddenly heard him say, "Wait, Kakarot!"

Son Goku froze and asked in confusion, "What is it, Lei Chen?"

"I'm done. You're a little stronger than me. If we keep going, you'll win anyway. Without Instant Transmission, I would've lost already."

Lei Chen said it plainly. He wasn't as obsessed with winning as other Saiyans. He might enjoy fighting, but he didn't pick fights for no reason.

He'd finally managed to transform into Super Saiyan 4. If he reverted right after this battle with Son Goku, wouldn't all that effort have been for nothing?

His transformation into Super Saiyan 4 had been a complete accident. He'd originally thought it would be enough just to increase his energy.

Lei Chen had Senzu Beans, so as long as he was careful, he had no reason to fear Baby killing him.

Son Goku could transform into Super Saiyan 4 because he had more than enough power. Lei Chen, on the other hand, didn't even have two trillion units of power. So he wanted to study whether he could transform using the energy of Super Saiyan God without Super Blutz Waves Light.

Lei Chen took out three Senzu Beans. He ate one, gave one to Son Goku, and handed the last one to Vegeta.

After eating the Senzu Bean, Lei Chen said to Son Goku and Vegeta, "Kakarot, Vegeta, I want to study the energy of this state. If anything comes up, we can deal with it in a few days. I might be staying in this timeline for a while longer."
