Six Super Saiyan States

In a seemingly golden, boundless desert, Lei Chen stood atop a sand dune, looking out over a vast, sloping terrain.

It had been two days since Son Goku killed Baby, and throughout this time, Lei Chen had maintained his Full Power Super Saiyan 4 state.

As for Full Power Super Saiyan 4, ordinary people could not approach someone in this state, or they would be burned to death.

In the original story, Son Goku and Baby in his Great Ape state fought until both were incapacitated and collapsed; Son Goku did not revert to his base form, which suggests that Super Saiyan 4 can be maintained for long periods, provided, of course, that the energy is not exhausted.

In Dragon Ball Super, Super Saiyan God could go toe-to-toe with Master Roshi and Krillin in a beam struggle, only to become irrelevant later on, with any newly introduced fighter able to match Super Saiyan Blue Goku; the concept of combat strength was gradually blurring, and the power levels had become somewhat chaotic.

However, Lei Chen felt that anime was just anime, and since he was now in a real world, Super Saiyan God did not necessarily go toe-to-toe with everyone as it did in the show.

Lei Chen could transform into both Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God; in his view, Super Saiyan God was like a mage—high attack power, but very fragile.

Super Saiyan 4, on the other hand, was like a bruiser-assassin, capable of both offense and defense.

Lei Chen took a deep breath, a flash of red light flickered, and he returned to his base form.

A golden light flashed across Lei Chen's body once more as he transformed into Super Saiyan 4. His entire body was covered in deep crimson fur, with black hair cascading down his back and over his shoulders.

This time, Lei Chen had transformed into a standard Super Saiyan 4; his hair was black, and his body fur was a deep red—a shade darker than Son Goku's, whereas Vegeta's was a dark crimson.

A terrifying aura swept across the entire desert, and with Lei Chen at the center, the sky instantly turned dim and dark.

Lei Chen's combat power in his standard Super Saiyan 4 state was only 24 trillion, far less terrifying than the 240 trillion of his Semi-Finished Super Saiyan 4 God state; after all, his base power was simply too low.

"Only 24 trillion in energy? It seems my strength is still too weak."

Lei Chen muttered to himself, then looked up at the sky. Perhaps others on this new Earth could not sense the changes in Hell, but Lei Chen, having reached the realm of gods, could feel that the shifts in Hell were significant.

It seems Super 17 will appear in a little over a month, Lei Chen thought to himself.
