Super 17 Saga

After Dr. Myuu died, he met Dr. Gero in Hell. The two created the Ultimate Android, Super 17, and opened a portal between Hell and Earth. Super 17 fused with Android 17, who was on Earth. The other Dragon Ball fighters were no match for him. Even Goku, transformed into Super Saiyan 4, was at a disadvantage. In the end, Android 18 distracted Android 17, and Goku defeated him with the Dragon Fist and Super Kamehameha.

Evil Dragon Saga

After the Super 17 Saga, Goku and the others planned to find the Dragon Balls and restore Earth, but this time they summoned the Evil Dragons instead. It turned out that the Dragon Balls had gone bad because they had been used too much ever since they were first created. Goku volunteered to defeat the seven Evil Dragons and restore Earth. After Omega Shenron was defeated, all the negative energy was purified. Shenron suddenly appeared after the battle and restored Earth before taking Goku away with him. The Dragon Balls would not appear again for nearly a hundred years!

Looks like I'll have to go to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber again.

Lei Chen thought to himself. Right now, he wanted to quickly increase his base power, and Saiyans improved most through training in battle.

Then Lei Chen suddenly thought of Vegeta.

Inside the Gravity Room, a fully enclosed space of about two hundred square meters, training machines lined the walls.

The lights inside were red. A screen displayed the number 1000, while a man nearing middle age trained with all his might.

The Gravity Room might have helped Saiyans make rapid progress early on, but for Vegeta, whose base power now exceeded ten billion, this level of gravity was nothing.

"Damn it, Kakarot! One day, I'll surpass you!"

Vegeta was drenched in sweat. It dripped all over the floor as he gritted his teeth and spoke.

Just then, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Whoa, 1000 times gravity?"

Lei Chen had barely appeared before he felt immense pressure bearing down on him. The force was so great that he almost collapsed to the ground.

"Gah!"

Lei Chen gritted his teeth and managed to resist the urge to transform into a Super Saiyan.

Vegeta was stunned. He hadn't expected Lei Chen to suddenly appear right in front of him, but Lei Chen had nearly embarrassed himself in front of him.

Vegeta's usually grim face finally broke into a slight smile. "You may be strong as a Super Saiyan 4, but I never thought you'd be so weak in your normal state."

"Come on, you've had ten more years to train than I have. You know that in my time, you weren't as strong as I was."

Lei Chen retorted.

Vegeta's face darkened. Even the version of himself from another world was weaker than this guy. The slight smile that had appeared on his face vanished, and it darkened once more.

"Tell me, why are you here?"

Vegeta's expression returned to its usual coolness as he asked Lei Chen coldly.

"Heh. How about training somewhere more effective? You know this training room won't make you any stronger in such a short time."

Lei Chen spoke to Vegeta.

"Where?"

A glimmer of excitement flashed in Vegeta's eyes. His expression brightened as he looked at Lei Chen.

"The Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Training together has to be better than training alone, right?"

Lei Chen smiled.

"Fine!"

Vegeta agreed.

Two more days passed.

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

"Strange. Why is your power so much weaker?"

Vegeta, in his Super Saiyan 2 form, looked at Lei Chen in confusion.

Lei Chen's power was still greater than his, but it was nowhere near as terrifying as it had been when he fought Super Saiyan 4 Goku. He was at least ten times weaker than before.
