"Though you're not the Super Saiyan God from my dream, your strength is quite impressive."
Beerus laughed. Even during his brief fight with Son Goku, he had sensed it.
Even transformed, Son Goku still wasn't the Super Saiyan God from his dream.
But Beerus hadn't fought anyone who could stand against him in a long time.
Now that he'd finally found someone, he couldn't let this opportunity pass.
"Let me show you why the God of Destruction is called the God of Destruction. The title is no empty boast."
Beerus raised his right hand. A massive amount of purple light gathered, forming a sphere.
The sphere was purple, and the sheer force radiating from it made the entire starry sky tremble!

The purple sphere shot forward in an instant, heading straight for Son Goku.
"I'll break it!"
Son Goku stared at the oncoming purple sphere and roared. He shot forward, reaching it in a flash.
Without hesitation, he raised his right hand and punched the sphere with all his might.
"Boom!"
Son Goku's fist collided with the purple sphere.
The instant they met, a storm of roaring force erupted. Wave after wave rippled outward, spreading across the universe.
Son Goku's body was hurled backward.
He didn't stop until he'd been driven back dozens of steps. After finally dispelling the force of the impact, he felt his entire right arm go numb, its sensation gone.
"What incredible power!"
Son Goku looked at Beerus, shock showing on his face.
"That's about all your strength amounts to."
Beerus shook his head and raised a finger. Dense purple light gathered in an instant.
It was all Beerus's power.
In other words, all that purple energy was the power of a God of Destruction.
Divine Power stood on a level far above ordinary power.
Though Son Goku now wielded Divine Power as well, unfortunately, he couldn't compare to Beerus.
"Now you've got no way to deal with this, do you?"
As soon as Beerus finished speaking, he crooked his finger slightly.
"Boom!"
The immense purple energy surged toward Son Goku.
It wasn't moving very fast. Beerus was clearly doing that on purpose.
"You can choose to dodge, but you should know that if you do, the Earth behind you might be completely destroyed by this energy."
Beerus spoke calmly, forcing Son Goku to make a choice as quickly as possible.
He acted as if destroying Earth were nothing more than a trivial matter.

Son Goku's resolve remained firm.

Son Goku gathered his greatest strength for his strongest attack. Red energy surged between his hands, quickly forming an astonishing blast.

As he spoke the final syllable, Son Goku thrust both hands forward. A massive Kamehameha burst out and collided head-on with Beerus's purple energy.
The roar echoed without end!
When the two immense forces collided, the entire starry sky trembled.
At the very instant of impact, the purple energy overwhelmed Son Goku's Kamehameha with unimaginable force and shattered it.
Then, with the Kamehameha destroyed, the purple energy engulfed Son Goku.
"Ah!"
A scream rang out.
Son Goku plunged toward the Earth.
Beerus's attack left him gravely wounded and unable to fight. His transformation faded, and he returned to his normal state.

Everyone watching on Earth was stunned. They could hardly accept what they were seeing.
