Cell looked at the battered Vegeta before him and said calmly, "When all's said and done, I still have to thank you. If not for you, I never would've managed to reach my Perfect Form!"

Vegeta glared at Cell, but he didn't blame himself for his decision.

He only complained inwardly about his own weakness. He couldn't even deal with a mere Cell.

Vegeta finally caught his breath and slowly rose into the air. "Looks like you have a lot of confidence in your strength!"

"Heh!" Cell chuckled softly and replied calmly, "I suppose so."

"Then try this move!" Vegeta shouted.

He suddenly spread his arms, golden light blazing around his body.

His energy continued to surge, and the air seemed to retreat from him.

In an instant, lightning enveloped his body. The edge of the island and the sea sank into a circular crater!

Vegeta brought his hands together and aimed at Cell. "This is my strongest attack. If you really are invincible, don't dodge. Try blocking it head-on!"

As he spoke, a sphere of dancing golden light appeared in his hands.

Crackling sounds filled the air.

"Such a childish attempt to provoke me." Cell laughed off Vegeta's words, but confident in his own strength, he replied, "Fine. Let's see everything you've got!"

Seeing the energy gathering around Vegeta, Trunks grew frantic. He hurriedly shouted up at the sky, "Stop, Father! You'll destroy the Earth!"

Vegeta was poised to attack, his mind consumed by the thought of defeating Cell. He couldn't hear a single sound around him.

Then, with the energy sphere in his hands fully charged, he roared, "Super Final Flash!"

"Whoosh!"

A massive golden beam erupted forth.

The moment the beam fired, the surrounding seawater instantly evaporated into steam.

Mountains and trees floated into the sky, as if gravity had suddenly reversed.

The instant they touched the beam, they vanished without a trace!

Cell saw the massive beam, his smile disappearing as his expression changed. "Oh no!"

He could tell the attack's power was beyond anything he could withstand.

If he took the attack head-on, he'd die for sure.

He began to dodge, throwing himself desperately to one side.

But the blast was far too fast. He couldn't evade it completely and could only watch as the beam struck him.

"Fwoosh!"

A vast expanse of golden light appeared across the Earth.

The enormous Ki Blast grazed the planet and shot off into space.

"Rumble!"

A muffled boom echoed through the pitch-black reaches of space.

Some unlucky planet had been hit by the attack.

After all, the attack was immensely powerful. It couldn't simply disappear on its own; it would only explode when it hit something.

Smoke billowed across the island. As time passed, it gradually began to thin.

More than half of Cell's body had been blown away, but he laughed wildly. "Hahaha! Good thing I dodged fast, or I'd really be done for!"

"Damn it!" Vegeta looked at his attack and felt a pang of regret that it hadn't finished Cell off.

As he watched, the other half of Cell's body grew back in an instant.

That had been extremely close. If he'd reacted any slower, he wouldn't have lost just half his body.

Still, the ordeal had helped his fighting power advance another step.

Now fuming with embarrassment, Vegeta gathered energy in both palms and unleashed it all at once!

"Rumble!"

Cell remained unfazed and charged straight through the blasts.

He punched Vegeta in the face, then spun around and kicked him, sending him soaring into the air.

With a quick flash, Cell appeared above him and struck him with an elbow, badly injuring Vegeta.

"Ah!"

Vegeta cried out and crashed to the ground.

The golden light vanished. His battered body lost its color, and he could no longer maintain his Super Saiyan form.

He had grown extremely weak, and his consciousness began to fade.

"Heh!" Cell sneered as he walked up to Vegeta.

He pointed one hand at him, ready to finish him off.

At last, Trunks could no longer hold back. A massive surge of energy erupted from him.

His hair stood on end, and his muscles swelled even more.

The clouds above turned into a vortex, spinning without pause.

Cell sensed the energy and hurriedly turned to look.

A flash of light flickered in Trunks's eyes as he stared coldly at Cell.

As he walked forward, he issued a threat. "Now it's my turn to destroy you!"

"Heh!" Cell sneered and strode forward without backing down. "You father and son are quite a pair. You both want to destroy me. Let's see what you can do!"

The two had drawn close enough to face each other, eyes locked.

Cell struck first, kicking straight at Trunks.

Trunks was ready and twisted away.

Cell immediately closed in and threw a flying roundhouse kick.

Trunks crouched and raised an arm, easily blocking the attack.

After testing each other with a couple of moves, both fighters suddenly vanished.

They reappeared in the sky and began attacking at incredible speed.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

The sky rang with the sound of muscles colliding, and the air grew several degrees hotter.

Suddenly, Trunks put more power into his punch and struck Cell in the abdomen.

Cell plummeted from the sky.

But before he could hit the ground, Trunks caught up with him in midair and drove a knee into him.

"Boom!"

Cell slammed into the ground, creating a sizable crater.

Trunks followed him down, landing slowly as he fixed a sharp gaze ahead.

"Rattle!"

Rocks shot skyward from the crater, and Cell rose with them. He was completely unharmed. Sneering, he said, "Not bad, not bad. You really are strong!"

Trunks showed no pride at the praise. Still cold, he replied, "The best is yet to come. Prepare to die!"

With that, he charged forward.

Cell grinned eerily and rushed to meet him.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

The two began trading blows nonstop.

In just one second, they had thrown hundreds of punches.

When they finally stopped, Trunks had caught both of Cell's hands.

He slammed Cell to the ground, golden light flaring in his hands.

"Whoosh!" "Boom!"

Trunks's attack pierced straight through the island and drove Cell into the depths of the sea.

But he didn't let his guard down, knowing an attack like that couldn't hurt Cell.

Sure enough, the next second, Cell shot up into the sky and said coolly, "Your strength is truly terrifying. In terms of power alone, you've already surpassed Vegeta. But you have one fatal weakness!"

After fighting him several times, Cell—whose battle intelligence surpassed Piccolo's—had keenly spotted the flaw in Trunks's current form!
