While Son Goku and Vegeta were locked in their duel, Son Goten and the others arrived before the final boss, Babidi.
"Hehehe, Buu will be out soon, and he'll be fully energized," Babidi said, a smug grin spreading across his lecherous, wrinkled face.
"Defeating you will put an end to this," Supreme Kai said, watching Babidi with a grave expression.
"Babidi-bu."
Babidi cast a spell, teleporting everyone in the control room—including the egg containing Majin Buu—outside.
"Well, Dabura? Do you have the confidence to defeat that Earthling?" Babidi asked, glancing at Son Gohan with a mocking smirk.
A sneer curled Dabura's lips. "Of course. We already crossed paths earlier; that piece of trash is someone I can finish off in an instant."
"Tuan."
"There's no need for that," Son Goten said coldly, transforming into a Super Saiyan and aiming both hands at the Majin Buu egg.
Babidi was horrified. "What are you doing?"
"Hah!" Son Goten fired a yellow energy wave from his hands, which streaked violently toward the Majin Buu egg. A thunderous, earth-shattering boom echoed across the landscape as a massive mushroom cloud slowly rose into the sky.
To avoid being caught in the blast, everyone immediately utilized the Flight Technique to retreat.
"Damn it, Goten! You could've warned me before unleashing a big move like that," Trunks complained, hovering in mid-air.
"..." Son Goten.
As the black smoke cleared, cracks began to appear on the Majin Buu egg, and pink mist hissed out from the fissures.
"Hahaha! Majin Buu is coming out!" Babidi laughed maniacally.
The egg split open completely. However, there wasn't a single hair inside.
Babidi: ...
Dabura: ...
Supreme Kai: ...
Son Gohan: ...
Trunks stared at the inside of the egg, confused. "Hey, I thought you said there was some 'Buu' in there? Where is he?"
What the hell? Master Buu, where are you? Come out and say something! Babidi's laughter died abruptly. Dammit, I went through all that trouble to collect energy for you, and you just up and vanished?
"Hahaha! Babidi, I suspect Majin Buu must have died after being sealed away for all those years!" Seeing that the Majin Buu who had terrified him (Supreme Kai: Terrified? I am the Supreme Kai!) hadn't appeared, Supreme Kai couldn't help but laugh triumphantly.
"Right, Gohan?" Supreme Kai turned to look at Son Gohan, only to find that Gohan and the others were staring intently at the space above the egg.
Elsewhere, Son Goku and Vegeta were fighting.
"Wait, Vegeta," Son Goku said, sensing something. He stopped and looked toward the location of Son Goten and the others with a serious expression. "There's a powerful ki over there."
"What?" Vegeta's brows furrowed; he had sensed it too.
"Supreme Kai, it's possible that Majin Buu hasn't disappeared," Son Gohan said earnestly.
"What?" Supreme Kai and Babidi were shocked, following Son Gohan's gaze to the space above the egg. The pink mist leaking from the shell hadn't dissipated.
The pink mist swirled together, emitting a "gurgling" sound. It solidified into a viscous, clay-like liquid, eventually forming the shape of a person.
The figure was a fat man. A small black vest barely covered his portly frame, and he wore white pants held up by a belt with an "M" on the buckle. A pinkish-purple cape fluttered in the wind, and he wore yellow gloves. On top of his head was a tentacle-like appendage, and his head was dotted with small holes near the tentacle. He squinted his small eyes and wore a constant smile.
"Buu? Are you really Buu?" Babidi asked joyfully.
"Who are you? Do you have anything to eat? I want chocolate," Buu tilted his head, looking like a child asking for candy.
"Well, I have some chocolate. Do you want it?" Son Goten asked, pulling a few unopened chocolate bars from his pocket. (Seriously, where did you get those?)
"Okay! You're a good person," Buu said, happily accepting the chocolate from Son Goten and handing him a "good person" card.
Son Goten's mouth twitched. I just got handed a 'good person' card? At least it wasn't a girl who gave it to me.
Watching Buu eat the chocolate with a look of pure bliss, everyone else was left speechless.
"Buu, stop eating! Kill those guys for me!" Babidi shouted, pointing at Son Goten and the three behind him.
Buu looked at Babidi, then at the people Babidi was pointing at, and flatly refused. "No."
Babidi was about to lose his mind. I'm the one who set you free! How can you side with outsiders? You were bought off with a few pieces of chocolate!
Son Goten wiped sweat from his brow. Thank goodness I remember the original story. This Fat Buu possesses the kindness of the Grand King Kai he absorbed; you just have to coax him like a child.
"Damn it, Buu! If you don't do it, I'll seal you away again!" Babidi threatened in a fit of rage.
"BOOM."
"You're noisy," Son Goten said, staring coldly at Babidi. A massive crater was still smoking in front of Babidi.
Cold sweat poured down Babidi's face, though he wouldn't dare actually try to seal Majin Buu. Even if Dabura was tough, Son Gohan and Son Goten working together could absolutely beat the crap out of him. As for Babidi himself, Supreme Kai could kill him in a second; his magic was powerful, but his actual combat strength was probably worse than an average Earthling's.
"Buu, do you want some more candy? Let's ignore those two idiots," Son Goten said, pulling more candy from his pocket to lure him.
Everyone was stunned. Holy crap, Buu, you're actually going over there?
Babidi wept internally. Oh, my Buu, come back! Don't go off with the creepy stranger!
