Allen attended the Wizengamot trial of Barty Crouch and helped secure early release for him and most of the other surrendered escapees. After Albert told him that Abraxas Malfoy was near death, Voldemort raged at his followers over their repeated failures, including two wizards killed with a pencil.

- Amelia Bones supported early release for Crouch, and Allen raised his hand, prompting enough other members to do the same for a majority vote.
