Kangetsu manipulated Konoha’s factions and Naruto and Sasuke’s growing hatred as the Uchiha Clan rebelled and was destroyed. He then strengthened his forces, prepared for Kaguya’s return, and tasked Orochimaru with turning Sasuke against Konoha and preparing the Konoha Crush.

• Minato rescued Konoha from Obito’s attack, but used the Reaper Death Seal to seal the Nine-Tails inside Naruto, and Yukimi died after asking Hiruzen to protect the child.
• Minato survived through Izanagi and became Kangetsu’s disciple, while Kangetsu threatened the Blood Ninja Village’s leaders and Minato took the position of Third Blood Kage.
• Kangetsu plotted to use Naruto and Sasuke, manipulated Hinata and Shisui, and ordered Iruka to give Naruto warmth while he prepared the Uchiha Clan massacre.
• Shisui revealed Danzo’s plan to destroy the Uchiha and gave Itachi his remaining eye before confronting Danzo, while Itachi fought Root and Kangetsu intervened when Hiruzen sent for Sasuke.
• The Uchiha awakened their Sharingan and attacked Konoha, and Kangetsu healed Itachi before White Zetsu’s clones collected Sharingan and killed survivors.
• Kangetsu rallied his followers and reorganized the Blood Ninja Village, then visited Kurama and praised his newly developed chakra.
• Naruto’s hatred erupted after Mizuki turned him against Iruka, and Naruto killed the pursuing ninja with Nine-Tails chakra before an Anbu member sealed that chakra.
• Kangetsu gave Orochimaru a scroll and ordered him to make Sasuke crave power, betray Konoha, and train for three years, while Orochimaru began preparing the Konoha Crush.

Kangetsu steered Naruto and Sasuke toward greater strength as they faced Orochimaru and competed in the Chunin Ninja Exams. The invasion of Konoha toppled its leadership and left White Fang in charge, while Kangetsu set the next stage of his plans in motion and Tsunade agreed to help Itachi.

• Kangetsu recognized Kushina as Mito’s new Uzumaki disciple and arranged for Jiraiya to train Naruto and Orochimaru to train Sasuke.
• Naruto and Sasuke fought Orochimaru, who placed curse marks on both of them, before Kangetsu helped awaken Naruto’s Uchiha bloodline and strengthen Sasuke’s seal.
• The Chunin Ninja Exams showcased Hayate, Ye Qin, Naruto, Sasuke, Hinata, and other contestants, while Naruto revealed that he was Minato Namikaze’s son.
• Kangetsu confronted the bound Hashirama and taunted him with revelations about Zixin, Konoha, and the Senju Clan, as Jiraiya later vowed to protect Naruto from Hiruzen.
• Kangetsu launched an attack on Konoha during the exams, and Naruto, Jiraiya, White Fang, and their allies turned against the village’s leadership.

Kangetsu revived Itachi and set his plans for the Ten-Tails and the destruction of the Land of Fire in motion as Nagato destroyed Konoha and the Fourth Shinobi World War began. The Five Kage formed an alliance, while Naruto and Sasuke joined forces against Obito and the transformed tailed beasts.

• Itachi defeated Orochimaru’s attack, then died after touching Sasuke’s forehead, and Kangetsu later revived him with new powers.
• Kangetsu ordered the Crimson Empire to devastate the Land of Fire and gathered blood to nourish the Ten-Tails while preparing for war.
• Nagato destroyed Konoha with Super Shinra Tensei, and Naruto fought the Six Paths before Kangetsu intervened and changed Nagato’s eyes.
• Kangetsu revived Izuna, who agreed to wait for Madara’s resurrection, while the Five Kage gathered to discuss Akatsuki and the Crimson Empire.
• Obito and Kisame targeted Bee, but the Five Kage arrived before Obito used the Demonic Statue to begin sealing the Eight-Tails.
• Obito declared the Fourth Shinobi World War and announced his plan to use Infinite Tsukuyomi, while the Five Great Shinobi Villages agreed to unite their forces.
