Chapter Fifteen: Making a Move

As Kast flared his energy, the detectors on Ginyu's ship picked up the signal.

"Oh, he finally couldn't hold back anymore and revealed himself. Hmm, is it out of sympathy for this planet, or is this guy just afraid?"

Regardless of the reason, for Ginyu, as long as the goal of drawing Kast out was achieved, it didn't matter.

"Hmm. This is a real talent, worth me, Lord Ginyu, recruiting personally."

With that, Ginyu stood up from his command chair and instructed his subordinates.

"Hey, you lot watch the ship. I'll be back in a moment."

If Lord Frieza knew I had recruited such a talent, he would surely be very pleased.

Imagining himself recruiting Kast and bringing him before Lord Frieza, Ginyu felt a surge of pleasure and excitement.

Carrying that excitement, Ginyu flew out of the spaceship and waited silently in mid-air.

He found me.

Looking at the figure in the distance, Kast understood from the intensity of his battle power that this was Ginyu. Based on his position, he also realized that Ginyu had been waiting specifically for him in this spot.

Driven by curiosity, Kast quickly flew up to Ginyu and studied him closely.

From the original story, Kast knew Ginyu's appearance and abilities. In the original, Ginyu was the captain of the Ginyu Force; his body was light purple, he had two black horns on his head, and visible veins on his forehead.

Furthermore, during the battle on Namek in the original story, Ginyu demonstrated the ability to levitate the giant Dragon Balls, suggesting he, like Frieza, possessed telekinetic powers.

Beyond telekinesis, Kast also knew of another ability Ginyu possessed: the technique known as Body Change, which allowed him to swap bodies with others.

This skill was incredibly twisted; one careless mistake could lead to being swapped, just like Son Goku in the original story.

If it weren't for the fact that Ginyu couldn't utilize the Kaioken after swapping into Son Goku's body—leading to him being beaten by Vegeta—and then failing to swap with Vegeta because Goku intervened with a frog, Ginyu's scheme might have succeeded, and it would have been Son Goku and his friends who were killed.

However, while Body Change was powerful, it had a fatal flaw: one had to shout "Change" to execute the technique.

Kast also had a hunch that this skill likely couldn't be used on beings whose power far exceeded the user's.

Otherwise, Ginyu could have simply swapped bodies with Frieza.

Moreover, because he relied on swapping bodies with elite warriors across the universe, the current Ginyu was not in his original form; only a few knew what he truly looked like.

Just like in the original, Ginyu had a purple body, a pair of black horns, and veins bulging on his forehead. Although he hadn't revealed his abilities yet, Kast suspected they would be the same.

Like Kast, Ginyu was also observing him closely.

"I never imagined this guy would be such a brat."

In Ginyu's estimation, someone with a battle power of 30,000 and such mysterious abilities would at least be an adult from an unknown race, yet what appeared before him was a child of about seven or eight years old.

"Hmm? And a Saiyan at that." Seeing the tail wrapped around Kast's waist, Ginyu was instantly intrigued.

"Kid, are you really a Saiyan? There has never been a Saiyan with such immense power at your age. You aren't some other race transformed, are you?"

Ginyu asked, looking at Kast with suspicion.

Kast, however, did not answer his question, but instead asked:

"Ginyu, why are you so persistent in hunting me down?"

"Oh! You even know who I am? That makes me even more interested in you."

Hearing Kast call his name, Ginyu couldn't help but smile.

"Since you know who I am, that makes things easier. I don't care who you are—whether you're a Saiyan or some other race—I am very interested in that ability you have to hide your energy."

Ginyu paused for a moment before continuing.

"How about it, kid? Any interest in joining my squad? With your talent and battle power, as long as you are willing to submit to Lord Frieza, even if you are a Saiyan, I imagine Lord Frieza will give you a chance. If I put in a good word for you and make you my deputy, you'll have endless wealth and power."

Thinking that Saiyans were already working for Lord Frieza, and now being offered even better treatment, Ginyu was full of confidence that Kast would surely agree.

However, Ginyu was disappointed; Kast did not respond immediately, but instead fell into deep thought.

From those words, Kast realized that it was his own fault for hiding his energy when he first noticed Ginyu, which had attracted his attention.

To think it was my own doing.

Frowning, Kast sighed helplessly.

"Sorry, I have no interest in that. Could you just pretend you never saw me, and I never saw you, and we go our separate ways?" Although the possibility was near zero, Kast still asked tentatively.

As expected, upon hearing Kast's reply, Ginyu's confident, smiling face instantly darkened.

"Brat, you dare to snub Lord Ginyu's invitation? It looks like you don't want to live anymore!"

As he spoke, Ginyu gathered a purple energy ball in his right hand.

"I'll ask you one more time: do you accept my invitation? If not, then turn into cosmic dust along with this planet!"

"It was unavoidable after all."

Listening to Ginyu's response, Kast sighed helplessly.

"Looks like I have to end this quickly!"

After speaking, Kast instantly appeared before Ginyu, extending his right hand to press his palm, which was gathering a ki blast, directly against Ginyu's abdomen.

"What! This! How is this possible!" Before he could even react, Ginyu only saw Kast vanish from his sight, only to reappear right in front of him.

"Wait... wait!" Looking at the energy sphere pressed against his stomach, Ginyu prepared to say something, but it was already too late.

"Bang!"

As Kast pressed the energy sphere into Ginyu's abdomen, Ginyu clearly felt the armor at the point of contact instantly disintegrate, vaporizing into gas under the intense heat. This was accompanied by a violent, searing pain as his skin and muscles were torn open, followed by the energy sphere transforming into a white beam of ki that pierced through his body and shot out the other side.

"Ho, how is this possible! I..."
