After leaving, Goku returned to the Lookout. As soon as he appeared, he said to Dende, "Dende, I want to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber too!"
Dende was surprised to hear this. "But Luya is still inside."
Goku smiled. "It's fine, it's fine. Two people can enter the Time Chamber at once, and you upgraded it, didn't you? Besides, I want to train with Luya, too!"
Dende thought it over, then quickly nodded. "All right. I'll have Mr. Popo take you there."
Goku smiled. "Thanks!"
Before long, Goku entered the Time Chamber as well. The moment he stepped inside, he sensed an incredibly powerful ki!
Sensing that power, Goku was excited. "Wow! As expected of a Saiyan! His strength is increasing at an incredible rate! If he joined us in the Tournament of Power, he'd be a huge help!"
With that thought, Goku headed outside.
At that moment, Luya was training. He leaped into the air, punching and kicking at empty space with such speed that he was impossible to follow!
Whoosh!
Luya's fist struck the air in front of him. His body paused, and then he looked toward Goku.
"Hey, Luya!" Goku said with a smile when he saw Luya had noticed him.
Luya smiled faintly. He seemed to have already guessed that Goku had come to see him, so he wasn't surprised.
He landed and walked over to Goku. "Mr. Goku, what brings you here?"
Goku laughed, then said, "Dende told me you seemed to know I was coming to see you. How did you manage that?"
Luya thought to himself, Damn it! I've studied the Dragon Ball series inside and out. How could I not know what's going on?
Aside from Goku and Vegeta, he was now the strongest fighter on Earth! So, if Earth was in danger, Goku would definitely think of him!
But Luya hadn't counted on Goku's one-track mind nearly making him forget he existed. If Dende hadn't found him in time, Goku would've sent Krillin instead!
Goku nodded thoughtfully. "I see..."
"By the way, I came to invite you to join the Martial Arts Tournament!" Goku said with a smile.
Luya was slightly taken aback—but of course, he was just pretending. He had to act surprised! Otherwise, if he seemed to know everything, people might get suspicious.
"What do you mean?"
Goku laughed and explained the existence of Universe 6 and Universe 7. He also told Luya how many universes there were and explained the agreement between Universe 6 and Universe 7.
"By the way, Luya, are you a Saiyan from Universe 6?" Goku suddenly asked, as if he'd just thought of something.
Luya paused, then looked at Goku.
Goku was looking at him, too.
"No!"
After a moment's silence, Luya shook his head. "I'm not from Universe 6!"
Goku smiled faintly. "Got it. So, I'm inviting you to join us in the Martial Arts Tournament. Do you accept?"
Luya nodded without hesitation. "I accept!"
Damn it! Only a fool would hesitate! He had a mission to complete, and pretending to be modest would be pointless—like taking off your pants to fart!
"Great! Welcome to the team!" Goku held out his hand to Luya.
Luya smiled faintly and shook his hand.
"Why don't you train with me from now on? Training alone gets a little lonely," Goku suddenly suggested.
Luya nodded. "That's just what I wanted!"
So Goku and Luya trained like mad inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, sparring every day and rapidly growing stronger!
Three years passed inside while only three days passed outside. They trained like that for three years!
Vegeta wasn't about to fall behind, either. He trained in the Gravity Chamber aboard the Space Capsule. After Bulma upgraded it, the chamber's performance kept improving. Beerus and Whis had also moved into the Space Capsule. It was undoubtedly a place that suited their appetites: as long as Bulma was around, they could enjoy all kinds of delicious food!
They couldn't help it. As gods, they didn't have anything like money! And Bulma was practically a rich heiress!
When Vegeta learned that Goku had entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train, he flew into a rage and shouted that Goku was playing dirty by thinking of training in the Time Chamber! In the end, he dropped his pride, went straight to Whis, and asked him to teach him how to train.
Tempted by the food, Whis had no choice but to train Vegeta.
Their training continued. In five days, the agreed-upon date with Universe 6 would arrive.
Three days later.
Boom!!
The door to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber at the Lookout opened, and two figures immediately tumbled out. They were Goku and Luya.
"Goku! Mr. Luya!" Dende hurried over, worried.
Goku laughed. "Sorry, we got a little carried away with our training and nearly ran out of time!"
Luya brushed the dust off himself, then said, "The Time Chamber is great, though. It'd be even better if we could modify it so there was no time limit!"
Then they could train inside it forever, basically cheating—one day of training would be equivalent to a whole year!
At that rate, wouldn't surpassing the God of Destruction be a piece of cake?
Dende shook his head. "That won't work. If we tamper with time carelessly, we'll disrupt the order of this timeline. The whole Earth could end up suffering the consequences—and Lord Beerus might even destroy it!"
Luya: "..."
"It's fine. I'd rather fight strong opponents and grow stronger by facing them. That's what real strength is!" Goku laughed.
Dende suddenly smiled. "Goku, Mr. Luya, I'll get you some clothes."
After their "three years" of training, both of them had grown more mature, especially Luya. He'd looked like a boy before, but now he was a young man!
Goku declined, though. He was used to wearing his martial arts uniform. Luya didn't mind, since he was only wearing casual clothes. Dende made him a set of green, tight-fitting Battle Suit!
After getting dressed, Goku looked at Luya. "Come on. Let's go see Lord Beerus, and I'll introduce you to him, too!"
Luya nodded. He wanted to meet Beerus as well. Would that cat-like being attack him?
Whoosh!
Goku took Luya with him, and after saying goodbye to Dende, they left the Lookout!
The Space Capsule.
Goku and Luya appeared in the training area.
"Oh? Vegeta! Didn't you say you wouldn't train with Whis? You cheated!" Goku had just appeared when he saw Vegeta sparring with Whis, and he immediately complained.
As if sensing Goku's arrival, Vegeta and Whis stopped. Vegeta's expression was cold. "Hmph! And you didn't cheat? Don't think I don't know you used the Hyperbolic Time Chamber!!"
