Cosmic Power! Beerus, Angel Combat Power

"Hahaha! Sorry, sorry! I didn't think about that; I was just so eager to spar with Luya that I went to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber!" Goku gave an awkward laugh, then spread his hands. "So, let's call it even!"

"Hmph!" Vegeta didn't bicker with him, turning his gaze toward Luya instead.

Luya glanced back at him and gave a slight nod. "Hello, Vegeta."

Vegeta's mouth twitched. He closed his eyes and said coolly, "Luya, is it? I hope you don't disgrace the Saiyans! Go and crush Universe 6!"

Luya grinned. "Of course!"

"So you're the Saiyan Goku was talking about?" Beerus walked over at that moment and asked.

Luya nodded. "That's me!"

Beerus narrowed his eyes. "Which universe are you from, exactly? Why can't I sense your Cosmic Power?"

"Cosmic Power? What's that?" Luya asked, puzzled.

System: "Host, let me explain. Cosmic Power, also known as the power of the universe, is a special energy present from birth in this universe. It acts like an ID card, proving you were born here!"

Luya understood a little, asking in his mind: So, what's the use of this Cosmic Power?

System: "Cosmic Power and Destruction Power share the same origin. The administrator of this universe is the God of Destruction, who wields Destruction Power—the natural nemesis of Cosmic Power. Both are incredibly volatile. If you are from this universe, you possess Cosmic Power and are under the jurisdiction of the God of Destruction. If you commit a crime, you will be destroyed! Destruction works by detonating the Cosmic Power within a living being to erase them."

Luya was confused. "Does everyone have it?"

System: "Everything in the universe does! Microbes, animals, people, plants, planets, galaxies, the entire universe—all of it!"

Luya nodded slightly. So that was it. No wonder he thought the God of Destruction was so overpowered; if everyone was just training their ki, why was the gap so massive?

"Of course, if someone's power is strong enough to rival a God of Destruction, they can avoid being destroyed, or even kill a god! But since you don't have this universe's Cosmic Power, Beerus is targeting you," the system said flatly.

Luya nodded.

"You don't need to know what Cosmic Power is. Just tell me who you are!" Beerus realized he'd said too much and quickly changed the subject, his tone cold.

Luya smiled slightly. "I'm nobody. I'm just a Saiyan. Who I am doesn't matter; what matters is that I won't do anything to threaten this universe! Isn't that right?"

Beerus stared intently at Luya, and Luya stared right back, refusing to back down.

Goku and Vegeta watched, stunned. This Luya guy was something else! He actually dared to talk back to Lord Beerus!

Impressive!

Beerus let out a cold snort. "I don't care where you're from, but if I find out you're doing anything out of line, I will destroy you myself!"

As he spoke, he extended his palm toward Luya, purple Destruction Power swirling around it.

"Lord Beerus..." Goku's expression changed, his words catching in his throat.

Whis watched the scene with a faint smile, though he made no move to intervene.

Luya wasn't afraid in the slightest. He didn't believe the god would actually strike, and he knew Beerus assumed he didn't know that without Cosmic Power, he couldn't be destroyed.

Luya smiled slightly. "Lord Beerus, you claim to hold reverence for all things and demand that mortals show reverence to gods. I don't believe I've done anything to you, have I?"

Beerus paused, then said coolly, "But you're being quite arrogant! You don't seem to have the proper reverence for me!"

Luya replied calmly, "I'd say that's because you've got a Hakai Energy Sphere shoved in my face. Do you expect me to speak to you humbly?"

Beerus looked at Luya with growing displeasure. This guy was just like Goku—lacking reverence for gods. But Goku was a simpleton; this Saiyan, however, truly didn't fear him!

Why? Did he know that without Cosmic Power, his Destruction energy wouldn't work on him? No, that wasn't it—the guy didn't even know what Cosmic Power was! Was he just bold?

"Hey! Lord Beerus! Luya is the contestant I brought, don't scare him off!" Goku suddenly interjected.

"Yes, Lord Beerus. Luya might be a bit arrogant, but he doesn't know your nature. Please don't take it to heart," Vegeta added, worried that Beerus would throw a tantrum like the first time he visited. He couldn't afford to have the Earth destroyed!

If Beerus got angry again, the Earth would be in real danger!

"Hmph!" Beerus snorted and turned away. "I don't care about you lot, but you must win against Universe 6. If you lose the Earth, I'll destroy you all!"

"Haha! Don't worry, Lord Beerus, we won't lose!" Goku laughed, trying to lighten the mood.

"There is one day left until the tournament. Are you prepared?" Whis asked suddenly.

Goku nodded. "We've trained sufficiently. We're ready!"

Luya and Vegeta nodded as well.

Luya glanced at Whis and Beerus, then decided to use the system to scan their strength.

He was a bit nervous, wondering if the system would glitch and fail to detect the strength of a God of Destruction.

Luya focused his mind.

[Beep! Detected: God of Destruction Beerus's combat power has reached the peak of Tier 1 Angel level!]

[Beep! Detected: Whis's combat power has reached Tier 2 Angel level!]

Luya was stunned. "Angel? What kind of strength is that?"

The system explained: "Host, you are still very far from Tier 1 Angel level. Keep working hard!"

Luya was baffled. "That's all you're going to say?"

Still, he knew Beerus was a monster! He had originally thought that Goku and Vegeta reaching Super Saiyan Blue meant they were very close to the God of Destruction level, but it seemed that wasn't the case. No matter how strong Goku and Vegeta were in Super Saiyan Blue, they were likely under 20 trillion. They were still a long way from the power of a God of Destruction!

This left Luya with more questions. In his original world, fans always said Beerus was among the top-ranked Gods of Destruction. He wondered how the others compared—they were definitely Tier 1 Angel level, but he didn't know their exact combat power!

And Beerus was at the peak of Tier 1!
