"Hahaha! Sorry, sorry! I wasn't thinking. I just wanted so badly to spar with Luya that I went to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber!" Goku chuckled awkwardly, then spread his hands. "So we're even now, right?"
"Hmph!" Vegeta didn't argue with him. Instead, he looked at Luya.
Luya glanced at him too and nodded slightly. "Hello, Vegeta."
Vegeta's mouth twitched. Then he closed his eyes and said calmly, "So you're Luya. I hope you don't disgrace the Saiyans! Beat Universe 6 into the ground!"
Luya grinned. "Of course!"
"So you're the Saiyan Goku told me about?" Beerus came over and asked.
Luya nodded. "That's me!"
Beerus narrowed his eyes slightly. "Which universe are you from, exactly? Why can't I sense your Cosmic Power?"
"Cosmic Power? What's that?" Luya asked, confused.
The system explained, "Host, let me tell you. Cosmic Power, also known as Universal Power, is a special force that everyone born in this universe possesses. It's like your ID card, proving that you were born in this universe!"
Luya understood a little. He asked in his mind, What use is this Universal Power?
The system replied, "Universal Power and Destruction Power share the same origin. The God of Destruction manages this universe, and the God of Destruction possesses Destruction Power. This power is the nemesis of Cosmic Power. Both forces are extremely violent. As long as you're from this universe, you have Cosmic Power within you and are under the God of Destruction's authority. If you commit a crime, you'll be destroyed! Destruction works by detonating the Cosmic Power within a living being, then erasing them!"
Luya was puzzled. "Does everyone have it?"
The system replied, "Everything in the universe has it! Microorganisms, animals, people, plants, planets, star clusters, galaxies—even the entire universe!"
Luya nodded slightly. So that was why. No wonder he'd thought the God of Destruction was so powerful. Weren't they all just cultivating ki? Why was the difference between them so huge?
"Of course, if someone's power is strong enough to stand against a God of Destruction, they can avoid being destroyed—and might even kill a god! You don't have this universe's Cosmic Power inside you, Host, which is why Beerus is deliberately targeting you," the system said calmly.
Luya nodded.
"You don't need to know what Cosmic Power is. Just tell me who you are!" Beerus realized he'd let something slip, quickly corrected himself, and spoke in a cool tone.
Luya smiled faintly. "I'm nobody. I'm just a Saiyan. Who I am doesn't matter. What matters is that I won't do anything that threatens this universe. Isn't that right?"
Beerus stared at Luya, who met his gaze without backing down.
Goku and Vegeta watched, stunned. Luya was pretty impressive! He actually dared to talk back to Lord Beerus!

Beerus snorted. "I don't care where you came from, but if I find out you've done anything out of line, I'll destroy you myself!"
As he spoke, he held out his hand toward Luya, purple Destruction Power swirling around his palm!
"Lord Beerus..." Goku's expression changed. He started to speak, then stopped.
Whis watched with a hint of amusement, but didn't intervene.
Luya wasn't the least bit afraid. He didn't believe Beerus would dare attack him. Besides, he knew Beerus thought he didn't realize that without Cosmic Power, the Hakai Energy Sphere wouldn't work on him!
Luya smiled faintly. "Lord Beerus, God of Destruction, you claim to hold all things in reverence, and you demand that both humans and gods show reverence. I don't believe I've done anything to you, have I?"
Beerus was taken aback. Then he said calmly, "But you're acting rather arrogant! You don't seem to show me the proper reverence!"
Luya replied coolly, "You've got a Hakai Energy Sphere pointed right at my face. Did you expect me to speak to you on my knees?"
Beerus looked at Luya, displeased. This guy really was just like Goku. Neither of them showed gods any reverence. But Goku was just simple-minded. This Saiyan, on the other hand, genuinely wasn't afraid of him, the God of Destruction!
Why? Did he know that without Cosmic Power, Beerus's Hakai Energy Sphere wouldn't do much to him? No! That couldn't be it. The guy didn't even know what Cosmic Power was! Or was this kid just getting too big for his boots?
"Hey, Lord Beerus! Luya's one of the fighters I recruited. Don't scare him away!" Goku suddenly said.
"That's right, Lord Beerus. Luya's a little arrogant, but he doesn't know who you are. Please don't hold it against him." Vegeta was also worried Beerus might fly into a rage like the first time he'd shown up. They couldn't afford to have him unleash his Destruction Power here!
And if they angered Beerus again, Earth would be in danger!
"Hmph!" Beerus snorted, then turned and walked away. "I don't care what you do. Just make sure you win this time against Universe 6. If you lose Earth, I'll destroy you!"
"Haha! Don't worry, Lord Beerus. We won't lose!" Goku laughed, easing the tension.
"The tournament is in one day. Are you ready?" Whis suddenly asked.
Goku nodded. "We've trained plenty. We're ready!"
Luya and Vegeta nodded too.
Luya glanced at Whis and Beerus, then used the system to check their power levels.
He was a little nervous, though. What if the system glitched and couldn't detect a God of Destruction's power?
The next instant, Luya focused his thoughts.
[Beep! Lord Beerus's battle power has reached the peak of the First-Tier Angel level!] [Beep! Whis's battle power has reached the Second-Tier Angel level!]
Hearing that, Luya froze. Then he asked, bewildered, "Angel? What kind of power level is that?"
The system explained, "Host, you're still a long way from the First-Tier Angel level. Keep working hard!"
Luya was baffled. "You won't even tell me?"
But he understood that Beerus was insanely powerful! He'd thought that once Goku and Vegeta reached Super Saiyan Blue, they'd be very close to a God of Destruction's level. But now it seemed that wasn't the case. Even if Goku and Vegeta were strong in Super Saiyan Blue, they were probably still below twenty trillion. They were nowhere near a God of Destruction's power!
That left Luya puzzled again. In his world, everyone online said Beerus was one of the strongest Gods of Destruction. He had no idea how strong the other Gods of Destruction were. They were definitely at the First-Tier Angel level, but he didn't know their exact battle powers!
And Beerus was at the very peak of the First-Tier Angel level!
