Hit's powerful attacks left Vegeta completely unable to fight back!
Everyone was breaking out in a cold sweat, especially the members of Universe 7. Super Saiyan Blue was the most powerful form they had ever seen! Aside from the Gods of Destruction, no one had ever managed to beat it. They never expected even Super Saiyan Blue to be no match for Hit. Just how powerful was he?
Goku asked Luya, "Can you see Hit's movements?"
Luya shook his head. "Not yet. But his attacks have already surpassed time!"
"Surpassed time?!" Goku asked, confused. It was clearly the first time he'd heard of that.
"Luya is right. Hit's power really has surpassed time! But it isn't a power he was born with; he developed it through training. It's one of his skills! Put simply, he can predict what his opponent will do 0.1 seconds later, then use time to slip into another parallel space. That's why Vegeta's attacks have no effect on him!" Whis suddenly explained.
Beerus glanced at Luya. "You sure know a lot."
Luya smiled faintly. "I'd say I'm just well-read."
Beerus: "..."
"Luya, since you know about his skill, can you figure out how to counter it?" Goku asked.
Luya thought for a moment, then looked at Goku. "Hit's attack is called Time Skip. Just before you hit him, he slips into another space. His body is still there in reality, but you can't touch him, while he can deliver a fatal blow to you the very next second! The only way to counter it is to predict his prediction!"
Goku fell silent.
Whis and Beerus exchanged a glance, both looking rather troubled. They'd realized that this guy named Luya was growing more and more mysterious. He even knew about Time Skip!
"Whis, could someone like him come from a civilization in our universe?" Beerus asked, puzzled.
Whis shook his head. "I'm not sure. Probably not, but I don't know where he came from, either!"
Beerus fell silent, then turned to Luya and narrowed his eyes.

In the ring, Vegeta was still struggling desperately. He'd put some distance between himself and Hit, whose attacks were simply too bizarre. Vegeta hadn't even seen him move! It was as if Hit had been standing right in front of him all along, and the figure in the distance was just an afterimage!

Goku's expression turned grave. He really hadn't expected Hit to have a trick like that!

Bulma hurriedly asked Krillin for a Senzu Bean and fed it to Vegeta.
After eating the Senzu Bean, Vegeta was back to full health. His expression was gloomy; he'd taken quite a blow to his pride!
Seeing this, Goku said, "All right, Vegeta. Hit really is powerful. Even I couldn't make out his movements!"
"Hmph! I won't lose to that guy!" Vegeta said coldly.
Goku laughed, then said, "All right, I'll take the next match!"
"What?" Vegeta froze, then looked at Goku. "Wasn't Luya supposed to go next?"
Luya shrugged.
Goku laughed. "We switched places. I want to fight Hit, too!"
Vegeta curled his lip. "Suit yourself."
Goku waved to everyone. "All right, I'm going!"
"Good luck, Goku!" Krillin and the others cheered him on.
Goku smiled faintly, then jumped into the ring.
On the other side, Hit also landed in the ring.
They stood several meters apart, staring at each other with serious expressions.
"Can Goku really do it?" Beerus asked, his expression complicated.
Whis, standing beside him, smiled easily. "If Goku loses, we still have Luya and the strongest man in the universe, Monaka. What's there to worry about, Lord Beerus?"
At that, Beerus's expression stiffened. He said awkwardly, "Actually, Monaka isn't a martial artist. He's just a deliveryman in the universe! I only said that to inspire Goku's fighting spirit. You know that, Whis!"
"Ho ho ho! Looks like you may have miscalculated, Lord Beerus! If Goku loses, I'm afraid no one in Universe 7 will be able to stop Hit!" Whis said gleefully.
