The terrifying energy blast was dazzling, tearing through space as it surged toward Hit!
Hit felt the sheer magnitude of Sun Wukong's technique and his expression shifted instantly. With a roar, he unleashed a purple wave of energy from his own palm!
The two beams collided with a thunderous boom!
"Aaaaaah..."
"Aaaaaah..."
Both Sun Wukong and Hit were pouring out every ounce of their strength, for they both understood that this was the only way to withstand the other's onslaught.
But it was clear that Sun Wukong held the upper hand; the massive energy blast slowly dissolved Hit's attack, closing in on him!
Sensing danger, Hit immediately activated his Time Skip, his figure vanishing in an instant!
"I've been waiting for you! There you are!" Sun Wukong roared, instantly using Instant Transmission to appear right in front of Hit!
"Haaa!!!" With a violent shout, the Kamehameha struck Hit head-on!
"Aaaaaah..." Hit struggled desperately to hold his ground, but he had been caught off guard and had completely underestimated his opponent's power!
Rumble!
Following Hit's final act of defiance, a massive explosion erupted in the air! The intense light engulfed the entire arena, blinding everyone and forcing the spectators to shield their eyes.
"Such immense power! I never imagined that brat Sun Wukong could push himself this far!" Piccolo's eyes were filled with unconcealable shock. He had started his journey alongside Sun Wukong, yet the man kept surpassing him time and time again.
In truth, aside from Vegeta, the eternal runner-up, Piccolo felt deeply frustrated as well. Before the Saiyans arrived on Earth, he could have claimed to be Sun Wukong's greatest rival. But ever since he encountered the Saiyans, he realized he had no chance of ever catching up.
After the Android incident, he stopped trying to chase them, knowing his own limits—he simply couldn't compete with these monstrous Saiyans.
Vegeta, of course, was different; he hungered to surpass Sun Wukong at every turn. But seeing his rival pull so far ahead now left him feeling incredibly bitter and frustrated.
"A true martial arts prodigy. Sun Wukong's strength is quite impressive, wouldn't you agree, Lord Beerus?" Whis chuckled, glancing at Beerus.
Beerus's mouth twitched slightly. "It's not bad, but for this brat to think he could use a move like that against me? That's a bit disrespectful!"
"Ho ho ho!" Whis just smiled and said nothing.
The smoke cleared, but the arena was now empty; both Sun Wukong and Hit had vanished.
"Eh? Where did contestant Sun Wukong and contestant Hit go?!" the referee shouted in surprise.
"Over there!" someone called out, and everyone turned to look in the same direction.
At the very top of the statues of Champa and Beerus stood two figures.
It was Sun Wukong and Hit.
Seeing that neither had fallen, the crowd erupted in a clamor. No one expected Hit to have dodged Sun Wukong's decisive Kamehameha.
Sun Wukong looked at Hit with a grave expression. "How could you possibly have dodged my Kamehameha?"
Hit gave a mysterious smile. "Thanks to you, I was able to push myself further at the critical moment, which allowed me to evade your attack."
As he spoke, he clenched his fist, his eyes flickering with hidden meaning.
Sun Wukong gritted his teeth. His body was already pushed beyond its limits; that last move had drained too much of his ki and stamina. His muscles were aching, and he could feel them twitching uncontrollably.
The sharp-eyed Champa noticed this and shouted excitedly, "Hey! This is it! Sun Wukong can't hold on much longer! Hit! Finish him off now!!"
The people of Universe 7 all wore heavy expressions.
Hit watched Sun Wukong. Though the Saiyan was struggling, he maintained his Kaioken, a defiant smile still on his face.
Suddenly, Hit smiled as well. "Sun Wukong, I must say, I truly admire you! In all these years, I have never met anyone like you."
Sun Wukong smiled back. "Same here. You're the first master I've encountered who is this powerful, aside from Lord Beerus!"
The two stared at each other from across the distance, smiles on their faces, sharing a moment of mutual respect.
In the next instant, both men flared their ki! A red aura and a purple one radiated immense power!
They took their stances, preparing to settle the score once and for all!
Suddenly!
Pfft!
Sun Wukong's muscles began to spasm violently. He couldn't even endure the pain, beads of sweat the size of beans rolling down his face as he gritted his teeth to hold on.
"This is bad! Sun Wukong is reaching his limit!" the Old Supreme Kai exclaimed, his expression changing instantly.
"Hang in there, Sun Wukong!!" Krillin shouted in encouragement.
The other companions joined in, cheering for him as well!
Beerus narrowed his eyes, watching the scene in silence.
"Perfect opportunity!! That's it! Hit! Don't get tangled up with Sun Wukong! Just stall for time! He'll collapse on his own!!" Champa shouted excitedly.
His words immediately drew glares of disgust from many, even from the contestants of Universe 6.
Cabba stood up directly and said to Champa, "Lord Champa, please do not interfere! Have some respect for the fairness of a martial artist!"
"Shut your mouth!!" Champa, unable to tolerate a mere brat defying him, glared at Cabba in a rage. "Boy, don't meddle in things that don't concern you!! You should know that you are nothing but my pawns!! Who cares if you live or die?!"
As he spoke, Champa reached out and held his hand in front of Cabba. "One more word out of you, and I will use Hakai to erase you right here!"
Cabba's face turned pale, and he retreated repeatedly!
At this moment, two sharp gazes were cast his way, carrying a bone-chilling coldness.
Champa was startled and instinctively took a step back. When he saw that it was the gazes of Goku and Hit, he became annoyed. Damn it! Am I really that cowardly? To be scared back by two mortals?
However, Goku and Hit paid no attention to Champa, instead locking eyes with each other.
"Let's continue!" Goku took a deep breath, forcibly suppressing the burden brought on by the Kaioken, and smiled.
Hit nodded, then used Time Skip to appear before Goku.
Goku did not strike.
The two looked at each other, then smiled simultaneously and reached out to lightly bump their fists together!
This was what it meant to meet as friends through martial arts!
Hit retreated and assumed a new combat stance. The next moment, he took the initiative, directly unleashing Time Skip to appear in front of Goku!
Too fast!
Goku couldn't react in time and was pummeled by Hit, crying out in agony!
"How is this possible?!" Krillin and the others couldn't believe their eyes.
Luya said in a deep voice, "Goku's stamina can no longer sustain the peak ten-fold Kaioken; he can't keep up with Hit's Time Skip anymore!"
Everyone's expression turned grim.
