It was Luya's turn to enter the ring.
Goku glanced at Luya, then frowned. "Luya probably isn't a match for Hit!"
"Hit used up a lot of energy fighting you, so there may still be a chance," Beerus said coolly.
Goku blinked, then raised an eyebrow and looked at Krillin. "Krillin, do you have any Senzu Beans left?"
The moment Goku said that, Krillin and the others' expressions changed!
"Goku! What are you thinking?!" Piccolo was so shocked his face turned green. Surely this guy wasn't planning to give Hit a Senzu Bean?
That was what everyone thought, because they all remembered the battle against Cell!
But Gohan had nearly choked on it! If he hadn't transformed into a Super Saiyan 2 in time, every Z Fighter there might have died!
Was this guy planning to do the same thing again?
Beerus sensed something was up and stared at Goku. "Hey! You're not thinking of giving Hit a Senzu Bean, are you?"
Knowing Goku's personality, he could absolutely see him doing that!
Goku gave an awkward laugh. "What's wrong with that? He used up a lot of energy fighting me, and besides, we still have Monaka as our trump card!"
At that, Beerus panicked and immediately punched Goku on the head. "Idiot!! How could you think that?!"
The corners of everyone else's mouths twitched. Most of them knew the truth about Monaka. Only Goku was still in the dark, thinking Monaka was an incredibly powerful fighter!
Goku clutched his head in pain and grumbled, "Lord Beerus! Why'd you hit me?!"
Beerus clenched his fist in anger. "Tell me, are you trying to make Luya lose this match so Monaka can enter the ring?"
Goku laughed. "Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking!"
Beerus: "..."
"Goku, don't be ridiculous!" Whis suddenly spoke up. He was speechless at his master. Of all the things he could have done, he'd brought Monaka here. And this was the first time Whis had seen Lord Beerus so beside himself with anger!
Goku looked at Whis.
Whis thought for a moment, then said, "Monaka can't fight right now, and this match is no game. You know what'll happen if we lose!"
"Huh? Why can't he fight?" Goku asked, then looked at Monaka and started walking toward him.
Beerus hurriedly stopped him. "Hey! What are you doing?"
Goku looked puzzled. "I'm going to talk to Monaka!"
Beerus said coolly, "No! You can't go near Monaka right now!"
"Why? Huh? Why isn't he moving?" Goku walked around Beerus and looked at Monaka.
"Heh heh, that's because Monaka has been unconscious ever since he saw the Turtle School Divine Technique earlier," Whis said in a low voice.
Beerus panicked, then hurriedly blurted out, "I said no, and that's final!"
Goku narrowed his eyes. Something about this seemed strange, but he couldn't put his finger on what was wrong.
Just as they were about to be found out, inspiration struck Beerus. He said coolly, "Monaka is currently undergoing mental unification. He can't be disturbed, or the consequences will be dire! There was once a planet that was destroyed because of Monaka!"
Goku was startled. "Really?! Wow!"
He could destroy a planet just like that! He really was an incredible fighter!
Beerus seized the opportunity to add, "So he can't fight right now. Being disturbed would put him at a serious disadvantage. Understand? He needs time!"
Goku had no choice but to give up on having Monaka fight and obediently returned to Vegeta's side.
Beerus let out a sigh of relief.
"Heh heh, Lord Beerus, you seem pretty panicked!" Whis said gleefully.
Beerus snapped, "You can't go around saying things like that, Whis! We almost gave ourselves away!"
Whis smiled faintly. "I never thought the God of Destruction, Lord Beerus, would be a liar!"
Beerus felt awkward, but stubbornly replied, "Hmph! If it helps Goku get stronger, I don't mind making a small sacrifice!"
Whis: "..."
"Hey! They're about to start!" Piccolo reminded them.
Everyone turned to look at the arena.
Luya looked at Hit, his expression grave.
Though Hit had used up most of his strength, he was still incredibly powerful!
Hit looked at Luya, his expression calm. No one knew what he was thinking.
Luya suddenly took out a Senzu Bean and tossed it to Hit.
Everyone: "..."
Beerus and the others' expressions changed at once.
"That guy! How could he be so reckless?!" Beerus glared at Luya, his face twisted with anger. He was furious now.
"What's Luya... what's he trying to do?" Krillin and the others asked, confused.
"Idiot!" Piccolo and Vegeta both looked displeased.
"Ha... haha, Luya's got the same spirit I did back in the day!" Goku laughed, surprised. He was still a little excited, though, because this might mean he'd get to see Monaka fight after all.
"What's this?" Hit asked, looking at Luya.
Luya smiled. "It's a Senzu Bean. It'll restore your stamina to its peak in an instant!"
Hit looked puzzled. "Why are you giving me this? If I'm back at full strength, Universe 7 might not stand a chance!"
Luya smiled faintly. "That's not necessarily true! I have some confidence in myself. And I'm no coward. You've got less than half your original stamina and strength, so I want to fight you at your best, too!"
"Hahaha!! Idiot! I can't believe someone could be this stupid! Are you handing Universe 6 a free win?!" Champa burst out laughing. He looked at Beerus. "Hey, Beerus, I'll gladly take your Earth!"
"Damn it!!" Beerus was so furious his face turned purple. He looked at Luya, his gaze cold. "Listen, if you can't win, I'll destroy you!"
Luya glanced at Beerus, then smiled. "I'll do my best!"
Hit looked at him, then smiled slightly. "You're as interesting as Sun Wukong. But even so, I won't go easy on you!"
Luya grinned confidently. "Bring it on!"
Hit glanced at Goku in the stands, then, without another moment's hesitation, swallowed the Senzu Bean.
In less than two seconds, Hit was back at full strength!
Hit looked at Luya and said, "You're a Saiyan, too, right? Then show me your strength. Otherwise, you won't stand a chance!"
Luya gave him a strange smile. "Then allow me to show you!"
