Trying to Exploit a Bug

"What are you afraid of?"

Li Shu lifted the soldier off the ground and stared straight at him.

The soldier felt as if the man's eyes could devour him. A chill ran through his body, and he trembled even harder.

"Please, spare me," the soldier pleaded, shaking.

Li Shu gently set him down, but the soldier's legs had already gone weak with fear. Unable to stand, he slumped to the ground, his eyes filled with terror.

"I need you to answer a few questions." Li Shu looked down at him, his expression stern.

The soldier nodded frantically. Just then, another soldier behind him scrambled to his feet and bolted for the door while Li Shu wasn't looking.

At the same time, Li Shu moved. Though his back was turned to the fleeing soldier, it was as if he had eyes in the back of his head, letting him pinpoint the man's every move.

Li Shu raised a hand and pointed behind him. A beam of energy shot out, piercing the fleeing soldier's heart in an instant and killing him with one strike.

The sudden sight made the other soldiers, who had been considering doing the same, swallow hard, their hearts filled with fear.

As if nothing had happened, Li Shu said, "Tell me every crime you've ever committed. If I find out you've held anything back, you've already seen what happens."

"And all of you, get ready. I'll question you one by one." He turned and surveyed the other soldiers.

Crimes?

The soldiers stared blankly. Thinking about the things they had done, they realized that in front of this demon, their misdeeds were nothing.

"I... I once peeked at the neighbor lady while she was bathing when I was a kid," the soldier said quietly.

Li Shu looked at him without expression and said in a low voice, "I'll give you one more chance to answer properly."

The soldier swallowed, his forehead slick with sweat. He spoke with some difficulty. "I killed my own father! He..."

"Good. That's enough." Li Shu cut off the soldier's explanation. He didn't want to know why. Judging by the result alone, that crime was already heinous enough.

Li Shu went to the next soldier.

"Tell me the worst crime you've committed. Like the last guy, who killed his own father. That's pretty damn serious."

The soldier trembled as he replied, "I... I slept with my neighbor's wife. When he found out, I killed his whole family."

One by one, the remaining soldiers confessed to their crimes.

There was no denying that the crimes committed by these eight soldiers were all serious enough to warrant the death penalty.

If he handed all eight of them over to the police, would that count as punishing evil and promoting the good?

And they'd count as eight separate heinous crimes, right?

Li Shu immediately called the police, briefly explained what had happened, and said he had stumbled upon and taken down a criminal organization. He hoped they would send officers to clean up as soon as possible.

"What? Muscle Tower? Do you mean the Muscle Tower in the north, the one belonging to the Red Ribbon Army?"

The dispatcher sounded astonished when he heard the location.

Even the police didn't want to offend the Red Ribbon Army. The private military organization was powerful enough to be called a warlord regime.
