Background / History

The Lord of Glory was once the God of Vengeance and the second Human God-King. He succeeded the God of Knights, refused to replace the first God-King’s plain thorn-and-iron crown, and adopted the divine name “Lord of Glory,” stating that the crown possessed a radiance too brilliant to look upon. 980

He was a disciple of the God of Knights and inherited his teacher’s interest in the path toward great divine power. Unlike the God of Knights, who primarily preserved humanity through warfare against the orcs, the Lord of Glory pursued political, military, and economic expansion on a continental scale. 397 985

His first major policy as humanity’s leader was a strategic retreat from the northern-central grasslands. He consolidated human territory behind the Graystone, Giant Beast, and Cloud-Breaking Mountains, then pushed south to seize gnome lands. He later initiated the Age of Great Voyages, which contributed to the founding of the Gold Coin Federation, Arcane Tower Federation, Thunder Duchy, and Daka Trade Alliance. Under his leadership, humanity became the Main Plane’s dominant race. 397

By the time of the Orc Empire’s invasion of the Eagle Kingdom, he had devoured the Water Mother and acquired authority over humanity itself, further elevating his already formidable standing among the gods. 237

The Lord of Glory is domineering, severe, and uncompromising. As a mortal, he already rejected opposing opinions; as a god, he treated rules, discipline, and the execution of orders as absolute necessities.
