Ning Rongrong is the daughter of Ning Fengzhi, Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Raised as the sect's protected little princess, she developed a spoiled, mischievous reputation and regularly used secluded alleys to bait thugs for her hidden guards to apprehend. 29

One night, three attackers targeted her. Ye Qing and Dugu Yan intervened before her guards acted; Ye Qing killed the three assailants with cyan flame without activating a soul ring. Witnessing the corpses and the reality of death left Rongrong shaken and guilty, prompting her to seek a way to thank her rescuers. 29 30

After learning that Ye Qing and Dugu Yan attended Heaven Dou Royal Academy, Rongrong asked to enroll there, citing both gratitude and the academy's more exciting environment. Ning Fengzhi permitted the transfer, supported by Sword Douluo Chen Xin. 39
