Background / History

Dong'er was the sole survivor of a village attacked by evil soul masters; her parents and the rest of the village were killed. She was taken to Spirit Hall's orphanage, where she was ostracized and isolated by the other children. Lion Douluo later selected her to serve as a companion and nominal maid for his grandson, Xiao Yao. 1

Although formally a maid, she received the same food, clothing, cultivation resources, and care as Xiao Yao. Over three years, the pair read, studied, and trained together. Dong'er became devoted to him because he and Lion Douluo treated her with kindness rather than contempt for her background. 1

At her martial soul awakening, she manifested twin top-tier spider martial souls and innate full soul power. Her talent earned her appointment as Spirit Hall's Holy Maiden, with resource priority second only to Xiao Yao. 2 6
