He became a longtime acquaintance and sparring partner of Qian Daoliu. Their public reputation held that Tang Chen won more often than he lost, but those bouts were fought under conditions where Qian Daoliu suppressed his soul power, did not use his ninth soul skill or divine artifact, and relinquished his aerial advantage. Spirit Hall confrontation

After Tang Hao and Tang Feng are detained by Spirit Hall, Tang Chen learns that Bibi Dong defeated Tang Hao and Xiao Yao knocked Tang Feng unconscious. He is shocked by their soul-ring configurations but immediately concludes that the two prodigies must be eliminated before they can threaten the Clear Sky Sect. 69

He travels to Heaven Dou Imperial City and challenges Qian Daoliu. His stated purpose is to recover Tang Feng and Tang Hao, but he plans to seriously injure Qian Daoliu and kill the Holy Son and Holy Maiden if the opportunity arises. 70

Defeat by Qian Daoliu

Tang Chen orders the Clear Sky Sect to cooperate with Spirit Hall and transfer all of its resources and businesses.
